Just as described! Saves you from buying fake gold or other metals. Will last you a long time too, I am very satisfied with this brand and also the stone provided will not harm your item you are testing, it is smooth, but still makes the mark, so that is perfect, no one wants a scratched up piece after testing it.. this works great. i did many trials with fake and real and even plated, it was dead on everytime

Great product.

Great price, they work just fine. Also, you can use 18k to test silver. Just get your silver scrub on the black rock and poor some of the 18k and you will get a blue color if it is real silver. Great product, I been using it for a year now and still work.

GOOD PRICE FOR GOLD TESTING KIT

This is an excellent price for a gold testing kit. Previous comment that you must have gold testing needles is NOT correct. If you make a testing mark on the stone (with the item you want to test)and use the correct acid for what you think the piece is, and the tested mark holds, there is no need to test against jewelers gold needles. If it dissolves, try the next lower acid. Keep doing this until it holds and you know what karat it is.
