I’m using this for the needles from my insulin pens and lancets from testing, so it will last a long time before getting full. I can see if you’re using syringes, it would probably fill up a lot faster. It’s a great design with two different openings, one for the lancets and the other for removing the needle from the pen without having to put the shield back on. Perfect for my needs. And seals up permanently when you’re ready to dispose of it.
Perfect for my home. Takes up little space and can be hidden easily when guests come by. Fast shipping and a fair price. I'm the only one who uses it and 1 shot a day. It has last me a few months now.
It does the job it’s supposed to. I like this one better than the open style, it’s much safer this way. I’ve used this style from the beginning. Got my first one when I was only testing. Now I’m testing twice daily and two doses of insulin. I’m confident that the house is safer with this sharpes container.
These are the best containers for diabetic testing needles. Perfect medium size, sturdy, and safe. Hard to find in a store and generally have to be special ordered. Glad I could get what I wanted from Amazon.
I got this to store the spent needles I use for my cat who gets sub-q fluids for her kidney disease. Once it's full I take it to a local drug store which charges a disposal fee based on the container size. If you ever close the lid, be prepared to break a finger trying to open it again.
This is the second one I've ordered. Its the perfect storage size for my used pen needles. I wish it came with more information on how to properly dispose of full sharps containers. My local waste management doesn't pick up used sharps so I had to do a lot of research on line to find an affordable option.
I am an idiot and originally wrote an incorrect review stating these wouldn't fit pen needles with the safety cap attached. I found a way to do it. Just insert the wide end into the big hole and push. This worked perfectly.
I haven't used any other brand of Sharps Container, but this one fits my needs, and does it very well. I only use these for the care of my animals, so it will take 3 years to fill up this one too. I'm a happy furbaby mom.
My husband recently started taking insulin and we needed a way to dispose of the needles from his insulin pens. This container is perfect for that. The container is very sturdy. And the size is perfect to keep in the cabinet and not take up too much space.
This is a good tool for aiding me in my daily blood sugar monitoring/control routine. I am no longer concerned with safe disposal of both used lancets and needles from insulin pens. This container makes easy work of pen needle disposal - just place the end of the pin needle into the provided hole on the unit and turn it counter clockwise, the pen needle falls into the container. I also put my used lancets in the container. The unit is big enough to hold quite a few pen needles/lancets yet is small enough to be unobtrusive in my home environment. It is durable with a biohazard warning sticker on the side and has a snap cap top. Looks much better than an old milk jug used to and is much more durable !
