nice and big!! we get a lot of packages so our lady was always having to come to the door, this was a nice color green that blends in with our gardening. hard to choose white or black when there is really none of those colors on my house. The green was a toss up but i'm glad i got it. its not too large where neighbors are wondering but it is large enough to fit shutterfly books, shirts, magazines, and all the adds+mail with no issues. fit on our old post that held a standard size box. rained last week, mailbox held up fine.

I went to put it up as soon as I got it and it's huge! Its a big boy! I know our neighborhood mail man will no longer be upset with me for having to deal with my broken down old, hanging off the rail mailbox. Cheap but it is super huge and gets the job done. You can get lost in this mailbox.

Excellent mid-size mailbox !

This is a good quality mailbox that is easy to install. The size is perfect for recieving packages from big A and others. Price is reasonable. The door works good and has a positive lock that can be adjusted, so that it want flop open. This is a wear item and in 5-10 years will need to be replaced. The door is the achilles heel as it takes alot of abuse. Still, it's an excellent product. As more and more sellers will be using the USPS for last mile delivery, you are going to need a box this size.

This is exactly what the title states...a big, burly steel mailbox. My old one was smaller and took a few hits so I decided to upgrade to this one. I made a mounting block out of some pressure treated lumber I had lying around and then used exterior screws to attach the mailbox. It is rock solid. The door closes much better than our old one and there is no danger of accidentally coming open. I made a slight adjustment to the mechanism (bent it a bit with channel locks) to make the door closing/opening a bit more deliberate so it's nice that you have that capability with this unit. We're a big package family since we buy almost everything online and this makes it easier on the postman since he can fit most of our packages in the mailbox now instead of schlepping them up to the porch.

Good Choice

My old, standard size mailbox was damaged by a falling branch. I replaced it with the large sized Gibraltar. I attached the box to a scrap 2x8 with a couple of thin spacers to ensure a snug fit. I then attached the mailbox to the post (a metal pipe sandwiched between 2x4s) using inexpensive, heavy duty shelving braces. A quick and easy installation. The Gibraltar is well constructed and very solid. I am happy with it and I know the postal lady appreciates the size because it is easier for her to place the frequent small boxes that I receive, and less trips to my door.

Size does matter!

I love this mailbox and so does my letter carrier (formerly known as the postman). It holds A LOT of mail and packages. He used to have to walk up the driveway and leave packages by our door, now most of them fit into this box, saving him a trip. Installation was easy and quick. I noticed it's much bigger then most other mailboxes, but it doesn't look out of place in our neighborhood. Highly recommended!

No Complaints 5 stars... !!!!

This was a gift for my mother for Christmas who up until December had a mailbox that was in poor shape..... My sister and I decided that I would purchase the mailbox and my sister and her husband would build and install the post for it...... Now visualize this.... A December with mild temps and the permafrost hadn't really become a issue.... So I purchased this mailbox and had it shipped to my mothers home.... From there my mother lettered it and my brother in law installed it on a post that he designed...... I seriously doubt the county highway department will be able to detach it... The snow in this picture was the first accumulating snow they had that fell the day after it was installed.. My mother has no complaints.... The door and flag work perfect in her opinion no issues at all .... In the photo you will see where I blacked out her address for privacy issues that there appear to be scratches.... That is not the case ...Its either chalk or a grease pencil that she used to line the lettering up...

Looks nice and isn't to terribly

My amazon packages finally fit! Half the time the boxes weee crammed in there so hard I could barely remove them. Looks nice and isn't to terribly. Side by side vs standard box since it was try hard to gauge based on dimensions. Driving down the street you barely notice that it's bigger.
