For 200 bucks I don't feel it's right to sit and nit pick this pedal. $200=5stars . It's built well, the range of adjustments are fine for the basic needs of the average player. It's got one single chain but doesn't feel cheap and weak. It works and I haven't had any problems with it.. some food for thought. I wear a size 12 shoe and I'm not really able to do the heel to toe double hit cause the pedal is just too short for my heel to touch.. But whatever you still get good speed from it. I'd recommend this pedal for a good upgrade from your factory include single pedal.. but if you bought a really nice kit and it came with a single pedal , chances are your not really gonna go for this. It's like driving a 8 cylinder and going to a 6cyl. But if you started with a crappy 4cyl. Then this seems really legit . Haha best I can describe it.

I am a well-known professional recording & touring drummer with plenty of endorsements, and have been playing 30+ years. For me, this is the most fluid and fast pedal I have ever used, and I have pretty much played them all (Tama, Pearl, DW, Ludwig, Trick, Gibraltar, Sonor & Yamaha). I currently have a Pearl endorsement, and I like this much better than their premier Demon Drive pedals. And you just can't beat the price for what this pedal offers in the way of quality and performance. I love it so much that I have purchased 5 (no endorsement with Pacific, but I like it that much) . . . touring kit (1 primary & 1 backup), studio kit (1 primary & 1 backup), and one backup packaged up at home and ready to be over-nighted anywhere in the world if needed.

I debated for a while on getting these but I'm glad I pulled the trigger! They seem very sturdy. They are smooth and silent, very very good feel. I don't care for the beaters though, but hey who cares, I make my own! Good product reasonable price. If you are looking for a good starter double, then look no further!

This is a great pedal for the price. Granted it doesn't have alot of adjustments. But is a solid, very smooth pedal. I see no reason to pay hundreds of dollars more - this pedal will get the job done.PDP products are darn close to being as good as DW the parent brand. A great but for the money. If you are a heel/toe or slide player you may want wider or longer footboards. However to that I would also suggest there are better ways to get speed other than those 2 methods anyway.

Got this for a backup. have a high end DW, that is now my backup lol. Pedal feels great, plays like a MUCH more expensive pedal! Love it!

I am a complete happy camper with this pedal, better than my 200 bucks Mapex in price and quality. The feel is awesome and very responsive. I get the double beats I need for my songs easily. definitely I would buy again and recommend it to any one.

I've used these for the past 2 years and never had a single issue once. I thrash double bass hard for some of the songs I play and it's held up like a champ. 5/5

I ordered this product with free shipping, it said I would get it once a week, I got mine in 1 day! Awesome speed guys. I thought the rod that connected the 2 pedals was to small but then I saw it extended! Perfect. The only thing that scared me about the package was that it had a hole in the box. I took a picture just Incase I needed to send it back but nope. Every thing was perfect. No problems amazing speedy delivery.

I went from normal car, to sport's car ! Direct drive was said to feel different from the chain i guess so? But the control is so much better ,no loose feel or wiggles that alone can make you kick better. Trust me this is a really good pedal.I'm sure those other more expensive pedal's have more option's and that's great ! but for a $1000.00 to $1500.00 when you can pay around $300.00 for this. You wont regret it i didn't.

I bought this for my step-father to use with his digital drum set. His drum set up took up a whole room in the house and was driving my mother crazy! This was mostly my gift to my mother--I bought him a digital drum set for Christmas and these pedals are what he later asked for his birthday. I wasn't entirely sure they would work with the digital drums but the listing said they would--and they did! They have worked great. My step-father has praised them ever since he's gotten them, and with the whole set--the digital drums, these pedals, and some crazy expensive music recording mixer I bought him the year before--he's actually recorded a whole album. So, I'd say these pedals are worth it. Even the price is good, as what I was looking at in store was way more expensive. The pedals even work with a regular drum set so they're versatile. Definitely a great buy!
