What's the non copyrighted name for Velcro?

It's Velcro, it works like it's supposed to, but I was more worried about the adhesive backing. I use it in my car and it worried about the heat. My worries have been put to ease. It's holding up very well in my car. Answer to the headline - "Hook and loop fastener". In French. I believe it's a play on two words: velvet, and loop. It doesn't quite roll off the tongue.

Great product.

This was a great buy and a great product. This velcro is every strong and can withstand a nice amount of weight. Its just the right length to suit my needs and can be easily cut to fit all needs. Having trouble finding the tv remote? Then just use this and stick the control to the wall next to your bed. Have a picture you want to hang but you don't want to make holes in the wall? Use this velcro to hang it. This product has so many different uses.

Great product

Great little Velcro strips for light uses. I have them all over on remotes, white boards, pens even. Anything I need in easy reach strap a small piece to the wall or table wherever and slap it on the item you want there. I’ve had and remove the same couple items for the wall daily for the past year and finally today one fell off the wall. Great 10/10

Perfect for what I need

Works like a charm for what I need it for. I'm using this to attach the backs of the black out curtains in my childrens' rooms to the wall to eliminate the light that comes in from the sides at nap time. The curtains stay attached to the sticky side of the velcro and the Velcro stays well closed.

Satisfied!

I decided to use the Velcro to attach my tv remotes to my headboard. I've been using it for about two months now and it's still holding up perfectly! It seems very well and durable considering how often I take the remotes off.

Quality product, got the job done!

Obviously a very easy to use product at a great price point. I wish it came with more pieces, but hey what can you do. Comes with a total of 4 pieces. Meaning if you were to attach each velcro piece together, you would have 4 total mounting points. I was able to easily hang a dry erase calendar on my refrigerator with this, probably weighs about 2 pounds. Would buy again!

Nice

I purchased this because I needed something to stick on the bottom of a trunk organizer for my vehicle to keep it from sliding all over the place. The velcro was easy to stick on, and holds well to the material in the trunk of my car. I haven't had issues with the organizer moving, whether it has stuff in it or not!

Just what I needed

I had been trying to mount a rather lightweight power block to the underside of the granite on my kitchen island and, after trying tape and glue dots, I had run out of options I would consider and refused to glue it. I completely forgot about Velcro though and I am happy I picked it up. It works perfectly!

Perfect!

This was exactly what I was looking for and exactly what I needed! I used the strips to spruce up my laundry room in my unfinished basement by attaching a little sign to the cement and attaching a fabric skirt to the tub. They hold both up perfectly and I even bought another package just to keep around the house for other projects that come up! Very pleased.

Amazingly handy for a lot more than you would imagine...

I got this velcro in order to attach my hard drive, and external usb wifi card to the lid of my laptop, as I have done many times before with this very product. It has amazing adhesive properties and has yet to come unstuck from the laptop surface even with the moderate heat of the LCD itself. I make sure to clean the spot where I intend to apply this velcro intensly and I attribute this in addition to the adhesive itself for my experience. The actual velcro connection between the hook and loop sides is very strong, so much so that I always have to keep pressure on the laptop surface to remove either the drive or wifi adapter. However, this isn't very often
