Great desk. Outstanding customer service. A panel was omitted in the original package, but they sent me a new one in a matter of a couple of days. This is the fourth Bush desk I have bought over the years and I have always been very satisfied.

I LOVE my new desk! This piece is solid and heavy, not at all flimsy like a lot of other desks are. It took my husband a while to put it together but it is well worth the results. The drawers are perfect and I really like having the CPU enclosed in its own cabinet. The finished product looks like something you could have easily spent over $1,000 on.

I'm happy with the quality of this desk . But I did cover the top surface with an Etechmart PVC mat .This is not a heavy duty desk but for home computing works good . The next better quality desk I found out there would cost a lot more . Drawers are light duty but with the desk weighting over 200 pounds , the desktop is very sturdy . Took a couple of hours to put together . Would buy again.

You never know what a piece of furniture is going to look like until you see it i person, yet i can tell you this desk looks just like it does online. Its not only beautiful but it fits perfectly. We wanted a desk that my husband and i could share and work on and this is it. We are very happy with our purchase and would definitely go with this company again!

I recently purchased this desk to put into a small room that is going to be used as an office. The room has a non-standard narrow door so a pre-assembled desk would not fit into it so I began looking for desks to assemble. 12 years ago I had assembled a SAUDER computer hutch which is STILL being used but I really liked the look of the Bush Somerset L-Desk and when it went on sale I knew I could not pass it up. The desk arrived one week after ordering (I also ordered a hutch) and my first impression was that is it HEAVY. The wood is pressed fiberboard but seems to be a a little sturdier than the Sauder. The backs of some of the pieces showed pencil marks which actually made me feel better as this showed that SOMEONE was paying attention during the cutting process and took time to insure the product was cut correctly. In addition to the parts supplied I purchased Elmers Probound advanced and 'Gorilla Glue for wood'. The instructions are VERY simple and detailed to the point they will even show you on the top of each page where to place the screws for any of the drawer guides. For each and every screw, I put in a drop of the PROBOND glue and where wood met wood I used the Gorilla glue. I did not want to rush assembly, so I disciplined myself do only two pages of the instructions per night. Within six evenings I had the entire desk assembled and was shocked at how well it fit together. There were NO gaps anywhere! It is TIGHT and looks as good as the illustration. I also made one more addition, on the bottom of each and every leg I glued a felt 'slider' so the desk would not scratch the floor. I wish these had been supplied but they only cost $3. By the way, I purchased power strip 'Prime Wire & Cable PB800012 12-Outlet 4-Foot Metal Power Strip with 6-Foot Cord, Black' through Amazon and it fit PERFECTLY on the back of the desk. I drilled a small hole in the plastic cap on each side of the power strip and used a small screw to secure it to the desk (after installing the hutch) and it made a very neat setup.

The top is hard enough to hold a 32" iMac on the left and triple monitor windows photoshop setup on the right, the keyboard tray works like magic, the drawers are higher quality than IKEA and I am PUMPED that I discovered this company before they get popular and high priced. I'm telling everyone about this! One downside, you have to drill your own holes to run cables as this is a very conservative laptop based desk for papers and pens for analog people. I was surprised I had to drape my cables over the back, honestly.

So let me start off by saying that this desk is absolutely AMAZING. me and my husband assembled this desk in about two hours. the pieces were all labeled incredibly well. the one thing to look out for are the screws as they are not labeled, but just match the picture to the screw and your good. after the desk was all assembled i sat on it to see how sturdy it was i weigh about 130, the desk says it can support 200lbs so why not. The desk didn't move an inch nor did it creak or crack by my sitting on it. you can't even shake or wiggle the desk it is super sturdy!

Solid as a rock, i only wish i had gone for the lighter color cherry as this dark color shows all the dust and cat hair. But otherwise it works fantastic in my home office.

This is a tremendous desk. The cherry color is somewhat unique and gorgeous - it looks and feels like a much higher quality desk that what you think you'll be getting. Decent storage as well, and I'm a big fan that the keyboard drawer is reversible so you can figure out the best configuration for your workspace. The L-shape is great for feng shui if you're into that kind of thing, and keeps your workspace uncluttered if you're not. I do wish there was better cable management - I might drill a small hole or two - and the slide-out keyboard tray is very tight. Also, if I'm nit-picking, it was tough to get the drawers to be completely flush. However, none of this is enough to lose a star in my opinion. People complained in the reviews about the setup, but not only was it not that bad, but pretty fun. You probably do need two people - but it's not arduous at all. No harder than IKEA, and a much higher quality product. Highly recommended.

The delivery estimate was two weeks when I placed the order, but the freight company called me within a week to let me know my shipment was ready for delivery. When I began to sort through the pieces (lots of assembly required!) I noticed that the main desktop had been damaged in transit. No worries, though, Bush furniture offers a full warranty and shipped out a replacement right quick. I wound up receiving the replacement piece on the originally scheduled delivery date, so it all worked out! The desk itself was pretty easy to put together. If you're not inclined to get your hands dirty assembling this beast, you may want to call in a friend who enjoys building things, or spring for a furniture assembly company. Like I said earlier... lots of assembly required! All put together, the desk is great! Fits perfectly in the space and looks high-quality. Feels high-quality too. I didn't run into any of the problems described here on Amazon... such as mis-aligned drawers and flimsy keyboard drawers. I guess I'll watch for that, but for now everything seems quite sturdy. The bottom line... I'd recommend this to a friend. Good desk.
