Gawd-send for adult cat with stomach issues

One of my cats developed stomach issues and an eating disorder which nearly killed him due to starvation (vet & many expensive tests couldn't find anything wrong). After trying about 50 different cat foods (wet & dry; premium, prescription, & generic), I bought a small bag of this for the high calorie count. To my shock, he ate it... lots of it... without having any stomach issues and now, months later, is a healthy weight again. Other foods still cause him to get sick so this is his primary diet now. It literally saved his life.

For healthy, happy, active kitties

I've been using this since I got my little Pippin at 7 weeks. He's now 8 months and a healthy, happy, active, full-grown kitty! I got him neutered at about 6 months and they said it would take him a bit to recover but he was UP AND ATTUM before his drugs even wore off! I don't know if that's his natural resiliency (he is the ONLY survivor of his entire litter) or if he's just really healthy because of his diet. More specifically, I brought him home and they said that he might not have an appetite until the next day, but the MOMENT I opened his carrier he DARTED to his food bowl. I originally also got wet food for him, but that was kind of a hassle considering he could only ever eat about half of those little kitten cans, so I'd have to refrigerate it until he was hungry again. Now I just free-feed and was worried about him being fat, but I switched to measuring out the recommended amount but he didn't even finish. I think I'm just comparing him to when he used to be little. Ingredients: They say you shouldn't buy any dry food that has corn as the first ingredient, and this has some sort of meat as the first ingredient, so that's good. Corn is the 2nd ingredient so it's hard to say how much of a difference there is. I'm thinking of doing a bit more research into it but Pip has only eaten this his whole, short life and he's very healthy so I wouldn't go back and change anything. I'll likely switch to the Purina cat chow once his birthday comes around. Pictures: Pip when I first got him and Pip a week ago.

This food was purchased to nourish a group of 10 rescued kittens. They feasted on this diet for over 6 weeks, and the result was FABULOUSLY HEALTHY BABIES. I'm so pleased with the results of this product from Purina.

Great Food For My Kitten

This food is great for my kitten, who was about 5 months old when we rescued her from being a stray two months ago. I wanted specifically kitten food until she isn't a kitten anymore, and I like that this is a large bag that will last us quite a while. In fact, there's still quite a lot of the bag left. She's about 7 months old now, and by the time this food runs out, it'll be about time to switch her to regular adult cat food anyway. If you have a kitten, I would definitely recommend this.

Only food my picky cat will eat

I've gone through so many expensive cat foods only to arrive at this affordable choice. Better said, my cat made this choice. She loves it. Easy for her to digest and keeps her weight steady. She is 100% house cat and this food keeps her regular without irregular, stinky bowel movements..not a pleasant subject but a real concern for cat owners. I love my cat and I want the best for her. How nice to find an affordable cat food that she loves and that is good for her. She is about one year old and I plan on making this one her food for years to come..

I started feeding this to a cat that had skin issues and his skin and fur is so nice now he is an older cat and they need this extra nutri. for there bodys to stay healthy-- not just for kittens any more. all cats need good nutri.

Great for any cat!

I have been using Purina Kitten Chow for years and years. I have both older and younger cats and I have found that this is the best cat food around for them. It is less harsh on their tummies than any other cat food I have tried. And I have tried the more expensive kinds that are supposed to be good for the intestinal tracts, etc. My cats will throw up every kind of food except for the Purina Kitten Chow. I just leave it down dry for them to nibble on all day long. I found if I leave it down for them to snack on it as they want to, they are a lot less likely to upchuck than if I feed them once or twice a day and they try to lug it all down. That doesn't sit well with them. I have one very old cat (he is 17 years old) and his teeth are getting very old -- it is hard for him to chew the dry cat food. So I get him a separate bowl and put the dry food in there and put some water on it so it is soft food for him. Because this is kitten chow, it has extra nutrients in it, which I really want for my older cats. I like that I can buy it from Amazon and have it delivered to my front door. No heavy lifting at the store and from my car to my house. (I'm getting older, too!)

I have found that my older cat does so much better on dry food

My kitten is now almost a year old, so I will be switching to adult formula dry cat food. I mix adult and kitten food for my cats. I have found that my older cat does so much better on dry food. She was eating canned food along with the dry and throwing up all over my condo. When I ran out of canned food for a couple of days, she seemed to stop throwing up. Once I stopped giving her the canned food she stopped throwing up altogether, so I will continue with Purina Cat Chow Dry Food.

My adult cats and kittens LOVE this product

I've used Kitten Chow Nurturing formula for years to feed my cats, old and young. It keeps babies healthy, strong, happy with great coats, bright eyes. My cats love the taste too and just shine with health and vigor when on this formula. Other products just fail to give the same results.. This supplier also delivered this huge bag before date of arrival. I am ordering again to keep this supply on hand since getting this product locally has been inconsistent.
