Great price
Really saved my wife. It took the tenderness away

The best breastfeeding companion
This is simply the best ointment for sore nipples from breastfeeding. I received a tube of the Medela ointment in the hospital, and it was very helpful. I bought a tube of Lansinoh before my baby was born because it seemed to be the most popular. After my sample of the Medela was used up, I tried the Lansinoh. The Lansinoh was sticky, thick, and paste-like. It just felt gross and I had to scrub the remainder of my fingers. In comparison, the Medela glides on extremely smooth, straight out of the tube, and the excess wipes away easily. Apparently you are supposed to rub the Lansinoh between your fingers before using it - but who has time for that when you’re dealing with the discomfort of newly breastfeeding and trying to learn how to keep a baby alive? It sounds like a minor inconvenience, but trust me - you want things as simple as possible. After trying the Lansinoh I immediately ordered a full-size tube of the Medela ointment. My baby is 4 months old and I only just had to order a second tube. Money very well-spent!

It's like silk!
This stuff is like silk. The hospitals where we live do not use this but instead use another brand but it does not compare. Hang in there momma, it gets better but you have to take care of yourself and this stuff is a great way to start. I used it multiple times a day until I was "healed" enough to bring the baby back to my breast. I also used it for 12 months with each of my babies. You won't be sorry with this purchase, the other brands do not compare.

Must have for new moms
This was a total life saver for me. Breastfeeding can be hard. There were days when I was in so much pain from being raw, it was uncomfortable to wear much of anything. I put this on and it made a world of difference. I put a dime size amount on a nursing pad and then make sure to place it so you are covered. The nursing pad helped to keep the lanolin in place and from oozing onto my bra/clothing. This is one of those products EVERY new mom needs. I tried another product that was "organic" and it was way too thin and just didn't do the job. I love the consistency of this product. It's thick enough to stay and to almost melt into your skin so you can stay moisturized, but it's not too think to where you feel like you are tugging on your skin and causing pain in applying the product.

An absolute must-have for new breastfeeding moms.
Absolutely a MUST for breastfeeding moms. I could not have gotten through those first weeks without this. It took me about six weeks to get comfortable breastfeeding. Now at three months I don’t need it anymore. Use a little dab after you breastfeed each time. Don’t skip it! It helps heal your nipples after each feeding. I am lucky that I overproduce and so I only give my baby one side each time she eats and that gave me even more time to heal after each feeding. This will stain clothing. All my nursing bras have little spots on the inside, but who cares about an ugly nursing bra anyway? You’re already going to leak milk in there. I used this on my baby’s chin too when she started to get a friction rash. Luckily it cleared it up in no time and she looked flawless for her newborn photos. You can even use this as diaper rash ointment. To all the new moms out there - you’ve got this! The first two weeks are the hardest and then I promise it gets way better! My baby is three months old today and I hardly remember the struggle of healing from a c-section with no sleep trying to figure out how to feed my baby. I felt like I was a terrible mother but we eventually figured it out. Don’t be afraid to pump for a few days to give your breasts a break and just bottle feed your baby. You can always supplement with formula if you need to. “Fed is best” and driving yourself insane isn’t good for anybody...but either way get a tube of this stuff. It’s the bomb!

I would recommend anyone pumping to definitely use this before each pump
I pumped exclusively and I had no idea I needed to use something in order to protect my nipples from all the "wear and tear" of pumping. I had such a hard time in the first few months due to thrush and chaffing from the pumping that I almost gave up pumping. I finally got rid of the thrush thru antifungal cream and antibiotics from my doctor. The lactation nurse told me to use lanolin on my nipples to relieve the chaffing. I had tried the Lansinoh brand one first, but I found it to be too thick and hard to wash off after every pumping session. The Medela one coated my skin just enough to protect it without being too thick and it lasted a lot longer than the Lansinoh ones. I'm 7 months in and been loving this product. I would recommend anyone pumping to definitely use this before each pump.

Saved my nipples and sons chapped lips!!!
This is a MUST HAVE for breastfeeding mamas. Only reason I made it past the one week mark was this product. Baby did not mind it and my nipples were always covered in it. Dis not have ANY chapping or bleeding and it was because this nipple saver. Also used on my sons chapped upper lip. Is kind of greasy so watch where you wipe it would get on bra and clothing if I didn't use organic washable breast pads.

nothing hurts worse than painful nips
You know those “top 10” lists of “all the items you’re going to NEED” when the baby comes? Well, this should be at the top of every one of them! Whether you’re going to be breastfeeding or pumping, nothing hurts worse than painful nips! I swear, I’d rather go through the pain of childbirth again and again rather than feel the agony of another cracked nipple. Hooray then for Medela Tender Care Lanolin! Other brands require that you warm up the product between your fingers before applying. Who’s got the time for that after a feeding in the middle of the night when you just want to get back in bed? This stuff glides on cool and smooth, for immediate relief, and is just jelly-like enough to stay put and do it’s healing work until your next feed/pump. The relief at that next latch is amazing. A few applications later, you’re all healed and back in business. I love that this stuff is hypoallergenic, all natural, so it’s safe for me, and you don’t have to wipe it off before baby nurses. It has no foul taste or smell. I tried another brand of lanolin (in a little blue jar) that was more expensive, but my baby clearly didn’t like the taste of it. When she would slip up or bite me because of the yucky taste, she would yank off quickly which would just damage the nip again. No good! It would also melt quite a bit once applied, and sometimes left oily spots when it leaked onto my bra/shirt. The Medela brand is less messy, and the flip-cap is easier to handle with one hand (unlike the jar which requires both hands to unscrew the lid first). And, ounce-for-ounce you’ll be hard pressed to find a better price than this one. I went through that other little jar in about four weeks; the Medela lanolin tube has a precise applicator tip, so there’s less waste. 2 months later, I’m not even halfway through the tube. Whether you’re expecting, already established breastfeeding, pumping, or searching for the perfect item to include in that baby shower gift basket, this is one of those “top 10 items” every mom should have!

Better than the other brands!
So wether you are a first time mom or having your thirteenth kid, YOU NEED THIS! I had used another brand prior because that’s what they gave me in the hospital. This one was cheaper on amazon so I decided to give it a whirl thinking even if it gives a tiny bit of relief it would be great. By the way this is my third baby, and I am just finding out about this. Well let me tell you this is the BEST, EASIEST, MOST RELIEF GIVING stuff ever! I will NEVER use the other stuff ever again. I use this every time I nurse right now since baby is only a week. It works so easily. It spreads easily when other brands do not (and let be honest any touching of that area hurts horribly so easy to spread is a must). I am glad that I found this stuff. I can tell when I forget to use it and it definitely hurts a lot more when I don’t use it.

The best out there on the market!
I first received a sample of this while in the hospital after delivery. For home breastfeeding, I had purchased the Lansinoh lanolin but I was much more pleased with this lanolin that I purchased a full size from Amazon. The Lansinoh tube requires you to warm the lanolin with your fingers to soften it up before application. Just one extra step for a sleep deprived mom! This lanolin tube has a great consistency and spreads easily. You don't have to wash it before breastfeeding, and my baby hasn't had a problem with taste at all. Love this stuff and would highly recommend if you're looking to try relief for nipples while breastfeeding.
