We bought this for our daughters for Christmas. My dad is huge into metal hunting and we are going out West to spend some time bonding with the grandparents and this was top on our list. My 10 year old has found many front yard trinkets. She is excited to really break it in with her grandma. We ended up buying a rechargeable 9vt kit with 4 batteries.

Great machine!

Great little machine for the money. Light and easy to use. I don't discriminate much on my searching so the numeric readout can be pretty off the wall on good hits but if it says it's a coin over and over again it's almost always a coin. The pinpoint works great also but you have to hit the button a couple of times to narrow the search field down . If it says it's in the middle of the coil that's we're it's at. Good luck to everyone and kudos to Bounty Hunter for making such an affordable machine with pinpoint and ground balance.

Great father son detector

I purchased this for my son and grandson. We got pictures the day after Christmas with them hunting in their front yard. They had already located a cub scout neckerchief slide. No problems out of the box and they were using the detector the same day. This particular metal detector was a great value for the price.

Best metal detector for the price. Not a single detector delivers the performance of the 3300 at it's price point and picks up deep targets. It's also sensitive enough to find finger nail size pieces of metal well beyond 6". It's so accurate at detecting that my confidence level is high with this. If your familiar with metal detecting you'll love this unit and won't be disappointed. The detector itself is better than I am if your know what I mean. Accurate depth sensing, accurate metal detection, etc. Most detectors are gimmicky in that they try to tell you what you found on the LCD display. Ignore that because many metal items are made of the same thing. Spend some time familiarizing yourself with the detector (any for that matter) and you'll find more than you're looking for!

Fun & Awesome:

Product came in great condition and time of delivery was right. Have used the Bounty Hunter 3300 in my yard and would never have believed how much metal is in it. Found everything from nails to coins and even what at first we couldn't identify a chunk of rusty square heavy metal object. After chipping away rust and corrosion found to be an old Craftsman steel tape measure. The unit is well designed and light weight has a very comfortable fit to arm as well as easy to adjust and use. Great fun at the beach and have found objects at 2ft. dept. I'm very happy with the service and product and would recommend this company and product to others.

I’d choose the Discovery 3309 over most of the brands people use to try to look cool.

Even though I’m not a Bounty Hunter fan, I picked up the 3300 because I liked the features and price. It quickly became my go to. I’m telling you, It is REALLY LIGHT! I can swing it for hours while snagging up the things my other “so called better banded” and WAY more expensive machines left behind. The recovery time isn’t as fast as some of my others, but hey, that was after the 3300 found what others left in the dirt. If you’re thinking about buying the Discovery 3300 better do it quick. The price is creeping up from the original $99 price tag they once had.

I love this metal detector bounty hunter has been around for a long time USA company. I also have a bounty hunter I have had for 40 years and still going strong I hope to get that from this one as well great product

Best one i ever owned!!!!

well i bought a bounty hunter 202 a couple weeks ago just had no luck with it and i've used metal detectors alot. the 202 keep giving me false readings so i sent it back did some more research on this one the Bounty Hunter Discovery 3300 Metal Detector check out the reviews and watch some on you tube those guys tell you like it is before you buy go to you tube and check out your model. well enough of that. i've had this for about 2 weeks and i love it simple to use and to set. found coins in the same place i went over with the 202. buffalo nickel lots of wheat backs i need to get some headsets for it around traffic can't hear well. my daughter bought a 107 year old house and i'm haveing a field day around it. and yes it finds them real deep once you get that ground balance set and the pinpointer is priceless. takes the guess out of where it is. go to you tube watch the videos.
