5 star product!
I love Rogaine foam. It is easy to apply and smells really good. I have been using for three months along with Propidren Propidren DHT Blocker with Saw Palmetto to Prevent Hair Loss and Stimulate Hair Follicles to Stop Hair Loss and Regrow Hair and notice much less hair in the shower and on my pillow, so it is definitely working. It is a great value on Amazon as well, can't beat the price.

It can't always turn back the hands of time, but...
Foam is the better way to apply this product, so spend a little more because it won't drip into your eyes and burn like liquid can. Rub it in and/or brush it into the affected area vigorously, then wash your hands well. I have been using 5% minoxidil for almost 19 years to hold back my male pattern baldness. It can't always turn back the hands of time, but it can hold them in place.

good styling product
I have short dirty blonde hair and this acts as a very good styling product. It makes my hair look thicker immediately and works great on front of hairline (it's just not FDA approved for front hairline because those test are expensive, but it works just as good there as in the back). I'm using it on my face for growing a beard as a ton of others have done and I like this because it doesn't drip. It's expensive and it wastes a lot using on hair so I'm getting the Kirkland liquid for the top and back of my head. I like this for the front because I know it won't drip down. No scent, tastes a little funny, doesn't dry my scalp or face out.

Preserves hair for Heriditary Frontal Male Pattern baldness, but this is a lifetime contract
It works and has saved my hair. I didn't appreciate rogaine foam until I used Kirkland minoxodil topical solution. That thing made me itch like crazy, completely dried out my hair and even caused some hair loss and also caused higher facial hair growth as it dripped down. I guess Rogaine has a lifelong customer. I have been using rogaine foam for 5 years and I have never had a single issue. It does dry out your hair a little , but that's a small price to pay for having hair in the first place. It definitely slows down or prevents frontal baldness though they specifically tell you that this is not what it should be used for. My barber who I have been going to for 14 years said I have not lost any hair when I went to him after a couple of years, though I felt I have lost some volume on the front, though it's not that visible. If you don't use it for a couple of weeks like when you are traveling and forgot to take it, you will notice hair loss, however if you start applying it it goes back to normal. Regular application of this twice a day is highly recommended. Apparently studies have shown that it's safe to use till 65. I have black hair and it works for me. I was concerned about this when I bought it. Cons - This is a lifetime contract and your hair will fall if you stop using it. Decide and think hard before you buy or use. I advised my brother to buy but he didn't and has been maintaining his hair line through regular hair oil massage ( I was surprised too !! ) The price has gone up over the years though, so you might wanna keep that in mind when you enter into this lifetime contract. Think of this as like gardening. If you stop watering your plants they die and in this case you lose more hair than what grew in the first place. Some people have reported that it does not work for them. I also have to warn that for heriditary frontal male pattern baldness it does not cure/ grow back lost hair ( you need a hair transplant if it looks very bad ). It replenishes the lost hair so that you can keep what you have and not become bald. I have not used it for what it was originally intended for which is hair loss at the back or spot baldness ( This is what it was first advertised for when it came out )

I've been mostly using this as instructed twice daily for about 6 weeks now. I forget every so often at night to apply it. I have noticed a difference in the thickness of my hair in some of the spots that I was self-conscious about. My dermatologist recommended this, and said that it really shows most difference after 6 months of use, so I am looking forward to continued improvement.
Generex Tabile
A hair regrowth product that works!
My hair has been gradually thinning over the last 35 years. I have tried many things to help, but nothing really seemed to make a difference. I was at the point where I didn't want to leave the house because my hair was so thin. I tried Rogaine foam at my dermatologist's recommendation. Even though I am female, I use the men's Rogaine two times a day. (Be advised that is not what the instructions recommend for women, so you can make your own decision about using it once (recommended for women) or twice daily.) It was the first thing that had ever helped. I could tell that I was shedding less hair. A few months later, I also started using Monat (directly from the company, so I was sure of authenticity) because my dermatologist had also mentioned Monat as a product that might help. I wash my hair every day with Monat's Intense Repair shampoo and leave it on my hair for 5 minutes before rinsing and conditioning. I think together Rogaine foam and Monat have given me real results. While I still don't have super thick hair, it now looks appropriate for someone my age (55). I am incredibly happy with the results. I don't have to carefully try to arrange it on top and in the back to cover extra thin spots. They are gone. Someone who hadn't seen me in a while stopped by. When I opened the door, she did a double take and said, "You have so much hair!" I told my husband about it and he said, "You do. You look like -" and pointed to a picture on the wall from about 12 years ago. He said I was getting a woolly head again! :) (A slight exaggeration, but still nice to hear!) Also, I wanted to mention what didn't work for me, in case that might help someone. I have tried lots of supplements and pills that are supposed to regrow hair and have never seen any results. I still take biotin anyway, because it is inexpensive, and lots of people say it helps. Also, I have noticed that sugar first thing in the morning really makes me shed a lot of hair. I was having fruit smoothies and my hair really started falling out. I now have a low carb breakfast. Lastly, in the past, when I tried Rogaine, I had always used the generic. I never saw any results, so I assumed the name brand Rogaine wouldn't help either. But, at least for me, there was a night and day difference between generic and name brand Rogaine. (By the way, I am not getting any benefit from Rogaine or Monat for mentioning their products. I just hope my experiences can help someone else.) Blessings!

I have been thinning at a rapid pace since my ...
I have been thinning at a rapid pace since my mid-20s. I'm confident that had I not started using Rogaine, I would need to have shaved my head at this point. There has been very little new growth after a year (baby hairs, sure, but nothing that fills in the thinning) but the rate of loss has dropped to nearly nothing. I wish I started using it earlier to preserve my old thickness. I use it on the front of my head, and it's worked. Short version here: if you're looking for regrowth, this might not work for you. If you're thinning and want to slow the loss, go for it. You won't regret it.

I was frustrated after the first two months and then...
I have tried so many hair loss shampoo's, pills and everything else. I saw pictures of rogaine users before/after and just didn't think it was real. Eventually I thought to give it a try. When I bought it, I got disappointed that it's made for only the "crown" area. I always assumed it would work everywhere since their advertising never specified "just the crown." I have a balding in my crown area + severely receeding front. What I mea by "balding in my crown area,"is that my hair has a "dip," where hair is loosing it ability to grow at the same pace as the other areas around it. I used rogaine for 1 month and saw nothing. Sometimes when I applied it, it even stung really bad. Everthing in the package said to use it fully "3 bottles of mouse for three months." I only did once per day because it would sting if I did 2x a day. 2nd month I saw nothing. I was about to throw it away. I kept at it but didn't pay attention to my crown area anymore. Just thought I would completely use it and then check it then. 3rd month. I was doing my hair and I saw my "dip" severely diminished. I was surprised. Over the next few days, I paid attention to my hair more and I was suprised that it actually worked. I will now stick with this product since I am now very satisfied with the results I got.

The Brutal Reality...
This is a very good product, but it's not a magic potion. I have been using it for years, and seen others use it for years and here is what I can attest to: The sooner you start using Rogaine, the better. Yes, for some people, not that many, it grows hair where there was none {and yes, you could be one of those). But, the most common effect of Rogaine is to help you keep most of the hair you already have and maybe help a little in areas you still hair (but want more). So, if a "normal" human loses 100 hairs a day, and you are losing 150 [which is terrible, because day after day, that adds up...], if Rogaine can decrease that daily loss to 110 or less, that is fantastic. That is the effect it has in me and I am very happy. Would I wish it was more effective in the regrowing part, YEAH, but while such product appears this is doing me a great service. And it does help, although to a lesser extent, for frontal baldness and receding hairline (not by regrowing, but by significantly delaying the hair loss process). Now, should you use foam or liquid. Well, for me the answer is very simple, but some people are not going to like to hear it. Since I started using Rogaine early in my hair loss, I still have a lot of hair, so when I have used foam I wasted a lot of Rogaine that didn't get to scalp but was stuck in the hair. That is not going to help me, or anybody else. It has to get to the scalp. That is why I love the liquid form. Foam is for those who, unfortunately, waited too long. The only way foam gets to your scalp is if there is no hair, or very little hair, in its way. That explains why these people also claim that the liquid form drips down their face, because they don't have enough hair to stop it. My only suggestion for "foam people" is that if they have areas with lots of hair, don't neglect them, apply some Rogaine on them [making sure it gets to the scalp], its the best way to assure you are going to keep those areas... and maybe regrow from there, who knows... That's it. I have used it for more than a decade and it has helped me tremendously. Although, like you, I can't wait for science to produce the definitive solution in the near future. Until then, good luck to us all!

Working well for me
I’ve been applying this twice daily for 4 months now and the results have been awesome. I also use this on my hair line and have noticed my hair thicker there as well (sorry, no pics). I started using Nioxin shampoo/conditioner (1) around the same time so it seems like the combination is working!
