I couldn't be more happy with this purchase!

This is seriously the best purchase I've made this year! It fits every single one of our Melissa and Doug puzzles and two Hape brand puzzles sitting on top. I have a total of 3 M&D knob puzzles, 1 extra large M&D chunky puzzle. 3 M&D small peg puzzles. 3 M&D chunky puzzles and 2 small Hape brand puzzles sitting on top. That's 12 puzzles all neat and organized! For a person with a slight case of OCD when it comes to organization, this is great.

So glad I ignored the other reviews and read about the measurements

I love this puzzle rack! So glad the negative reviews didn't deter me. I already had 2 large puzzles (M&D) brand with knobs (a farm scene, and fruits) - they both fit at the bottom and take 2 slots. Then I bought Melissa and Doug wooden jig-saw puzzles. The 12-piece jig saws fit on the top (enough room to hold 6, but you could double stack the jig-saws and hold 12 on the top). The 24-piece and 48-piece jig-saws fit on the bottom racks. Since my large wooden knob puzzles took two rack spaces (to accommodate the knobs - see my photo), I double stacked 2 of the 24-piece jig-saws on one rack, and 2 of the 48 pieces on the other remaining rack. All together this is holding 11 puzzles and I still have the very top rack open. If you have the large wooden knob puzzles, this would only hold 4 of them. I'm glad we graduated to jig-saws because my almost 2 year old has already mastered the large knob puzzles and this set will keep her growing and learning for at least another 4 years.

My organization loving heart loves this puzzle rack!

I’m really glad that we got the deluxe version so that we can also store the jumbo knob puzzles. We store our puzzles inside of one cube of our Ikea Kallax cube and it works great (see photo). We use this puzzle rack to store a variety... we have a M & D jumbo knob puzzle, a chunky puzzle, a few peg puzzles, and even one small puzzle from the Dollar Spot at Target. I would recommend this product!

Simple solution, a lot of rewards

When it comes to Melissa and Doug, I truly live vicariously through my kids!!! I absolutely love most of what they make. But when they address my OCD it's just that much better. I used to keep all my kids' puzzles in an Amazon box underneath a table. I got this rack in hopes that it would keep the puzzles organized and give each more play time and I got a whole lot more than I bargained for. My kids can pick and choose which puzzle they want to use without taking every single one out because they can see each one. Also, the pieces stay together!!! OMG no more searching the bottom of the box through many loose pieces just to fish out 8!!! It fits the big ones, the small ones, even the chunky pieces ones. The rack even leaves room for other smaller puzzles, the kind you get at the dollar store. Here's the best part: the kids file the puzzle back in the rack!!! This has helped them (and me) tremendously during "clean up" time (not to mention motor skills and my OCD). They are getting a better sense of responsibility and the puzzles are beautifully displayed, every time! If you have toddlers and they have puzzles, you needs this in your life!!

This puzzle rack is perfect for my daughters chunky puzzle collection

This puzzle rack is perfect for my daughters chunky puzzle collection! It holds several puzzles. It's sturdy and level which is nice bc it doesn't rock or wobble back and forth. It's a thoughtful design also. This rack holds the puzzles horizontally keeping puzzle pieces stay in their place so you don't lose them. I mention this because I have seen vertically designed puzzle organizers that remind me of baking pan organizers and my first thought was, "the puzzle pieces would all get lost." I love Melissa and Doug products. As always, I expect this M&D product to last for years to come.

Wonderful for Melissa & Doug Chunky puzzles

This was perfect for my 10 Melissa & Doug chunky puzzles. I don't think that my 20-month-old son can get them out once I've put them in the storage rack but that's okay, I can help him. And now we don't have them scattered all around the house. It does fit puzzles like Melissa and Doug 3730 Shapes Wooden Chunky Puzzle, 8 Pieces for which Amazon says the product measurements are 9 x 12 x 1 inches. It even also fits the JUMBO puzzles like Melissa & Doug Jumbo Numbers Wooden Chunky Puzzle (20 pcs) on the bottom rungs! My friend admired it so much she bought one for herself.

Finally!

Finally! My son's puzzle boards are not lined up on the walls! This puzzle stacker is a genius idea! We don't knock over the pieces, we don't lose pieces, our house doesn't look cluttered. Why didn't I purchase this earlier??? This fits big and small boards... we didn't have a puzzle board that didn't fit! (We have all Melissa and Doug puzzles)

Works better than expected and reviewed; Satisfied

After reading the reviews, I was very skeptical about this storage rack and was not sure if it would work. We had a puzzles coming for their birthday and I needed something to store them on. After receiving it and filling it, I am extremely happy with it. We have completely filled the rack and it is working great so far. The majority of the puzzles are Melissa and Doug small peg puzzles. We also have a raised block puzzle and that fits as well (see in photo). The only downside for us is that the majority of our puzzles are small and this rack is for 6 small and 6 large puzzles. The small puzzles still fit. There is just no metal siding keeping it secure on the shelf. I am just careful pushing them in. It stores perfectly fine. My 2 year old has no issues taking the puzzles off and I help her put them back on. She just turned 2 and does not have the motor skills to do that action yet. If we do get bigger puzzles or more, I would be more than willing to by another rack for storage. It is working exactly as I hoped it would. I wish they would come out with a rack just like this, but for only small puzzles to fit in.

Perfect for us!

Just what we needed! Love that it holds both sizes of puzzles. We only have 1 non-M&D puzzle so this was the perfect choice. The chunky puzzles fit a little tight so I was worried about my toddlers pulling the whole rack out when they tried to take one out. Fortunately, the back feet of the rack ended up slipping behind the shelf just enough to provide enough resistance so the whole rack doesn't get pulled off. Only downfall is that you are limited to 6 large and 6 small puzzles. We have 7 small and 2 large so I will have to find a way to be able to put the small puzzles in the large puzzle spots and not have them fall out.

Sizes of Puzzles that fit in this puzzle rack!!

I was wary of my puzzles fitting in this rack based on the previous reviews, so I gave Melissa and Doug a call, and they gave me this information. The puzzle rack is designed to fit puzzles with these sizes: Small Puzzles: Up to 12x9" Large Puzzles: Up to 18x12" Hope this helps some of you all wondering if this rack will work or not. The puzzles I own do indeed fit perfectly! Obviously chunky puzzles may take up more than one space, but I only have thin puzzles and they fit great! The rack appears to be very sturdy and I regularly pick it up with the puzzles in it and move it around. No bending, breaking, or signs of weakness here! Love this puzzle rack, I am *very* glad that I made the purchase!
