Adorable!

I think I was more excited about this cookie set than my 18 month old was but it is so darn cute. I love the fact that that it has a cookie sheet, an oven mitt, a spatula to get the cookies off the cookie sheet, a knife to cut the cookies apart from the cookie dough container it comes with and removable frosting. The only thing that stinks is that the cookie pan is too big to fit in our KidKraft kitchen. The oven door will not close and it frustrates my children when they are trying to play with it. Overall the concept is really neat. There are a lot of pieces so I know a few will get lost until rooms are torn apart to find all pieces, but this set is one of the most fun food sets we've purchased for our play kitchen.

Long lasting toy for many age groups

I have a 3 yr old and 1 yr old and they both play with this you everyday, which is saying alot for a toy. It's great for sensory use for the 1 yr old because she likes to pull the cookies frosting off and also stick cookies to the tray (connected with velcro). The 3 yr old likes to wear the oven mit and pretend she's cooking in her play kitchen. For the price it is a qaulity long lasting toy that is so cute! Recommend!

My girls love to pretend cook or bake anything

My girls love to pretend cook or bake anything. When my daughter played with this set at her preschool I knew we had to own it. I feel like it really helps develop fine motor skills as it allows you to pretend slice the cookies, and decorate with the icings provided. I'm also happy that the velcro attached is very sturdy and doesn't fray. The cookies come stacked with their icing stacked on top in a cardboard tube. The bottom end is capped in tin, and the top end that you open has a removable plastic lid that pops out. I would recommend helping your kids if they are young like mine and play rough with their toys as the tin end has already popped off. I will have to find some time to glue the end on. The set comes with a baking tray with the corresponding velcro pieces to attach the cookies to. It also comes with the spatula, a slicing knife and an oven mitt. The set overall is so cute and my kids love playing with it. I haven't had one complaint about Melissa and Doug quality, you can't go wrong with this purchase for your little one's bakery.

Great, super quality product

I bought this because my 4 year old son was having difficulty with his c&k sounds. His speech therapist used this as a tool when teaching him and it was so effective I bought him one for home too. Him and my 3 year old love to pretend decorate and feed us. As for the product itself, it's exactly what you would expect from a Melissa and Doug product. The woods doesn't dent easily, the paint stays on even after being thrown and stomped on and the velcro has not come off a single cookie. Would totally buy again.

Well Made and Realistic

I have always loved Melissa & Doug brand items and this item did not disappoint. I first saw the cookie set at my daughters daycare and she was always playing with it when I was coming to pick her up. My daughter (who is three years old) loves this item and plays with it all day long. It is cute to see her using the kitchen mitt and spatula to get the cookies off the cookie sheet. My daughter loves taking the cookies out of the container and placing them on the cookie sheet, she counts the cookies as she does this, so bonus with her practicing her counting. She serves us the cookies and lets us pick which ones we like decorated the most. Playing with this item has actually got her interested in helping me bake for real. Pros: - Cookies are made from thick wood pieces - Cookie bases have velcro so they can stick to cookie sheet so they do not slip off - The Amount of Accessories: Tray which the cookies velcro on, a knife that "cut" the cookies, spatula, oven mitt, and container to hold all the cookies - Can "decorate" the cookie by placing the "icing" on the cookies by velcro - Comes with a container to hold all the cookies - All the items, to include the accessories, in the set seem really durable Cons: - The velcro has already started getting dirty (have had it for only about a month) so I am not sure how long it is going to last - One of the velcro pieces on the cookie sheet started coming off due to my daughter putting them on and taking them off constantly. I used super glue and have not had anymore problems yet, but a little disappointing since I have only had a short amount of time - A lot of pieces (a good/bad thing) and my daughter seems to mess up the house a lot with her cookie set - Bulky: Fortunately I have the space for all her items, but to keep things organized due to the amount/size of the items at time can be hard. Overall, I highly recommend this item. Keeps my daughter entertained for hours at a time and she plays with it everyday. I love that she likes to count the cookies as she is playing with them and that it is getting her interested in helping mommy cook in the kitchen.

Another Awesome Melissa & Doug Toy

This Melissa and Doug Slice and Bake Cookie Set is one of my daughter's absolute favorites. We have had this set for a couple years now and it gets a lot of playtime. The cookies stack together via Velcro and can be "sliced apart" with the included play knife. Once they are sliced apart, the cookies can be placed on the cookie sheet and then, "iced" with the included wooden icing. The icing sticks to the cookies via velcro. We have the kid kraft corner kitchen and the pan of cookies fits perfectly in the oven on this kitchen! In fact, we have two sets!

My Favorite Melissa & Doug Set

So far I have bought 3 of these sets of Melissa 'n Doug Slice and Bake cookies. They are sooooo cool. First you have a cardboard cookie tube that they all fit into. How easy is that for storage. Then you get the plate which has velcro on it that the cookies stay when placed. How cool is that? Then you have frosting and sprinkle topping pieces that you velcro to the cookie. It is sooooo cute. Kids take the cookies out of their oven with the oven mitt you get . They can slice cookies with the play knife and serve with the play server. It's so fun. Plus when the kids walk around to offer you a cookie, the cookies are not all tumbling all over the floor. I love this set....I love this set....I love this set. Nothing compares and It's one of my favorite M & D products. One note: IF you have a play kitchen and want the tray to fit inside the oven, be sure to measure the oven size first so you know it will fit. It does fit most playsets!

I am a pediatric Occupational Therapist and this is my absolute favorite toy. I use it with kids from the age of about 18 months on up. This toy can be played with in many ways to develop fine motor skills, following directions, taking turns, sharing, grip strength, sorting, counting, language development, sequencing, naming, pretend/imaginative play... the list goes on and on. It's durable and easy to sanatize between kids, and is the most requested toy in therapy. It is my go to for any child's birthday party that I attend and each of my nieces and nephews have a set. I love the birthday cake, pizza and fruit as well, but I not as much as I love the cookies.

Who doesn't love cookies?

This was a huge hit for my 18 month old niece! In fact, her 4 year old brother loved it as well. They played for hours with this adorable set, and they are still playing with it 4 months later. You can never go wrong with anything from Doug and Melissa, The pieces are brightly painted,with wonderful shapes and designs and look better than real cookies. Don't worry about your toddler trying to "eat" these pretty cookies-there are smooth edges on everything, and no small pieces! How I wish these cool sets were around when I was a kid! I also enjoyed "playing" with them with my niece and nephew. I am highly satisfied with this play set.
