Y'all. Maybe this is premature, but I am so sold on this Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat. I am NOT a super girly girl, but I do like having my short nails kept looking cute (distracts away from my aging hands...anywho!) and this is my new holy grail top coat. I applied on top of my Orly Bonding Base Coat, followed by my Sundays (product I received from Ipsy) polish, and then once I had applied my last coat of polish to my last finger I started back at the first applied finger with this top coat. I really do believe you have to follow the directions included with the bottle to get the best application and results. (I say this because earlier this week I didn't follow the directions and it didn't work well.) I'm a nurse and I've never been keen on spending money to have someone do my nails, just for it to not last past all the handwashing and alcohol foam sanitizer we use on the regular. Hopefully I can post an update to my review if anything changes. Happy shopping!

8/25: Painted three coats of polish on my fingernails, followed by this top coat while my little one was taking a nap. I knew the risk of her waking up/messing up my nails so I was truly putting this to the test! It dried SO quickly and created a thick barrier similar to gel nails. It has only been 24 hours since painting, so I will keep this updated with how many days it lasts! So far so good with a totally dried finish in no more than 10 minutes! 8/27: Two nails beginning to chip but nothing crazy. 8/31: Began coming off along some edges so I had to peel it because it was driving me insane! 9/8: Still on a few nails but the others peeled off on edges-- led me to peel them off all the way. Still a great product! Definitely recommend! **If this review was helpful for you, please mark as helpful!

This topcoat changed my mani game like you wouldn't believe. I do everything you're supposed to: pure acetone for removal, clean the nail plate with rubbing alcohol, cap the tip, wear gloves while washing dishes etc. I type a lot, crochet, knit, and wear a lot of body/face oils so my polish wears down and chips on the third day, typically. With this topcoat, I can get 5-7 days of wear out of a mani. Not only that, but it dries ALL of the layers of the polish within 10-15 minutes, making a quick mani very much doable. Even though my wear time is not extended very much longer, the dry time makes it so easy to just do things over. I have used it with 5-free Indie polish and cheap stuff you find at the drugstore, in both creme and chunky glitters- no issues with any of them. I will be a customer of this brand as long as the formula stays the same and as long is it is made! Make sure you read the directions thoroughly, however. It must be put on WET or mostly tacky polish in order to bond and harden with it. For touchups on dry I'm going to try the Seche Vive this week and hopefully I'll have a winning combo!

This Seche Top Coat is the best hands down. It gives your nails polish the shiniest look I've ever seen. It does so much more. I use the Seche Base Coat first, then the nail polish and finally the Top Coat. I don't even have to wait for the polish to dry. I put Seche Top Coat right over my WET nail polish. It does not smudge, smear or streak the nail polish. It's amazing!! The Seche Top Coat penetrates down through the nail polish, down to the Seche Bottom Coat and dries every coat in seconds. I HAVE NEVER, EVER HAD A TOP COAT DO THIS BEFORE. It just dries it in a matter of seconds. I will never use anything else. SECHE TOP COAT is truly the most AMAZING PRODUCT I HAVE EVER USED ON MY NAILS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SECHE PRODUCTS!!!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Seche Vite Dry FAST Top Nail Coat!!! I've been a consumer of this product for 8 1/2 years and I LOVE IT!! When I don't want to fool with gel nails I pull out my handy nail polish and my bottle of Seche Vite Fast dry Top Coat and a little time a patients and it works great! It truly is a 'FAST' working polish! The smell is a little harsh but you get use to it and know it's coming! It does get thick quickly the keep is to shake, shake, shake it up as often as you can and buy the bottle of Seche Vite thinner and it's back Brand New! I love this stuff the trick is to put thin layers of polish on your nails and let them dry fully! Then apply a thin coat and make sure to wipe the edges and cuticles of your nails if this gets on your skin that's fine it will come off but so will your color too early! Be careful of flooding of polish on the sides if they are and you apply this then they will peel and chop very easily! So the key is patience! It may be a dry fast but it can't be 100% effective and fix it all! If it smudges it's the way you applied the polish and most likely it's too thick of coats for all of it! If on the go and you need something quick I suggest doing a heavy polish where you only need maybe 1 Coat let it dry fully then apply this and that will last several days if done that countless times! Overall a great product I cannot and will not live without! I've also been a huge fan of the gel finish top coat (not an actual gel you do not need a UV/LED light) but it gives the illusion and it's very nice I've become a big fan of that too! Love love love this stuff!

Best top coat I have ever used! I have bough so many name brand top coats to try to keep a manicure but they all have flaws. I was sick of waking up to sheet prints in my nails from gummy, crap drying polish that I broke down and did some research. All of the nail gurus use this "quick drying top coat". I can't stress this enough; This DOES dry quickly. This IS amazing quality and seals in your manicure like a professional did it! My manicure lasts weeks, sometimes a whole month! And I'm a busy girl! I can finally do house work without stressing about my manicure.

Seche Vite is by far THE BEST top coat I’ve ever used. I manicure my nails at home and use the Seche Vite top coat and Seche Clear base coat with a variety of nail polish brands like Essie, OPI, Orly and even Sally Hansen - all with fabulous, long-lasting results. I used to dedicate about 3 hours every 3 days to maintain my OPI base and top coat manicure, and more time with other brands. I was so frustrated that I bought a UV lamp and started doing gel color to get a longer-lasting manicure. The process destroyed my nails after a few weeks and it was super expensive. Now, I only spend about an hour once a week (give or take a few days) and they always look great! And, it adds a layer of strength to my nails that I’ve only ever gotten from a gel manicure. The Seche Vite top coat is made to work with the Seche Clear base coat - they create a bond with the color in between. I apply a thin coat of the base, wait a few minutes so it is still a bit tacky, then put on 1-2 coats of color. After the color has set, but not dried completely, I apply Seche Vite. The top coat firms up almost immediately so I don’t have to worry about messing it up with light activity, and after 20-30 minutes, I continue with my normal activities. I’ve tried the top coat without the base coat and though it still looks great, I’m convinced the base+top coat combo is the key. My manicures last around 7-10 days, and even come out unscathed after scrubbing a bathroom or digging in the dirt. And, if the color starts to look dull, I apply another top coat to shine it up. It does have a strong odor because it does contain toluene, so make sure you aren’t using these in a tiny, enclosed space. The good thing is, the smell doesn’t linger. Also, as you get down to the lower half of the bottle, it becomes thicker - it’s still usable and I get the same results, but I have purchased the refill size to top it off and maintain the consistency for easier application. I’ve also included a photo of my nails after day 8. You can see a little flaking on the side of my middle and index fingers, and the color (Essie Mojito Madness) is a little dull, but still looks good!

I have been doing my own nails for a long time, and I had always heard nail bloggers talking about their preference for Seche Vite. For whatever reason, I never bought this top coat but I had tried many, many others - gel-like, quick dry, hardening - but I always ended up with smudged or dented nails after sleeping, even if I painted hours before bed. This is a game changer - I'm not great at stopping my day for an hour or two to let my nails dry, and now I don't have to with Seche Vite. I can paint my nails - base coat, color, and top coat - and have my hands in the sink doing dishes in a half hour tops. It's a bit smelly, but dries so fast and gives a serious glossy shine. Be sure to wrap the ends of the nails though, because it will shrink as it dries (Google it if you don't know what I'm talking about - it makes a huge difference). Another tip - apply this in one big drop while your nail color is not totally dry yet - that way it can penetrate to the base coat for maximum adhesion. Be sure to clean the brush off if you get color on it so you don't contaminate the bottle. I have noticed that my manicure will peel off in pieces like gel nails when it starts to come off, but I usually have a good mani for 5-7 days before that happens (and that could be my base coat or improper prep). If you're tired of dented nails, try this! I also bought the Seche Restore to get the most out of this bottle (and my other polishes that I thought were destinted for the garbage!)

I love how quickly this topcoat can dry a tacky-sticky thick layer of color without making it into a total mess. It’s kind of magic, and the first Seche-Thing I tried, but I admit when I tried the instant gel effect, it took over first place. I still use both, I feel like less of this goes a long way in comparison but I love both, and switch between their white base and a nude nail base by Nails Inc depending on what I plan to do with the polish. I always finish with this or the gel-like finish topcoat, the one with the blue bottle instead of clear (though I don’t see why we can’t have both clear, the caps are different colors already, and I enjoy 😉 transparency in my cosmetics, obviously, I think we all do!). It doesn’t even matter what polish you use, this makes it look good. One problem is that if you use too much or more than one coat, it can get too thick and start to peel off in one piece at inconvenient times hah, which is probably why I say a little goes a long way. Otherwise I have always loved the results. One of the nail techs had this topcoat at the salon in The Dominick in lower Manhattan when we went there for a little staycation (usually, we’re stuck on SI so we take weekend stays in Manhattan when the price is good), and I laughed about how I have that brand at home, I recognized the bottle right away. I Definitely recommend the brand, though as far as sellers go, I admit I go with whatever I think is legit and cheaper at that point in time. Prime shipping eligibility helps, of course.

This is the most amazing top coat I have ever used. It completely smoothed out the rough glitter polished, gave my nails a manicure finish and dried very quickly.
