Beautiful glow with adjustable lighting brightness. I cannot sleep without this on. I suffer from PTSD and wake up a lot with anxiety or nightmares. I see the beautiful glow and fall right back to sleep. Very therapeutic. I did not purchase for the medicinal benefits but for help sleeping. Please note that it is very heavy. It has a great base but I put a coaster under it for extra protection from a change of scratching. I know people who have purchased these from big box stores and are not real.

This has been the best purchased I have made for my 9 year old who has suffered from bad allergies. I can't even believe I have been able to take him off of his allergy meds!! I have it in his bedroom. It is Nov and not spring time so I am curious to see what happens in the spring. BTW: I have tried all kinds of things to treat his allergies and this has worked! So grateful I tried this lamp.

I heard about these from someone a few years ago. The idea seemed a little far fetched. After seeing a bit more about them more recently I did some research, and there was a big enough consensus that they actually work. I got the 8-9 in one on sale for only 20 bucks. Very glad I did. I had worries when I purchased it such as, would it be to small, not bright enough, or will I be unhappy if it does nothing and is just a cool light? I decided its coolness/decorative factor was high enough to warrant the purchase at the 20 dollar price. As soon as I got it was was surprised/stunned by its size and weight. The one they sent me was bulging from its box, from the factory as it didn't fit properly because the rock was so big! So I quickly plug it in and was even happier to find out it comes with a Very nice quality dimmer switch. Though I guess my one complaint is it doesn't get bright enough to use as a single light for a dark room, other than a night light. How ever the salt rock is so think I'm not sure it could be much brighter with out having safety issues. However it can be used as a reading light/ambient light for a room. What I did like about it, is that on its lowest setting, it's dim enough to have it on the room you sleep in. Which to me was kind of a must, as I used to always used* to wake up stuffy. After my first full day (24 hrs) with it I most definitely noticed a difference in air quality! I have had not just less stuffy/runny noses, but practically none! It was quite clear the hype was true! I really couldn't be happier! Great price for a great product.

This lamp is stunning, it's heavy and huge. It's for my daughter for Christmas, I know she'll love it! It has a dimmer switch and looks stunning lite!! Totally recommend this product.

At first I was a bit concerned after reading reviews about the dimmer switch (basically a variable resistor) heating up, melting, and causing a fire. My kid bought this Himalayan Pink Salt Lamp for my wife as a Christmas gift because she has been wanting one for a long time. I read up on the fire hazard and noticed that a recall has been placed on this salt lamp. All of the one star rated "fire warning" reviews are from many months or years ago. So I assume that the batch that was sent out has had this dimmer issue fixed. Basically a higher wattage variable resistor is needed to fix this problem. At any rate, we plugged the unit into an electrical outlet, dimmed the light to a very pleasing dim orange color and placed the lamp on a table. The lamp has been turned on 24/7 for a couple of weeks now. The dimmer is cold to the touch and we have experienced no issues whatsoever with the product. We are very pleased with the lamp, its appearance, and the nice pinking-orange dimmable warm glow it casts. If any issues arise I will update this review. So far we are happy with the lamp.

I purchased the 8-9 inch salt lamp for about $19. I didn't really pay much attention to the size as I just picked the cheapest size at the time. But oh my goodness this lamp is much larger than I thought it was going to be. I intended to get a smaller sized salt lamp but this is still very beautiful and of great quality. It is definitely made of real salt and is extremely heavy. I am very impressed with the functionality as well; the dimmer works smoothly, getting bright enough to illuminate a room or dark enough to make the salt slightly glow. It sets a great mood similar to the warm glow of a fireplace without the heat. The lamp was packed with great care and none of it chipped off during the shipping process. I am beyond pleased with the great quality and value of the product and will recommend this brand to others looking for a salt lamp. *note* be mindful that this type of lamp requires care. If it is in a humid environment it needs to be on so that the heat can evaporate the moisture, otherwise it may melt. If you plan not to use it for a while you should cover it up so that moisture cannot get to it.

I bought this for my wife for Christmas, grudgingly, thinking it was trendy nonsense, and it might well be. However, the light it puts out is the most soothing of ANY light I've ever owned. Very glad I picked a dimm-able model, as I've come to believe you REALLY need that feature. It goes from very bright, to super dim, though at times, if it's very dim, it can actually go off after a time. Too bright is anti-romantic, and the dimmer control is the nicest I've owned, and is very gradual, covers all bases. The lamp gets warm, as you'd expect from a small bulb, but does not get hot. I detect no smell, but close up, it seems to have an effect on my nostrils, neither good nor bad that I can tell, but something. We turn it on every night now, before bedtime, and it makes going to bed so much more welcoming. If it breaks I will buy another right away. I followed instructions and let it "burn in for 24 hrs" right off the bat. The air in the back bedroom that it was in seemed cleaner after that whole day. Could be imagination...but whatever the lamp does or doesn't do, it certainly is a lovely, relaxing light. I am posting some pics, although they don't do it justice, it's much better in real life.

I was so happy to see that care was taken when shipping my lamp. The issue with the dial for low glow to high, has been fixed by the company and is no longer an issue. I leave mine on all day, when i'm at home. It has not felt hot or even warm at any time. I have had this one about a month now. Very happy This large about 8.5 inch tall with base (base is about 1 inch tall) the widest part of the salt stone is about 5 inches. A great size for our 17x15 den. Yes .. We licked it :) It was sure salty.. But not crumbly..I guess if you scrapped it with a knife you will get some salt granules off.. But Why? My husband even likes to turn it on when he gets up (very early!) in the mornings. And the ionizing energy was so helpful when we did some demo work in another part of the house. It helped to trap the larger dust particles so I did not have Any allergy issues, which is so Amazing for me!

I am a light sleeper when it comes to light sources. Before we switched to blackout curtains, when cars drove down our street, their headlights would wake me up. We have a ceiling fan with a three step dimmer and the dimmest setting will eventually wake me up. This lamp, at least when dimmed, does not. I'm not sure what it is about the orange light, but it doesn't wake me up or keep me from falling asleep. I can't really speak to the health benefit claims as I am fortunate to not suffer from what it claims to address. The best part is that it works as a great night light for our daughter. Ever since she claimed it, I've been using the dimmer to reduce the amount of light she's getting and using it to ween her off of her fear of the dark. So far, it's been going great and hopefully she will be sleeping in almost complete darkness soon. It is definitely heavy and will cause some damage if it drops on your foot. If you're going to sue it in your kid's room, make sure you secure it in some way or put it across the room where it can't be accidentally knocked over.
