This is nice vent cover. It is made from thick shiny plastic and looks like it will hold up well over time. Please note it is just the top cap. It is designed to be attached to the existing base on the roof of your RV. All you need to install this is a cordless drill and 3/16" bit, a phillips screwdriver bit and a tape measure. The top has dimples with "D" and "N" markings for Dometic and Norcold. The installation is simple: Remove the screws holding the old vent cap on, measure the distance between holes on the base and match them to the dimples in the new cap, drill 3/16" holes through the correct dimples, and finally, screw the new cap in place with the new screws that are provided. There are a couple of brackets included that give you more mounting options if the dimple marks won't work.

This is a DIY job. Comes with all the screws you need. Very easy to install. You will need 3/16” bit (and screw gun) Phillips head, tape measure, putty knife to remove the old dicor and some new dicor to finish up the job. Took longer for me to get the tools on the roof than to do the job. Sure beats the dry rotted, broken and cracked one that was on there.

This cover was much heavier than the original. Took less than 20 minutes to install. Would recommend for any replacement for the Dometic Refrigerator. Mine had the 4 1/4" hole spacing and after drilling a 3/16" hole in all the D dimples it fit perfectly.

The fridge cover on my 20 + year old camper was disintegrating. The replacement fit my dometic fridge just fine. It was easy to install and even more aerodynamic than the original.

I bought these from a 3rd party vendor off Amazon and was skeptical about its fit and function. I had more of a problem getting the old broken vent cover off the base. This new cover went on in about 15 minutes (8 minutes was digging out old lap sealant putty). Its fits Dometic perfectly, however if you use Norcold you will need to use the supplied brackets. It feels like flimsy plastic and if you beat on it with a hammer it will probably break, but overall it is molded well. At $18 its worth it

We had to replace several leaking vents in a used rv we purchased. Camco is generally our first check point on products. This product fit perfectly and was super easy to install. I am NOT mechanically inclined or mrs. Fix it but I was able to put this in and no leaks after!

Fit perfectly, easily installed... thought it would be more of a problem but was pleasantly surprised at the easy installation.. looks great.. Manufacturer should realize however that some trailers mount sideways across the back so rounded edge cannot face forward....

Better than oem originals! This is the second rv I have installed one of these on. They have dimples to drill out for the 2 most common mounting patterns. Good quality thick plastic, thicker than the original! Would recommend to anyone looking for a good quality and reasonably priced fridge vent!

This replacement vent cover for my Forest River Wildcat Maxx worked perfectly. The fridge is a Dometic. The vent comes with a doodad that I had to use because the spacing of the screws was different. The instructions were spot on in describing the situation I faced and all I had to do was screw down the doodad as instructed, drill the holes in the vent at the dimples marked with a "D" and then attach the vent to the doodad. Fairly easy process. The vent is of good quality and quite sturdy. Because of the ease of attaching it and because of quality of the vent cover I give it a 5.

My factory 2005 vent cover had become sun damaged. Due to Hurricane Irma, it was blown into about elevinteen pieces. I purchased this and the matching base in case my base was damaged or wouldn't line up with the screws in this cover. Luckily all I needed was this cover. I really wish that in the description somewhere, it would list the mounting screw spacing. If I had that information, I wouldn't have needed to purchase the base. I have a spare now, and it wasn't expensive.
