My favorite orange bitter on the market today. The original Angostura, while a classic, and perfectly functional, doesn't have me raving - there are other aromatic bitters I like more - however, these orange bitters are TO DIE FOR, and easily out class any other orange bitter I have tried.
I bought this to try for making an Old Fashioned. I will say it does not disappoint. I had one at a restaurant and they said they used orange bitters instead which gave me the idea. Works fantastically with Makers or any other bourbon I'm sure. If you're into Old Fashioned's and want a slight twist without diluting with chunks of fruit etc, try this!
I have never seen this item in stores, and I love to use bitters for certain bar drinks and soups. So I bought a bottle of this Orange Bitters. Wow... it made a difference in my Old Fashioned drink... like it much better than the original Bitters! The shipment arrived in timely and good condition. I'm very happy with this item and will definitely purchase again!!
Very impressive. I had high expectations and this met them easily. Angostura knows their craft! A wonderful addition to gin martinis, and it even brings out addition depth in some whiskey cocktails such as the Kentucky Colonel and Manhattan. I love "home mixology", and this will forever be a must have for me.
These orange bitters are an essential ingredient in making the perfect Old Fashioned. I had the best old fashioned of my life at Drink in Boston. The bartender was nice enough to give me the recipe: Old fashioned Sugar cube unbleached Orange bitters 2 dashes Angostura Bitters 2 dash -muddle- add 1/4 oz of water to create simple syrup Old Overholt rye whiskey 3 oz -stir- Orange rim rub on glass 1 large cube (or sphere) of ice

Use it in my Old Fashions and is a substitute for a fresh orange Rhine.
