Safe buy at a good price

I needed this to keep my academy boots clean and looking good so I didn't get ripped a new one, and it's held up well so far. Cheaper as a package than you can get all the pieces for individually. Pros: has pretty much everything you need, but you should also get additional cotton rags to buff with. Price is also reasonable. Cons: included rag is fairly cheap and will start falling apart eventually. Brushes aren't exactly what I would call quality, you will want to upgrade eventually (at least the large brush).

Great Shine and Polish Kit

This Kiwi polish kit comes with two tins of kiwi black/noir polish, horse hair applicator brush, horse hair polishing brush, and a cloth. The brushes will shed a few hairs before you first use them so i recommend brushing them along your hand a few times outside to get the stray bristles to fall out. Some others have noted that the brushes are course, they may seem so at first, but after a few polishes they soften up quite nicely. The cloth that comes with the kit is better described as a rag which you can use to apply the polish in hard to reach places instead of the applicator brush, I wouldn't use it as a buffing cloth because it leaves a lot of fuzz behind and makes a bit of a mess, you might be better off using an old t-shirt or actual buffing cloth instead. Otherwise this is a great starter kit to put some shine back into your shoes. the bag is a nice addition, giving you a place to store all of your polishing items. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who regularly wears leather shoes and is looking for a simple kit to take care of them.

Happy Husband

Bought this for my husband's combat boots, its the same kit he has gotten from the base. He likes his boots to shine all the time and this does the trick. The shine holds up well. He does a quick buff up daily and a full shine once a week. Happy hubby, happy wife! Recommend this kit, works great! Nice little vinyl zipper bag keeps everything togeather and keeps the polish off other things. Good price to boot. Delivery was fast.

Shine all the things!

I finally decided to stop being a lazy and buy a shine kit for my boots. This kit is perfect with all the necessary tools needed to shine your footwear or whatever may need shining and it comes in a plastic container to hold all the items. I followed the instructions by putting one layer of polish with the smaller brush and then buffing it with the larger brush. I ended up with two coats of shine/polish on my boots. The pictures are the before/after with one boot shined with one coat. And then both boots with two coats. 10/10 would recommend this product 100%.

Good starter set as long as you'll use black polish

If you need black polish might as well start with this set. It includes both brushes you need, and some black polish to boot (GET IT, IT'S A PUN). I bought this along with individual applicator/polish brushes and brown polish - the brushes in this set are exactly the same as the individual ones you can buy. Overall though no complaints.

Shining Kit

KIWI is my favorite brand for shoe care items. From shining actual military boots to polishing my dress shoes, I haven't found a better quality shoe shine. This pack is extremely useful for those who are new to polishing shoes themselves since it comes with everything a beginner really needs to learn. The first kit I ever bought actually came with two different color polishes but only one dauber and I found out the hard way that you shouldn't try using the same dauber for two different colors if you don't want to turn brown shoes black! Remember that these are new horsehair bushes, so you may lose a few hairs the first time you use the dauber.

Awesome

Awesome kit and a must buy for any man who wants his shoes to look their best. The kit comes with a small brush to apply the polish, 1 large brush for polishing, a soft cloth for that little bit of extra shine, 2 cans of shoe polish and a zipper bag. I took out my oxfords and went to work polishing each one 3 times and letting it to dry in-between. You will not have to do it as many times as I did if you regularly polish your shoes. The water resistance definitely works; I fell under a downpour and in a bunch of puddles, yet the inside of my shoes were dry as ever.

Good set for first timers, heck just a good set.

A perfect set for the average-joe who wants to keep his black shoes looking sharp. Follow the directions and watch a quick tutorial online. After watching how it's done I was pleasantly surprised with my results. I will continue to use this.

Perfect for my needs

This kit is exactly what I needed to get started. Is it a pro kit? No. Of course not. But it also doesn't have a pro kit price. What I needed was a kit that let me get back into polishing my boots and shoes with minimal hassle. This kit fit the bill and the price. I forgot how enjoyable polishing shoes and boots could be on a beautiful afternoon. The bag: Works just fine. Holds what you need it to hold. Is it super high end? No. But its not crap, it works just fine. The Dauber: Works great. Sheds the first couple times you use it. After using it a few times it stiffens up. I don't expect it to last forever, but I will enjoy using it until it has be replaced. I estimate it will last a 6 months to a year. The Brush: Also works great. No quality issues. Only a bit of shedding the first time you use it. Looks like it should last a long time. Its not huge, but I think it is a perfect size for dress shoes and boots. The cloth: unneeded, but a nice touch. I use it to wipe dust and such off my shoes before I start polishing. The 2 cans of black polish: Small but work great. I polished about 8 pairs of shoes with one can. If you are looking to get started - get this kit. It has everything you need. If you are a longtime pro looking for higher quality stuff...then buy higher quality stuff at realistic prices.

Worth every penny

Took 20 minutes to put on 2 coats and bring my pair of 20 year old boots back to "like-new" condition. Great stuff. It helped to heat it up before applying. The brushes are great.
