Replaced an old three handle set in our guest bath with the single handled Delta valve. The plastic frame helps align the valve body with the face of the tile for a clean installation. Delta offers a good selection of handles to match with the other hardware in the bathroom. Will be nice not to replace shower valve washers anymore.

Very easy to install. I just wish the inlets had 90 degree option for fewer connections. The instructions were pretty straight forward. I chose to use sharkbite connectors instead of soldering, I felt much more confident doing the installation. The plastic plaster guard on the front is cheap feeling and kept falling of as I was working.

I am a remodeling contractor and we usually recommend Delta or Moen because of the variety of trims and the availabity of repair parts down the road, when the time comes. This Delta valve body comes with screw stops so the hot and cold can be shut off at the valve. No need to shut of the whole house if the valve needs to be replaced. This valve body accepts several different valves too. The valve body and coordinating trim kit dictates the functions. Cheaper models are temperature control only, full flow. Better models have dual control, temperature and volume of flow so be sure to read the specs. FYI most tub/shower valves at big box stores ONLY offer temperature control with no volume control and no screw stops which is why we don't let customers purchase their own plumbing fixtures.

The. R10000 series rough in valves are pretty much all the same so shop for price. The difference is the code after the model number. Some are shower only some are high flow and some are made with shut off stops built in. Do an internet search for delta shower valve codes and learn what the codes stand for and if they will work for your installation. The valves allow you to install and pressure test without needing a cartridge or finished handle. It's perfect if you have not decided on a finished look. You are committed to Delta but they have a huge variety of looks and styles in good quality merchandise. Water valves inside a wall are not a place to save a few dollars.

I have installed three of these things in my house and they work great. They're very easy to install and the instructions are very easy to follow. The only tricky part is making sure it sticks out of the wall at the correct distance. If you just remember to keep the black plastic flush with the finished wall, you're golden. I haven't had any issues so far.

Replaced an old Moen Chateau shower valve that had no temperature anti scald feature. Every time we used water anywhere in the house you’d burn or freeze the person in the shower. So far I love it! It was easy to cut out the old valve and install this one in its place with (3) 1/2 Sharkbite fittings. Fit perfectly in our 2x4 deep wall with a 2x4 on back to secure. I also purchased a Delta Trim kit and it included the cartridge.

Great so far! Went to a plumbing place near my house and they tried to charge me over $60 for the same product. That's when I came home and bought this on Amazon. I had to redo the plumbing going to my bathroom due to clogged pipes. Cut in some access behind my bathroom wall and ripped out the old rusty piping (and badly clogged old valve) and replaced it with this guy. I am working with an old house and I did not want to do any new tiling so in order to get the right depth I fabricated a mounting bracket out of angle aluminum and guesstimated the proper depth for seating it. Worked perfectly! Now it has Pex running to it with nicely threaded sharkbite fittings so I can disconnect it easily in the future. Highly recommend going with Pex if you are doing a renovation.

Great product. Just make double sure you install it with "UP" at the top otherwise you get water out of spout and shower head no matter what you do! I had to cut out drywall and reverse it then patch the drywall because I failed to verify "UP" even though I knew it has to be installed correctly for the diverter to work properly. Also, pay attention to warning to not use Pex plastic pipe for piping to spout or shower head due to it's reduced inside diameter and potential to not divert water to spout or shower head correctly. Finall, pay attention ro required min/max distance from valve body to spout or you will also have problems. I've used delta bath/shower valve bodies in my home and rentals for years with no issue and easy maintenance. Great product if installed correctly.

Very well built and solid. very easy to put in. the valve or as they call it the "cartridge" does not come with this, you have to buy the cartridge and trim kit separate. this came with stops (the screws on each side) for the hot and cold water supplies so that you can turn them off when working on the cartridge, the cartridge is easy to install as you just slip it in with the HOT mark on the left and then tighten the chrome ring by hand. the only problem we had was that when the water was all the way on hot it was just lukewarm! this was with the Delta Faucet RP46074 MultiChoice Cartridge that is Single-function pressure-balance temperature control only. i knew it was getting hot water all the way to the valve as i could have the cartridge out and slowly open the hot screw stop and hot water would come out. after a little research it seems that there is a temperature limit stop which is set to lukewarm. it was a very easy fix to set it hotter, you just have to remove the handle. there is a video oon the delta website on how to this. once adjusted 2 stops from max hot we now have nice hot showers. first photo shows valve body installed, 2nd photo shows inside of valve

I installed two of these in new showers. I am happy with them. Two different professionals told me to use Delta behind the walls. I could always get parts for them and they go on a 2x4 against the sheet rock. I soldered them in. It is best to solder the pieces of copper that go diectly into the valve first with the valve laying flat on a table or floor so no solder flows down and block the water opening. I learned this by watching a professional plumber describe how scolding the valve in place caused a problem for him once. I then mounted the valves and soldered the connecting copper pipes on the left and right sides. Water flowed with no restrictions and no leaks.
