Exceeded my expectations

Ordered this item as our old one of 5 years finally went out. I was really skeptical since we use our scales quite heavily but this one is holding up great and the price was awesome.

Great scale

Best features I no longer can do without: -Plug in OR battery! Perfect when taking it to the storage space to weigh a bunch of items being listed. At home I just leave it plugged in in the (ahem) "shipping department". -No more bending down, peeking under the larger packages to see the weight! I love the separate readout screen. The cord could be a little longer because the coil makes it so that it shifts around if placed more than a couple of feet above the scale. Some Velcro squares fixed that. All in all, perfect for the medium volume shipper up to 300 lbs., portable, reliable, just perfect.

Great and affordable.

This really helps out when Im needing to weight stuff for my business! It is small enough that it does not take up much room, but big enough for large packages. I haven't had the chance to weigh anything over 300 pounds but I did have a couple packages that were around 260 lbs and it weighed it perfectly. I love that the small box to see the pounds is removable for those large packages.

Works great so far

Works great so far. The calibration seems to be pretty close to what UPS and the USPS says, so good enough for me. It's a little cheep in materials, but exactly in line with what to expect for the money. Easy to use and figure out. I do wish they had made the cord detachable from the scale for easier storage and/or extension of the cord. I haven't need the cord to be longer, but they could have used a common phone/ethernet connector and then it would be easier to break down and people could add extensions if they needed to.

Works great for postage and anything else under the max weight ...

Works great for postage and anything else under the max weight limit. Used it for shipping ebay items and and even a personal weight scale. 3/4 thru 275 pounds and extremely accurate thru the range I have tested. The shipping items were compared with two different postal scales and was right on the money. My personal weight was checked with a recently calibrated scale at the gym I go to and the high end is on the money too. Have only had trouble with items less than 8 ounces, not too accurate there. All things considered, a great buy for the money!

Great scale for larger/heavier objects

I got this scale and can fit 1'x'1' on the diagonals. The only problem was how freely the readout swung from it. It was kind of bulky. I wish there was a "Slot" to somehow slide the readout on and off of it easily. Works well and is accurate. A little bubbling on the readout.

Reliable if not abused.

The identical unit that this replaces served me well for over 5 years. That's why I bought another one of exactly the same kind. Like any precision instrument, you need to take care not to *DROP* your packages on it; that can damage the strain gauge that actually does the weight measurement.

We use this scale to weigh boxes to ship out. It's given us accurate readings. We have the digital scale on the wall so we don't need to stoop down to read the weight. We ship a lot of large boxes that covers up the whole scale bed so we can't use the ones where the screen is on the scale itself.

So I lost 5 lbs...

Excellent quality scale with an exceptionally large upper weight limit for mailing regular packages, people, or bulk items. The independent read out is great for people who are so well endowed they cannot look straight down at a regular scale. It's also very useful for 1 person to do the actual weighing while another views the read outs and records the weights. Very happy with my purchase and will look to WeighMax in the future for similar needs.

Consistantly Accurate

While this is not the most rugged scale out there, I've been using it for several months now and it has worked flawlessly. It is very accurate and consistent. I've even started using it as our personal family scale since it is more accurate than the personal scale we were previously using. Great for weighing FBA and other shipments plus general use as well. We even weighed our cats (time for a diet Kitty).
