As I was assembling the unit everything seemed fine until I realized I was missing a whole shelf. The unit is suppose to have 9 horizontal shelf dividers but mine only had 8 which only allowed for 27 slots. I was able to use one of the shelves as a stencil and cut out another shelf out of the shipping box but obviously the colors don't match. $40+ for a bunch of cardboard is not worth paying the extra shipping to return it. I would give this 5 stars if Pacon Corp. could send out another self and if the unit were a little cheaper. Update: Pacon sent out a replacement self directly to my house at no extra charge! It's nice to see a company being so responsive.

I'm a freelance Graphic Designer who works out of a home office. I bought two of these shelf systems a year ago to organize my paper collection. LOVE THEM. They arrived flat, were simple to put together, and are still very sturdy even after a year of use. I keep them right on my desk. One has 8 reams of cardstock and the other has 6 reams of paper. The other slots are filled with packages of Avery labels, sample paper packs, transparencies, half packs, etc. Paper-sized stuff, you get it. My only criticism is the price. This is cardboard! You assemble it yourself. Nothing about this should cost more than ten dollars. I bought a 6-shelf unit at a local store during back-to-school season that cost only six dollars! So it's overpriced, yes, but worth it to solve my organization problem.

First off, this is made of cardboard and if you go into it knowing that, I don't think you will be disappointed. I use these for two purposes: 1) to sort my work for students by day. (I.e all the worksheets for Monday in one slot etc.) 2) for cubbies to go along with my wooden cubbies. I had a larger class this year and needed something affordable. I am a kindergarten teacher and haven't had any problems. I put about 150 pages in a slot without any problems. Students put their homework folders in and they fit perfect. Assembly was easy for me. I didn't even have to look at the instructions to figure it out and it took about 5 minutes to put together. I have bought 3 and plan on buying one more. Would definitely recommend.

I purchased this cubby and the drawers from the same company and I honestly couldn't be happier! I like this storage solution better than the many plastic bins and drawers I've tried for finding a convenient storage system for my felt and tissue paper and other "flat" crafting supplies. The color is very accurate to the online picture and even though it's made of cardboard with a little care during assembly, you'll have a sturdy, nice looking cubby! When you take it out of the box, assembly might seem a bit daunting but the directions are very well written and easy to follow! I think I'll probably paint mine or cover it in fabric or pretty paper since it's going in my craft area and I already have a color scheme/theme going on in there but I look forward to doing this and giving it more personality than any plastic storage container could have! I'm using the drawers from the same company that fit this cubby, so you may have a bit more space if you forego the drawers but I can easily fit pre-cut felt and tissue paper in there and "regular" 8.5x11 paper too. I would highly recommend this little unit to anyone looking for a cost-effective organizer.

Perfect! Exactly what I needed to store daily morning work folders, journals, and take home folders for my entire class. Each student has their own space, I can glance through the slots and see any missing folders or math journals without having to flip through them one at a time. I labeled and use the bottom three slots for "lined paper," "blank paper," and "graph paper" and keep a small stack of each handy for those students who may not have what they need. This is made of cardboard so storing anything on top of this unit is not a good idea. I had originally place a small box of calculators on it but saw that even that small amount of weight was making it sag. It was super easy to assemble and looks great on top of the laptop cart in our room. Students can pick up all they need for the day in one station.

I bought this to use in my classroom as a cell phone holder for my students during class and it works great for this purpose! I absolutely love it. It's exactly as pictured and very sturdy, and I put numbers on each label so the students have their own slots. Very spacious but It also does not take up a lot of room.

Surprisingly sturdy. I'm 65, the directions were pretty easy to follow. (*i did raise 2 engineers). Very pleased! Will probably order a second set.

I have been using this in my Kindergarten classroom for the first quarter. It looks just like when I purchased it. The kids store their take home folder and high frequency word folders in it and I put their work to go home. It has helped us to keep papers and materials organized. I was concerned about the reviews but this is not meant for textbooks. Glad I decided to take the risk and get it!

This was easy to put together and I was surprised how stable it was for cardboard. We use it in an office cabinet to hold forms. There is a lot of weight when you put 150 plus forms in each compartment. I am very pleased.

I posted a photo so you can see that I have the mailbox loaded with some heavy 11x17 regular and photo paper and I also have a keyboard box on top. I put this on a shelf I had made so I'd have extra space underneath for paper that I have more than a ream of, whoever these cubbies would hold a ream of paper. I did insert the tabs incorrectly as the top tab is not there because it is on the bottom, which I just folded under. It didn't matter to me to disassemble and reassemble to have the tabs on top. For those that ask what this is made of, it clearly says "Sturdy corrugated boxes", that means cardboard. It is as study as a cardboard banker box, which in my opinion is very sturdy.
