One of the best cardboard scratching boards I’ve purchased!

The Best So Far for our Persnickity Cat
Our current cat refuses to use any kind of scratching device designed for scratching. (She is fixated on our good wool area rugs, alas.) This ramp style device, however, is the only one she has shown even the slightest interest in. She sniffs at it and touches it with her paw so maybe some day she will actually scratch on it. We are still hopeful. The only negative to the product is that the bottom is hollow which means catnip isn't trapped inside and also it is so lightweight that it moves around too easily. I tried putting a heavy book up against the back inside edge but that made only a slight improvement to its stability. If it were totally enclosed on the bottom, it would be easy to weight it down sufficiently to keep it in place.

Awesome!
Update: I’m purchasing my second cat scratcher now. Cat still loves it. And wore out the first one. It was clear when I first adopted her that she liked to scratch things at an incline so the scratchers that lay flat on the ground did not appeal to her. This scratcher is perfect! ——————————— My adult cat hates everything. It is extremely aggravating spending money on her toys and scratchers only for it to end up in a pile of junk she doesn’t play with. Even if it has catnip on it her interest only lasts about two minutes with most things. I took this out of the box and within a couple minutes of putting it down on the ground she came for it and went completely bananas. She could not stop rubbing her self all over this thing and scratching at it. There was only a little bit of catnip on it but clearly it was enough to make her extremely crazy in a good way. Definitely excited to see her actually enjoying something I bought for her.

TERRIFIC! Durable AND Great Price!
We tried the $21 green colored similar scratching post which APPEARS sturdier. However, I find this one works identically (and I save some $$$)! I have had several of these. The cardboard scratcher can be flipped over for double the use. Our cat is, um, "large boned" and can still stand on it no probs. (After it's kicked by humans too much, you can use packing tape on the "frame" and is as sturdy as ever, btw.) I keep the old one in a 2nd location where our cat does "lighter" scratching. Although he does not play with toys on springs or sticks not dangled by humans as a rule, he DOES continually nuzzle the butterfly ("scenting" it, I believe?) on the older one while waiting for us to give him his treats. So HE even likes it more than others we've tried, lol! The incline does seem to encourage him (he never used the flat ones as much -- even when I mounted one to the wall). Also, we put it butting against a piece of furniture (or you could use a wall) and it stays in place even on carpet under his most vigorous work outs. The cardboard piece is like 2 inches or more thick -- like one of the thicker scratchers you rarely see at the stores in the replacement sections. We don't even need to put the catnip on it for him, btw -- another oddity as with other types I had to catnip them up to try to encourage him. (This one DOES seem to "soak in" some of the catnip scent during transit, I think, as with the last one we got he cuddled up to it and rolled on it and was just thrilled to death!?!) Cats are fussy and finicky about things, but this one is definitely worth a try in your quest as it is a real quality product at a great price!

My cat loves this.
When my cat is excited or happy, she rips through the house and pounces on her scratcher and tears into it. The down side are little pieces of cardboard all around it. The upside is she has never ever scratched anything but this. I keep two on hand, when one gets too torn up I bring the backup out and order another. This one is sturdier than others I've bought, I'll keep coming back to this one.

Cats love it and use it everyday.
Some assembly required but fairly easy to figure out. My cats love this scratcher and use it everyday. It has held up well under the weight and vigorous scratching that my cats inflict upon it. One loves the cat nip which is included and the other cat doesn't respond to it at all. They are fascinated by the little springy toy that you attach. All in all, it's cheap entertainment for the cats and saves my furniture and door frames from their need to sharpen their claws. Great buy for the money.

On our 2nd one, still a favorite!

Kitties love it!!!
My cats love this ramp. One sleeps on it, while the other bats the toy into her head so she'll move. Then they "fight" over who gets to use it next. Easy to put together. It's held up through kitty play time and kitty fights, nap time, and I'm gonna scratch your face off time. Our tuxedo cat weighs about 25lbs and this ramp has held up through her rampant running like a horse through the house and jumping on top of it while the other small cat is playing with the toy. It's sturdy and is holding up after several weeks of playtime with both cats trying to claim their diva status. The only small complaint I have is that it moves relatively easily when placed on wood or tile floors. So to remedy that, we cut some easy grip shelf lining and placed it on the floor, then put the ramp on top of it. It helped keep the ramp in place for the most part. We move the ramp around to different areas of the house to keep the cats happy, when placed on carpet, we didn't really have any issues of it sliding around. Will definitely be purchasing more of these.

Happy cat
My cat will only scratch on posts that are on an incline and I am always finding flat ones or other shapes he will never use. I bought this one and he was in love! When he tore up one side of the cardboard I then flipped it over and he was able to use the other side. I have been meaning to buy a new one and refuse to throw the old one out until I get a new one (or my couches will be torn up!) so I was even able to simply take the cardboard and literally flip directions for a third use!! So easy to set up just fold a few edges and it is done!!
