I have one of these for my pick up and I wanted one for why wife's car. It works great, slides over all the parts of the car that stick up and doesn't get hung up. I've pushed and pulled off 8 plus inches with no problem.

Very helpful tool, but I wish there was a way to prevent the head from turning. Even of it were just a pin through the handle.

I live in Maine where the winters are rugged. Also, I am only 5' 1" tall so getting the snow off the roof of my car can be a real hassle. I LOVE this car plow so much that I am giving everyone in my family one next year for Christmas. It gets the snow off in record time and doesn't scratch the finish.

Actually my second one.... my first one lasted about 6 years.... finally broke last week at the tension nut... served me well. Luckily I can reuse the head and just had to ditch the scraper and pole... head will for a broom handle or extendable painter pole....

My nice husband insists that I park my car in the garage, while his stays outside. I was tired of seeing the poor guy go out and take the longest time in the very early morning, to free his car from the night snow accumulation on his car, before heading out to work, so I bought this scraper for him and it was truly a godsend. He loves the wide 'rake' and the way he can remove the snow in a few swipes, without scratching his car. The attached scraper is an added bonus. I am going to get one of these 'snow plows' for my car too.... just in case.

IF your Vehicle is parked and/or driven in Snow Country this tool is a must ! Easy to use ,safe on the vehicle and it makes your vision clear all around. I use and have sold this tool and others for 20 + years. It makes winter tolerable.

Previously with a standard car snow brush, I'd open a side door, stand on the ledge (I'm 5'10"), then swipe back and forth to clear one corner of the SUV roof, then repeat from the other 3 doors, inevitably resulting in some snow inside the car. Similarly, I'd clear half the snow from the windshield, hood, and the back from one side, then repeat from the other side. Now you're cold, covered in snow from hand to torso, and lamenting the wasted minutes of spiked hot chocolate time. With this ingenious device, you can clear the entire SUV all from one side in seconds. You detach the handle from the head, twist it on, then extend the handle (twist locks secure); whole process takes 3 seconds. The side of the foam head curved away from you is used to push the snow off to the other side, then you spin it halfway to the side curved toward you to pull the snow off. Repeat this a few times (or just stick to the push technique), and the car's ready to go. No discourteous and illegal "snow missiles" anywhere on your car. PROS: + Easy to push/pull snow off the roof & hood very quickly and easily + Head (orange portion) is solid foam to avoid scratching the car paint; bright color makes it easy to locate in the trunk/backseat + Compact: handle bar collapses, detaches, and clips lengthwise to the head + Base of handle has an ice scraper + Sturdy: I've been using my first one for 3 NJ winters CONS: - A brush attachment would be great for wiper well clearing (I just dig it out with the scraper portion or by hand) I've purchased another for the second car, and gifted 3 more to relatives.

Fast delivery, excellent quality and great price. Highly recommend

Had one of these before that lasted many winters. Purchased a different one (Birdrock) and it broke after the third use. Should of stuck with what worked and this is as reliable as they come.

Working for a car dealership has made me familiar with this type of device, but ours all have long wooden poles. The things I love about the Hopkins are the collapsible pole and the clips on the back of the head. This makes for easy storage in the trunk and quick assembly when it's needed. I gave one to my girlfriend who has no garage and goes to work very early. She can clean off her Honda in a few minutes and be on her way while the coffee is still hot in the cupholder. Her neighbor saw her using it and demanded to know where she got it, so I bought another one to give as a gift (pay it forward...). The only warning - never stand the foam end on the ground, as it may pick up bits of grit and cause damage to your paint. Keep it clean and dirt-free and it will never fail you.
