Am I a happy old gal or what...love it...had a big old fry-up with spuds and asparagus and cheese, made me feel quite devilishly bad. I had almost forgotten how good it was to feel that way.

Good quality, 80 mg. sodium per serving. My husband is on a salt-restricted diet for his heart health. When I don't have time to cook a whole chicken or chicken breasts, I use Hormel Chunk Breast of Chicken for a quick stir fry (no soy sauce), chicken salad, chef's salad, chicken soup, and more. I also use it to con one of my cats into taking his thyroid meds. He hates cat food, tuna, cheese -- depending upon his mood that day but he always seems to like chicken. I crush his pill in a glass saucer, add the juice from the can along with a bit of chicken (about a tablespoon total), and watch him devour it. BTW, I've found that 98% of the can is chicken and the rest juice. It lasts about 2 years in the pantry before degrading (tastewise), if then. I will buy it again.

The only place I can buy this in my hometown is that national retail chain. You know the one that always has a full parking lot but only 3 checkout lanes open. When I saw this here for the same price as that retail place, I had to buy it. I enjoy this canned smoked ham for the convenience and the taste. When it's too hot to cook or when I'm in a rush and need something quick, this is a good go-to snack.

I bought this exp3ecting the same unflavorful ham found in other canned products which only tastes good mixed with other foods. I was pleasantly surprised with this ham. It has a nice smoked flavor, and it has large chunks of actual ham, like from a bone-in ham, rather than standard mechanically-separated ham product. It is great mixed in with other food, or straight out of the can.

My husband's need for super-low-sodium foods makes cooking very time consuming and challenging. These are SO handy to have on hand so he can make salads and sandwiches without me having to precook the chicken, only to have it go bad in the fridge if he forgets about it. I wish this were cheaper, but it's definitely a time-saver, so worth the price when I can afford it. Since most chicken in grocery stores has a salt water solution injected into it, it's a challenge to find the no-salt-added chicken, then cook it to have on hand constantly. This really makes my life significantly easier.

I did enjoy this product very much. For one person, it is fresher than trying to deal with turkey cold cuts. I would definitely recommend it to others.

I've been using this ham for many years, mostly for minced ham salad sandwiches. It has been harder to find in the store and I was glad to see this case at a competitive price. When I don't feel like cooking and there is nothing interesting to eat, spotting one of these cans in the cupboard is an quick answer to mealtime. Someone mentioned this ham came from china and almost ruined it for me. I emailed Hormel and asked. They say it is produced in Minnesota. I can't imagine why they wouldn't have "Product of the USA" on the label, but I accepted their answer and am burying my head in the sand on this issue. It is very salty...I sometimes have puffy hands the next day. I just think it is good to have as an ace in the hole.

Really good for canned chicken The Taste is good even without the salt. Good for a low sodium diet and I believe the saturated fat was low as well. If you have to eat meat and your on a low fat low sodium diet this meets the qualifications and it's not boring.

This is actually quite tasty. I have never had Spam, so not sure if it is like that, but I love the small cans. When we want a bit more than just a salad for dinner, I put 1/2 can of this on top of each of our salads with some shredded cheese and it makes it more like a complete dinner. also fun to eat on crackers right out of the can and I made some fantastic ham-stuffed deviled eggs with it too.

If you're wrestling with a low sodium diet this is VERY helpful. Note that it's not "no sodium"...chicken HAS some sodium inherent in it because all meat does. But there's nothing ADDED, so the can itself is very low and easy to incorporate into other dishes or just eat it cold. Well worth tracking this stuff down; you probably won't be able to find it at the stores. Recommended.
