Wonderful product my 11 year old loves it!

I bought this for my 9 year old daughter to use with her drawing tablet. She hasn't used it much yet but I have and I like the ease and the many functions. I think she will really enjoy working with it once she has had time for it. Easy installation.

We purchased this product this product after my 6 y/o son continually wanted to use my graphic design computer programs and would get frustrated after a few minutes of use. The "paint" program on our computer was too simple for him, and he wanted something more like what he uses in school. Voila! This program was everything we were looking for for him. It's perfect for school-aged kids, but I do think younger ones (3-5) would like it, too, with parental assistance. It allows him to free-hand draw in great detail with a variety of media and has a great color palette. He also likes the stamp function and the fact that you can color in the pictures. I like the fact that you can save the images as jpegs and transfer them to other print programs to create cards, posters, t-shirts, etc. with your child's artwork. The only two drawbacks that I have found so far are that the preloaded graphics are somewhat limited. For example, there is a section with "girl" related items but my son was disappointed that there wasn't a section for boys. Also, both the preloaded graphics and the images that your child draws can't be enlarged or shrunk (at least not that I have found yet), and the freehand images can't be copied. Although these are probably more advanced functions, they would have been useful to have. Overall, however, a great product!

This program is fun! Much better than KidPix in every way. Large set of options for each of the 12 tools will keep kids (and grownups) occupied for hours. The 1,000 templates are contemporary. The stamp art is plenty of fun all by itself. A simplified screen makes it suitable for really young kids, say about three, if you feel brave enough to let them near a computer. Overall, this is an extremely well designed program that is much more than a "toy". It is a real paint program, with a really well done user interface that makes it easy for kids to dig in, be creative and have fun. Crayola and Core are to be congratulated on their sensible licensing: you may install this on any number of computers as long as it is used on no more than one at a time. For the price, you simply can't beat Crayola Art Studio. It is great fun and very versatile. Jerry

Crayola Art Studio is an excellent product. I purchased it based upon the reviews I read on Amazon. A qualified practising artist of traditional media I have for some time been exploring the creative process digitally and so am well aquainted with the potential of other such programmes - Painter, Photoshop etc. Crayola Art Studio is just amazing. Offering a wide selction of brushes, and media - acrylic, tempera, watercolour, pencil, felt marker, oil pastel, crayon, spray paint, charcoal and chalk. My six year old has found both the tool box and tool bar easy to understand and utilise. There are a great selection of image Stamps to include in and enhance paintings/drawings. There is an undo facility which when tried out undid fifty steps - though it may do more. My daughter loves this programme. I would recommend to any parent considering buying their child an introduction to the digital world, Crayola Art Studio.

Fun software. Not too hard to use - my just turned 6 yr old can play with it pretty well but only uses about 5% of what it can really do. Very sophisticated if you want to be or just use the simple parts for a younger kid.

I bought this for my 9 year old great nephew. Since I put it on his computer about a year ago he uses it almost everyday. It has made his created edge come out and he loves to sit and create many images. There are many tools and it is easy to use. I highly recommend it. I am a IT professional and this program is user friendly.

My 15 year old artist can't live without these pencils. She has Asperger's and uses these pencils several hours a day. Loves to draw. Good quality product with great selection of colors.

I got this for my son who's 8 and very creative he loves it and when I installed it for him I have to admit I liked playing around in it too!

This is like having an infinite supply of Crayola crayons (and other media). Picked this graphics package up during a recently weekly sale here at Amazon just to check it out – it was priced well below ten dollars so I figured I wouldn't be out much if it was a dud. To my surprise this is actually a nice little drawing package capable of doing things that some of the more expensive package can do. You get a wide variety of brushes, pens, crayons, markers, pencils to draw with and a palette system that gives you any color that you could ever want. There are also tools for drawing geometric shapes and text. Plus, a clip-art library (geared for younger users). There are also some more advanced tools – but you're going to have to dig down through the menu customization setting to find those (like paper textures). My guess they simplified the software package so not to confuse the intended younger users. There is a user manual and activity guide as well as a short video (SWF flash) that demonstrates the basic tools and their locations. I would imagine most kids that can read could figure this software out without parent help – but very young kids will probably need some assistance the first time. You can set up the pages your drawing to be any size you want – there are pre-sets of most of the basic sizes and you can add to those with any custom page sizes you want. I would think that this would be great for coloring some of the digital adult coloring book pages that seem to be the rage right now. Couple technical details that some people might be interested in. I'm using this software on a desktop machine running Windows 7 Pro. I tried this software out with my Wacom Bamboo tablet and it works great. There is a wide variety of image file formats that this software can use (and can save to). Most of the basic file formats are supported. For the price, this is a really impressive package – I like it enough that I went and ordered the full coreFx Creative graphics program. Corefx Creative
