Thread Zapper 100% Must!
I've used this thread burner for about a week now consistently, on multiple bracelets with zero issues. When ready to use, you hold down the side big button, and within 3 seconds max, the tip is red hot ready to use. Immediately when it hits the thread it slices right thru. You are able to get right up close to the very edge of the knot with no hassle and singe off the excess pieces of thread no problem, and the finished product looks amazingly clean!!! So happy with this product! Right after I'm done using it, place the cap back onto it, the top is opened up for ventalation which is great, and in a few minutes, it's completely cooled off. They do sell replacement parts and pieces for it, so down the road incase you wear anything out on it, you're able to fix it up very inepensively. I am so so glad I went ahead and purchased this one after all! It works exactly as stated, and has made my process of making beaded leather corded bracelets so much easier and efficient with this tool, everyone should own one!!

Works Well and No Problems
I bought this thread zapper to seal off the nylon thread when I sew leather. Despite some reviews stating it did not work well, I decided to try it and after a month it is working just fine. I installed a battery I found in my drawer that I know was not brand new, and it is still melting thread. I say it is a good deal for the price.

Excellent tool
Terrific little tool . Much better than the newer thread burner . It is versatile and heats up quickly . Very well made . Second one . Love it ! . Hint: unscrew the battery hatch almost all the way when not using . This saves the battery and keeps the studio “safe” .

Great For Leather Threads
Recommend for all leathercrafters. I used a lighter for a long time. Sometimes, I would scorch my leather a little. One time, I seent a fellow fine leathercrafter burn a small hole in a zipper while burning excess thread after backstitching. You don't have to worry about that with the threadzapper. Buy this contraption and cleanly/accurately burn away that excess thread without fear.

Fly tying essential
I use for finishing my fly tying. Clean up stray material around the eye of the hook. Cut/burns feathers, synthetics, and threads. Have problems with scissors and just can't seem to cut that last bit of material of your fly. This product does the last finishing touches. After or before glueing. Does leave a dark singe though. But a clean collar look way better. Essential tool for my tying table.

Highly recommend to crafters...don't do without it!
I can't believe I did without this as long as I did!! I also wish I had found it before my US Marine son damaged my wood floor using a lighter to fuse the end of his parachute cord survival bracelet that he made himself during his pre-deployment leave for Afghanistan! Using the lighter isn't as accurate and as it melts the cord, the melted cord falls on whatever surface is beneath it...ruining it! This cordless thread zapper is a wonder tool to me! I have complete control over what I burn, where it burn it and how much I burn it. There is no mess, no drips, nothing to get ruined...and nothing to catch on fire as my son came close to doing a couple of times with the lighter! And no burned fingers from a match burning down too low on your fingers! I use this for jewelry, macrame, crochet, knitting, sewing and Kumihimo just to name a few!

Handy multi use gadget for my craft room
This little gadget is really magical! I use mine for the raw ends of ribbon cuts, para cord, and thread tags. Super easy to use and I see I can get replacement philaments when needed. Might get a second one just to have as a backup in my craft room.

Handy crafting tool
I've used this for more then I intended. I bought to do Paracord with, which it burns perfectly. But have also used it to melt a break in plastic to connect back again, as well as a few other things. As with anything, if using it not as recommended by the mfg, then you assume risks associated.

Great tool!
I had always wondered if I would like one. They seemed to be popular with a lot of beaders. I finally gave in and got one. Amazing! I have really sharp scissors but sometimes it was still difficult to get super close to the beadwork when trimming threads. I've cut a piece or two in my time, which is a real pain! This is super quick, you can get really close and it's a neat trim. I would definitely recommend!

Works just as it should
my wife is using this thread burner to heat seal nylon cords for jewelry making. She is very pleased with how quickly it gets up to temperature. She needs more practice to avoid singing light colored cords.
