Purchased this as an Amazon deal. It was a great price so I gave it to my son as a bday gift. I was surprised by the great quality of the product. Two months later and I'm blown away that he's still playing with this daily. He said it was his favorite gift! Who knew?!👍🏼

Great set for the price

A fun backboard/rim for the price. Foam backing all around the board and the hooks helps protect the door or whatever you hang it on. The rim is metal and mounted with springs. The net is sturdy and hooks onto 10 or 12 hooks on the rim. The worst aspect of the set is the ball--quite heavy and hard. Super loud in the house.

The best and the worse gift I could have ever bought

The best and the worse gift I could have ever bought! My son loves it and has been playing with it ever since he got it. We hooked it to his bedroom door. You should be asking yourself why did I say the worse gift if he loves it so much? Simple, because the only thing I hear in my house ever since we bought this is the bang bang bang bang noise of the ball against the floor and the door since he has not stopped playing! This is well made. The backboard and hoop are solidly built. We use it on our trampoline. Much cheaper than the big gaughty pricey hoops "made for trampolines".

A perfect gift!

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. He had specifically asked for it; we don't have kids yet, so I knew he wanted it for himself to play with, and I totally gave in. Surprisingly, I love it too! He played with it for almost 20 minutes before I gave in and started playing also; he was having so much fun, I had to join. The hoop has two wide hooks to hang over a door, but they're thin enough to close the door without creating any scuffs against the door frame. It's easy to put on the door and remove without creating any damage. In terms of height, I'm 5'8, so once it was hanging on the door, the rim was right above my head with the net coming down to eye-level. If you have people/kids who aren't at a height which allows them to dunk the basketball, then you won't deal with much noise. If you have a childish, spirited husband like mine who wants to dunk the ball constantly or chuck the ball with all his might, then the backboard will bounce and reverberate against the door VERY loudly. The backboard has a black cover along the bottom of the board (which you see in the product photos), and that prevents any damage to the door caused by overzealous shooters. The ball is a perfect size; with a lot of these types of products, the ball is always really small, but this one is large enough where you have to use your whole hand to hold it (and my German Shepherd couldn't get his mouth around it to run off with.) It doesn't have much bounce to it, so you won't have to chase after it much after each shot. We both love this product, and I can't recommend it enough for both kids and adults with the playful attitude of a child.

Absolutely fantastic! I would definitely recommend the xl version, and get some of the sklz foam balls while you're at it. The rubber ball that comes with this is heavy, it's just like a real basketball and could do some serious damage to your house. The backboard can bend pretty easily, it's not thick enough that it stays straight. I wouldn't let your kids slam dunk much or it could break, as the backboard will bend when the rim is pulled down. Overall this is a fantastic present for my son. My wife loves to play basketball with him, it's a quality item that will last for years and years if you don't treat it like it's something to hang on. If you just want this to take shots with, you won't be disappointed. It won't damage the door, and if you put it on the correct side of the door then it will fit perfectly every time. People complaining it doesn't work with their door, are putting it on the wrong side, you geniuses.

Good quality, I love this hoop!

I love this mini basketball hoop! I bought it for myself 3 years ago for my College freshman dorm room and it was great! Everyone loved this thing! The plastic has taken a beating but still looks brand new! Even after many of my friends dunked on this thing it still looks great! Its a high quality hoop worth every penny! I'm extremely happy with this purchase! The hoop has a foam backing and can hang on the back of almost every door (I never had a problem with it not fitting) Even after heavy use I never noticed any damage to the door or the hoop, it is extremely durable but you should still be careful because I'm sure if you tried hard enough you could damage the hoop at some point. Overall this is a great product! and I would recommend it to college students looking to add to their dorm room, and to families with kids that love basketball, its a great way to pass the time and spend some quality time with your family too.

Call me the Asian Steph Curry

As an Asian man with a below than average height, this mini basketball hoop has me questioning my career path. Call me the Asian Steph Curry, I bought this back in 2014 and I continue to drain hoops till today. I personally don't hook it over my door firstly because I live in an old house and the door for some reason doesn't close when I hook it up. And playing with the hoop hanging on the door made too much noise for me from the rattling. So I just decided to bolt it on the wall right above my bed. I also don't use the ball that came with the hoop cause its too big and heavy and makes the noise even louder. I had these small white therapy balls and they have been perfect for shooting hoops. I love having competitions and making money bets with my cousins. This is definitely a must buy for anyone who loves basketball and want an upgrade from shooting crumbled paper into a garbage bin.

Awesome Product

Really fun and great present for the kids to play on a cold or rainy day. The best part about it is that it has foam all around it so the are no marks left on the door.

Excellent indoor hoop to keep your basketball passion alive!

As a working professional, I don't get much time to really hoop outdoors. But when I came across this mini basketball hoop I can mount on my wall, I couldn't resist trying it out. I was super excited when I received it, the box contained the Plexiglas backboard, metal hooks with screws to hand over the door, and of course the rubber deflated mini basketball. I hung the backboard with the hooks over my door, but it still made a lot of noise from the impact of the hard basketball against the backboard and the door (despite there being rubber cushion between the backboard and the door). As a solution, and for a better hoop experience, I decided to mount it against my wall instead. I removed the door hooks, and decided to Velcro the back of the backboard and the wall - it was perfect! Now I hoop while I'm at home, but I do recommend getting a foam ball to keep the noise level down. Happy hooping ballers!
