Very good enhancement for Kindle case, works well

I just received my light today, I had ordered early, so they must have just started shipping. I see the poor reviews because of the shipping/charging confusion, and I know it was only because of forum comments that I knew that the light had to be ordered separately, but they seem to be trying to work out the kinks in the process. This light fits in the case perfectly, and tucks in along the spine without increasing the bulk of the case at all. It does not interfere with holding the case for reading, even if you are not deploying the light, and it is easy to move into position when you want to use it. The quality of the light is very good, which was not true of the first attachable reading light I bought (which I got rid of and got a Mighty Bright, which is a good one). This is great, I was missing some reading opportunities because it is getting dark earlier, and now I don't have to worry about finding light!

This is great! It fits in the cover and is so convenient. The light itself has nice illumination. It doesn't glare on the screen. It's a great accesory for the M-edge Kindle cover.

Lighten Up!

I've read some negative reviews on this product so I thought I would chime in with my own experience. I LOVE THIS booklight! I waited a long time for this booklight to be available and it was honestly worth my wait. It's a perfect fit for my m-edge cover and the neck of the light lays perfectly along the spine of the cover. Portability is top notch. Because I do allot of reading I've had to change out the batteries numerous times but that is to be expected for those of us who read for long periods of time. I normally use the brightest light but I love the option to dim the light should the need arise. This is a perfect companion to the Kindle!

Great product for use with M-edge jacket!

I purchased the M-edge jacket along with the e-luminator light (direct through M-edge) and could not be happier. I love how the light fits snuggly into the provided slot and tucks away into the designed 'channel" when not in use. I used the Mighty Bright light while waiting for the updated e-luminator to become available. For me, this product is a great improvement. It's always with my Kindle and is easy to operate. The light is bright enough for reading and distributes evenly across the screen. As I carry my Kindle everywhere I go, it's good to know the light is with me as well. It's a shame they are once again backordered as my daughter is getting a Kindle and M-edge jacket for Christmas and I know she'd get much use out of the light!

Excellent!

I have the "older" version of the M-Edge Kindle cover. I received it just a few days before the announcement of the upcoming e-Luminator light, or I would have ordered the new version with the light, but never mind - I LOVE my M-Edge cover - red genuine leather. I realize this is not a review of the cover but of the light, so read on. When I saw the new lights, I decided to order one even though it was clear that they were not meant for the cover I had just bought, but since my cover was still so new, and I didn't want to order another one so soon, but I really thought the light looked great... I went ahead and ordered the e-luminator - it was reasonably priced and I figured I'd find some way to make it work with my cover. Well, it arrived yesterday, and that's exactly what I did! I simply tucked the plastic "tongue" (which is meant to be tucked into a pocket behind and from the left of the Kindle), behind the Kindle from the top. The light arm is flexible so it easly wraps around the Kindle to the left, and the cover closes beautifully and everything is secure. I am thrilled! Like a previous reviewer, I had the Mighty Brite, and had absolutely no complaints, however being able to carry the light right along with the Kindle rather than separately is a huge benefit for me. I travel a lot, and read on planes, etc. and now I don't have to rummage around in my bag looking for the light.. and it's just a pleasure to have that tiny light available whenever I want it. Kudos to M-Edge for excellent design, both in covers (I have one of their other covers as well - the clear plastic for beach reading) and the light. I know the light wasn't meant for the cover I have, but I'm thrilled that it is working great, and would purchase from them again in a heartbeat. I think they are a great company. Innovative and creative, and the note from management in this review column was a nice touch. They really don't have control over how Amazon does business, and they are trying to do well by their customers.

Great little light for Kindle use

I love this M-edge Light. I can't tell you how many times I've used this accessory for my kindle. It's great for reading in bed, on an airplane etc... It fits in my kindle book cover and does a great job.

M-edge e-Luminator Booklight for Kindle 1

This booklight is perfect for the m-edge Kindle 1 book covers. It fits in perfectly and the light is flexible for reading, and has an easy to open battery cover. This is a no-brainer, get this one if you can. It does not stick out of the cover at all so it is completely protected and you never have to worry about it falling off like the other clip on lights.

Love my e-Luminator!!!!

I received my e-Luminator yesterday and I couldn't be more pleased. The light is simple, straightforward, fits perfectly with the M-edge jacket. The lack of a backlight was my only gripe with the Kindle, but now that has been completely solved. When you don't need the e-luminator, it lies flat and is not in the way at all. the whole system really works. It is so nice to finally be able to read my Kindle in bed while my husband is sleeping. I am not quite sure why people are complaining so much about the shipping and their credit cards being charged $9.99....isn't that pretty standard when ordering anything online. Regardless, this is a perfect solution for the Kindle. I recommend to anyone who has a Kindle.

Low profile - slick design - works great

This light is meant to be used with the new M-Edge Kindle covers. Rather than have a clip, there is a small plastic bar/tab that slips into a slot behind the kindle (to be honest, I did not even know it was there until the light arrived - I envisioned it would go in the elastic pen tab). Very slick. It does not interfere with the kindle in any way. Pros: -Lays flat beside kindle, cover easily closes over it -No big clip to worry about -Battery easily replaced - screw top design requires no tools, battery size like that similar to garage door opener -Flexible arm easily conforms to any place you want it to be -Blue hue reduces glare and is not harsh whatsoever but plenty of light to see (woohoo!) -Arrived with battery Cons: -It seems a little short at first which results in uneven illumination, but length is of course limited (I've adapted) -Very plastic-y -Seems to attract dirt in its seams (mine had some coming out of package) -Obviously, because it is made to work with the kindle, it doesn't have a clip or stand to work as a stand-alone light, which other options have Since my big grievance has been toting around my large Mighty Bright light, I couldn't be happier. This light has zero footprint, easily fitting inside the kindle cover when closed. While this does not pertain to the light, unlike other reviewers, I have nothing but positive things to say about M-Edge customer service. I was contacted by two customer service reps via e-mail 1) regarding a cover I returned and 2) regarding the light's shipment date. They were both extremely pleasant and gave accurate information. My light arrived 12/26 and was ordered the end of November.

I LOVE IT!

I have had my light over a week now, and LOVE it! I find that it gives off just the right amount of light. I have a "Mighty Bright" light and found on high it was too bright (bothering my husband when he was trying to sleep) and on low it was not bright enough. This light is just right! I also love the way it fits with the case. You will always have light when you need it. Its not "top heavy", which the "mighty light" is. I had problems with the weight of the other light causeing fatigue to my hands and wrists while holding. I truly love this light, the design with the cover is great!
