I read a lot of reviews for this product, many complaints about its limitations. I had used SiteSpinner, and then upgraded to SiteSpinner Pro. Its not that hard. If your having trouble with it, your not trying hard enough. I was able to build a number of great sites with it, remember web design is after all about design. What I really want to emphasize here is the absolutely stunning tech support I received from the LarryD the Geezer Guru, on the Virtual Mechanic. I needed to add functionality way beyond a simple site and he walked me through every step of the way, and provided me with everything I needed to maintain the site down the road. Take a look at nycoperascene.com to see what I mean. If I had hired a web developer this service would have been way expensive.

This is a very good web design product. Perhaps using templates may be straight forward but designing pages from scratch involves some sort of learning curve. But then again it is true for any software. However, most features are self explanatory and the help pages are quite useful although perfection some times calls for trial and error. What make this good product a truly exceptional one is the online support. I personally have never had this level of superior support from any product I purchased. I am not sure how long they can keep this up as the turn around response now seems just a few hours. If they can keep up this level of support with such quality product it is heading towards becoming one of the best, affordable web design software today. One suggestion is they increase online video support on more topics. This will help young people getting on board as I seen a couple of 9 year olds trying to develop their sites using site spinner online video support.

Good software. Great replacement for Front page

I bought this because it said it does mobile sites, and it worked well for that. I did a site for a local service station, and they are very happy with the results. I will use this one on a lot of regular sites, too. Much shorter learning curve than Adobe.

I have been a computer and web person for many years so I am familiar with the process and most software menu items. Having said that I was able to create my web page in only several days. I did not use most of the features so I could have use the regular version. There are several packages using the same name so make sure you get the Virtual Mechanics SiteSpinner pro. Basic steps are simple once you try it out. Creat a text box save it to one page or all pages. Up load the photos you want, resize them, move them around and link them to all pages or current pages. The only problem I had was using the Sitespinner program to upload the page to my host. That was easily solved when I realized my host allows me to copy the files from my computer to their server with a simple copy upload command. That worked great so I just gave up trying to get the program to upload. Probably a simple setting in SiteSpinner I got wrong. Anyway I recommend this program if you want a simple web page that doesn't look simple. Hope this helps.

I had purchased the Pro version a few years ago and it has done everything that I needed to build and support my web pages. Just recently I needed to install it on another machine as the one that Pro was on was getting old. But, I couldn't find my disk. So, I contacted Virtual Mechanics about my issue and they worked with me to get it loaded on my other machine. I say awesome support and customer service. Thank You VM!

Pros: This is well thought out, common-sense SW that enables one to make websites without learning code. I've tried several & this is absolutely the best. Much is intuitive with great tutorials & a user forum that is active with fast turrnaround on answers Cons: You can't import an old website... but you can copy & paste and recreate an old one easily. They try hard, but picture albums are tough to do... but Jalbum (Jalbum.net) imbeds into these pages with ease. Summary: This is what FrontPage should have evolved into. This is absolutely THE BEST software for web development IF you don't want to learn code. That said, don't expect to just pick it up and use it. ... you couldn't do that initially with FrontPage either. ... there's much to learn here. .... but what you're learning is not about code but about objects on your page and how they interact... it's the right understanding of what is on the page. I feel like I should know this at this level. The tutorials, the active forum, and at least three experts with their own websites offering tutorials and tips (referred to in the Basic tutorials under What's Next) make all the info you need available. I had several fairly complex (in terms of layout) FrontPage websites that I wanted to convert because I just got tired of the unreliability of the FrontPage Extensions on the Host site. At first I was frustrated that I couldn't just copy them but had to recreate, but as I did it ... much was just cut and paste objects from the old site.... and....I learned how the objects on the page interact..... and I had both of them done in just a couple of days. I've tried Namo WebEditor, CoffeeCup, and Compozer... and didn't like any of them.... I was ready to be a FrontPage die-hard. SiteSpinner Pro changed my mind.... this is really good software. You can either get a 15 day trial, or, read through the tutorials before you even try it and see if it makes sense to you: […] Once I read through this, I bought it and won't be looking back. SiteSpinner Pro is the best!

I'm impressed. I have a hobby website jrhscalecars that, initially, had been written by my daughter. The site needed refreshing and she was way too busy to help. But I had neither the time to learn HTML/CSS nor money to pay someone to build the site. After checking the reviews I bought SiteSpinner Pro in January and, just two months later, working a few evenings a week, launched a completely re-written 20+ page website. It took a little while to get into the swing of things and some of the step-by-step tutorial instructions are a little confusing. But the great thing is that the preview capability really works. Definitely a case of what you see is what you will get. I'm not skilled enough to mimic a truly professional, media-intensive site, but that wasn't my purpose. I just wanted to get on the board with something decent ... and SiteSpinner let me do that. Definitely an excellent buy.

Okay upgraded to SiteSpinner Pro from Web Easy 8.0 and while it took a bit to figure out how to navigate, I absolutely love it. Coming from Web Easy I was used to the way that program worked/functioned so there is a little bit of a learning curve but I'm pretty tech savvy and can usually figure out what I want to do with just clicking on all things within the program. I was hoping for some Tutorials (like Corel Draw supplies with their program) but there isn't any videos. You can find a few posts on YouTube but nothing that comes with the program. ...and I have satellite internet so speed is an issue for me so some product tutorials on the installation CD would have been ideal but so be it. They do have a forum for questions and answers so with some digging you can probably find what you are looking for. I am just really impressed with this software and I am glad I "upgraded" to SiteSpinner Pro.

I wanted a web building tool with true WYSIWYG operation and Sitespinner Pro provides it in spades. Was able to build powerful web sites with custom designs, numerous pictures, and easy navigation. Customer service is also excellent with quick responses to technical questions and other support needs. If you are looking for an easy-to-use web builder that lets you build your own design (no restrictive templates), this is the tool for you.
