Secret to loading staples
There is a secret to successfully loading an entire 210 staple strip of Swingline staples into the full-sized Swingline stapler which the video does not show. I tried to load the stapler by placing the strip of staples onto the magazine, but the strip was too long to fit. I called the company, spoke with a terrific customer service rep, Kay, who told me that one has to push the strip of staples backward into the stapler where there is a spring. That's the spring that ejects the magazine . It worked. I suggested they add that vital bit of info to the video.

Best small/home office stapler out there. So worth the extra few bucks!
I bought this stapler after reading other reviews left on it. To me this stapler is hands down one of the best staplers I've ever used, including electric ones. This thing punches through stacks of paper with no hesitation. It says 2-40 pages, but I've done 50 or more no problem. To me the only limit this stapler has is how long the staples themselves are. I love how if I'm only doing several pages, I can staple them with my index finger..that's how easy this thing is to use. Not to mention the fact that loading the stapler, though a bit confusing at first, is a breeze too. At first I hesitated a bit on purchasing this because, compared to some similar staplers out there, it is a bit more expensive. Now that I have it though, I'm so glad I went with this. I've used other Swingline products before and have never been disappointed, I mean you get what you pay for and more, especially with this product. This stapler far and above speaks for itself. I highly recommend it.

it just works
I'll have to admit that the amount of pleasure I get from getting a perfect staple through 30+ sheets of paper is probably worth talking about with a professional. But this stapler is great. It works as advertised. It's not the best looking stapler in the world (again, should probably talk to a professional about the fact that I'm judging the attractiveness of staplers), but it gets the job done.

Does what a stapler should do. Staples!
Claims to be easy to use. Hard to believe it takes very little effort. No more banging to go through a pile of papers. Claims to be well built. It is. Looks good. Worth every penny. No more hitting my stapler two to three times to get one to latch on back side. So good, I bought my wife her own personal stapler! Didn't rate durability because only have had since first of year, but expect it to last a very long time. Highly recommend.

it stands up ready for your hand to grab
A little husky and heavy duty, but definitely a great office product. Always use SF-4 staples!!

Yes, it IS a full strip stapler.
This stapler exceeds all my expectations. The only issue is how you have to push a full strip of Staples against the tension spring to get it to load. Not a big deal, but it was frustrating before I figured it out. Esp since I bought this stapler specifically to be able to load full strips of staples.

Awesome stapler
Awesome stapler I know it may not seem like a big deal it's just a stapler but once you go through like 5 staplers in 2 weeks it starts to get really annoying and frustrating to keep having to replace them. This one has good weight it doesnt feel cheap looks good on the table stylish the weight feels good feels like your holding a real stapler not some peice of plastic. I Would recommend to those that are sick of having to replace staplers ever week or so.

Reliable
Other staplers seem to go out of alignment, then they result in crumpled staples that don't fasten the sheets or they jam the stapler. This Swingline Optima 40 has been reliable -- works every time. It has not jammed. I've used it to staple ten sheets of 24 lb paper, and it produced perfect results. (I haven't tried it on the manufacturer's claim of 40 sheets. Maybe they used thinner paper.) The only negative is that it was tricky to figure out how to load the staples the first time. I love it, and I bought a second one to have handy.

A swingline like a hammer
I showed up at an office where we do a lot of paperwork, and I mean hand written paper reports. A lot of my colleagues were using electric staplers because our reports were often multiple pages of varying thicknesses. I'm old school, and not afraid to use a little muscle, and I don't like having to wait for the sensor to detect the paper. This stapler is fantastic. It'll push the corresponding staples through a pack of yellow stickies with minimal effort, time and time again. Very sturdy. I'm with Milton: this is MY stapler.

EASY-PEASEY
A wonderful stapler. Surprisingly staples multiple sheets with a one-finger push. Much less force than other staplers, which is a comfort to arthritic hands. It is somewhat heavy, but I really don't need to lift it while it is positioned well on my desk. Push the back button and the tray slides out for easy refilling. Very nice indeed from an old familiar brand.
