I’m fortunately I was hurt by my ex he headhunted me and I had to get 9 stitches across my face. It was a deep gas.. you don’t want to see the original picture before I was stitched up trust me. Anyhow, back to the review this stuff has actually truly improved my car since I’ve been applying it 1 to 2 times a day morning and night even though it says you don’t have to do it once I noticed a huge change in the structure of this scar. It’s no longer deep it’s starting to fill in because As your can see if it was very deep. This incident happened on April 6, 2018. . It really works!

I had a bikini cut surgery, my PC said she would not advise me to use this when I first noticed the scar tissue forming. Anyway I decided to try it and it works! I noticed the softening the first week I used it and i was only applying it once per day. This works well. This is my honest review no hype, not paid for. I rely on reviews because I shop a lot online. I still had to cover the scar just to void anything rubbing against it.

About a year ago, I had a cystic acne explosion - 150+ lesions appeared on my skin in a very short time frame. After months of clearing up the cystic acne, blackheads, and whiteheads, my skin was left with hyper-pigmentation marks (red, purple, brown) and an uneven texture. I have used a number of prescribed topicals, retinoids, and medical grade skin lighteners. My dermatology specialist (who has dealt with acne herself) recommended this product because it was affordable yet effective. I was highly skeptical that it would work, but wow was I wrong! It does take a few weeks to start noticing a difference. But I truly have noticed a big difference in my overall skin tone (marks are fading) and the texture is starting to even out as well. This stuff works but you MUST MUST MUST be consistent with using it every night. Tip: rub the gel into your skin until it is dry, just before bed. Use it on top a moisturizer; your skin will still reap the effects but you won't have as much redness and peeling :)

You do need to use it every day but it's great

I had basically a large skin tag on my thigh that I hated, as it stuck out and was pink-ish and was very obvious to me when I was seated in shorts or a skirt. I got it removed and I now have scar tissue in the same size and shape as the growth was, and almost the same color. Until now it was raised and very pink, and just as obvious as the growth was. I used bio oil for a while every day to try and get rid of the scar, but it wasn't really making much of a difference, plus the application was messy. I've been using Mederma for about a month and already I see a huge difference in the scar. It is less pink, less raised, and generally less noticeable. The application is also super simple, as the end of the tube is rounded like some lip balms are, so you can just rub the tube directly on the scar with no discomfort. The skin on my legs is more sensitive than other places on my body for some reason (I have adverse reactions to shaving, it gets drier than other parts of my body, sun tan/burns stay discolored for longer) and I have no problems whatsoever with this product. The only thing is that I'd let it dry for a few minutes before putting clothing over it. I would bet my scar is going to be as light and unnoticeable as it's going to get by the time I run out of the tube I have, but I will be happy to re-purchase this product!

This Helped Me With My 20-yo Scar!

I have a big scar on my leg from 1997 caused by an insect bite which got infected. After reading the reviews of this product I decided to give it a try. As others suggested, I applied the gel 4 times a day (sometimes 3 when I was really busy). I started using this August 2018 and I’m on my 3rd tube now (January 2019). You really have to be very patient as this works very slowly but it does really work! I’m happy I found Mederma, I will continue using this until the scar diminishes completely. The first 2 photos are the “before”, taken August 2018, while the 3rd photo on December 2018, and 4th photo was taken after around 2 weeks.

Almost Immediate Results

Great product! I recently had total knee replacement surgery. I have been using this on my scar for just a few days and improvement is already clear! I had some areas of keloid and they are steady much flatter and paler. Highly recommend!

It is the best!!

It is the best!!! I had never had acne before in my life, and due to my hypothyroidism I was drinkind some pills that contain B12 vitamin, and that made me breakout horrible! I was so depressed I wouldn't go out of my house. I started using this cream. It feels kind of itchy and if you put a lot when it dries it will peel, but if you pit it woth your finger and rub it throughly it's gonna last for the whole night!! I totally recommend it! Of course aleays clean your face twice a day, use a toner or an astringent ( I use Thayers) and then apply it!

I have gotten very good results using it for old scars

In my experience mederma works. However, it does take time and constant repeated application over a long period, it is not a sudden magic potion. I have gotten very good results using it for old scars. I also had a newer scar I treated with it that is just barely a memory now, so as weird as it seems I can not give this full credit for that because I am not sure what it actually did. But I had 2 very prominent older scars, one from an infection in primary school and another from a bad friction burn later on and both of them showed a lot of improvement (the first is completely gone and the second, which is not in a place that anyone can typically see so did not get the same level of attention is barely visible). This stuff used to be way overpriced, and I believe there is a generic now so if you can find that then go for it! DO NOT FORGET TO USE IT RELIGIOUSLY QND NOT STOP EARLY.

IT REALLY WORKS

I fell and cut my upper lip from lip to nose on July 4. 4 stiches outside, and 3 stitches inside. After reading the reviews from other users, I apply Mederma Advanced Scar Gel - 1x Daily, Mederma Night Scar Cream - 1X at night, and take 2 Biotin capsules -1x day. I also massage the scar for a couple of minutes until the scar tissue softens. Several times a day, I massage the scar tissue - recommended by my Doctor. The results are incredible. The angry red has lightened to a pale pink. The scar tissue softens every time I massage it, and is becoming unnoticeable. I didn't believe I would see such drastic improvement. I recommend this product with no reservations. 6 MONTHS LATER: The scar is completely gone. I do massage the area if I feel any tissue is there, but, no one can see any evidence of the scar. YEAH! USE IT- IT WORKS.
