I picked this up to hard wire a dash cam into my B7 Audi A4. This product was able to fit in the compartment and add the fused circuit I needed. Since I was hunting for a keyed circuit (off when car is off), I chose fuse slot 16 which was labeled for garage door opener on my vehicle (didn't want to tap into a more critical circuit, like headlights). I verified with a multimeter it would only come on with the key and then simply ran the attached red wire to the tip of the cigarette socket plug after cutting off the crimp and stripping some wire to make contact. Then I used some spare wire to wrap around the plug to hit the ground wings and connected that to a loose screw in the same fuse box with a ring terminal. There is plenty of room to store the plug behind the headlight switch, but be sure to tape it up to keep it from rattling or getting into the steering linkage. When inserting this product, make sure the wire tail is pointing toward the rear of the vehicle! The fuse slots get power on the side closest to the engine/battery and use a fuse to link to the circuit, so installing this backwards could be detrimental, especially if using different fuse ratings (it would run them in series which is no good). The flat side is all connected and the tail only connects to the top slot and the other leg connects to the bottom slot on the tail side. Would be wise to pull the fuse and double check which side is hot on the car in case your application is different from mine, but typically the side closest to the battery is supply. Good luck DIYers!

Assortment of top quality add-a-fuse adapters with strip and crimp blue open end. These are perfect for adding power for radar detectors, dash cams, hard wiring any accessory. Match the type adapter to the size (not amperage, dimensions) of youR vehicles fuses. Remove desired fuse from box with puller/needle nose pliers, put that fuse in slot as shown in directions, then pick other power rating fuse and put in other open slot, insert in block in vacated hole. Your initial circuit keeps original rating, wired end fused at other slot at the second fuse amperage. Don’t force the low profile fuses, they’re a bit tricky to fit in all holders. Small pack of fuses comes with in varies low range apps & sizes. Good value, fast shipping.

Used this to hardwire a dashcam into my 2010 Cadillac CTS, instead of using the power outlet in the car. I didn't want to take the dash apart to find an ignition wire, nor did I want to splice into factory wiring. I just found the 10 amp ignition fuse under the hood and plugged this into that slot. Then I plugged a 10 amp fuse into both slots. Then, I simply spliced a red wire into the supplied butt connector and ran it into the cabin of the car and up along the windshield pillar. I grounded the camera with an existing screw behind the dash. I used wire loom to hide the wire in the engine bay. Looks and works perfect.

I used these to install 2 dash cams and properly re-install a dash cam in a friends car. My friend just shoved a wire into the fuse block. I looked at that and promptly added a fuse tap. These are nice that they include a crimp for the tap. Of course you can always solder a connection and use shrink tube for an excellent connection. These are quiet easy to install, and the variety should fit most applications. There are a few standard capacity fuses included to get you started. This is worth the money to properly tap into the fuse block instead of shoving a wire and hope it stays in. The tap I installed for my friend also suffered from intermittent power because he did a poor job to begin with. Do things the right way first and use these add a circuit fuse taps to prevent electrical or fire issues from incorrectly installed wires.

I used this to quickly and easily get 12v ignition power for a dash-cam in 4 vehicles. This made quick work of that process. It allows you to relocate the original fuse (keeping it in the loop), and comes with a bag of 15-amp fuses you can use to protect your new tap. The included "hot wire" has a crimp connector for easily attaching a power cable. In my case, I didn't need that wire, so I used a piece of shrink wrap over it to keep it from ever touching anything, and my dashcam came with a combination fuse/power connector that plugged right in. What a great value for the money in this kit. Totally recommend it at 5x the price.

These Nilight automotive fuse taps appear identical to the ones sold at the local store, except for the price. I was able to get this entire 10-pack assortment for less than the cost of a single fuse tap at the auto parts store. I used these to power two dash cams in two different cars. I wasn't sure which type of fuse taps I'd need, so I wanted the assortment on hand. In the end, I only needed the low-profile minis, but now I've got spares for other cars and other projects.

I don't like that I have to spend my time reviewing this item. I have bought it, I have paid for it, I have received the product. I have not complained about anything. What more is there to say ? The product was good, the buying experience was good, but this is an intrusion into my personal time. I don't want to spend my time reviewing the purchase of an item. It is a pain in the ass - my ass, that is.

I LOVE this! I wish I had known about this yrs ago. I ordered the variety pack because I wasn't sure what I needed, however this pack suited my needs perfectly. I highly recommend. that said, I would recommend Googling whatever you're trying to do. Great resource!

I cannot blame the manufacturer for these not working in either of my newer vehicles. I bought the pack with multiple sizes believing I would end up with the size I needed. I was wrong. None of the sizes included in this package work in a 2018 Silverado or a 2019 Elantra.

I ordered this little guy to hard wire my new dash cam (BlackVue DR600GW-HD). I didn't want to fidget with the cigarette lighter plug and I wanted all the wires concealed. Well didn't this work perfectly. I don't consider myself a super handy guy, but opening up the fuse panel, locating a fuse that would work and plugging everything in was a breeze. Cutting the cable to the camera and connecting one wire to this and the other (black) to ground wasn't that hard either. Now the cam fires up when I turn on my car and powers down when I turn off the car. No visible wires. No mess. And if/when I want to disconnect it, there will be no a trace of anything.
