I love Melissa and Doug stuff! They tend to be a bit more pricey but definitely worth it. They are durable and last years! I have some stuff going on ten years and they still look brand new!!

I bought it for my grandson who just turned 2. He loves it. It's easy to use and he has so much fun putting it together. It almost seems too easy for him but he still loves it.

I am so glad we purchased this Melissa & Doug Puzzle. My Grandsons love playing with it. It stimulates so much learning. We talk about the different Vehicles as they come out and go back in. They were accurately naming each off the first day of use! We talk about the colors, shapes, background, storyline... It teaches so much for so little outlay. Used together it also triggers imaginative play and toddler speech. Being a Melissa & Doug product means you can count on quality construction and durability. This is made to last and be passed down for generations. I recommend this purchase without reservation.

our grand daughter is 18 month and we are working with her on puzzles and eye hand coordination. We like this puzzles so much because it holds her interest and she can slide the pieces into place. It has little knobs to pull the pieces up and place them back into place, but our grand daughter prefers to slide them. We have other knob puzzles, but for some reason this kind seams to be easier to handle for her. There are other puzzles in this kind and we are getting them all. We love everything Melissa & Doug and found that their toys are well made, educational and can be used with close supervision on ages slightly below the recommendation.

I work in law enforcement, so I always lean towards stuff like this for my son to get him interested. This is a very cute and colorful little puzzle. The great things about this brand's puzzles it that when you lift each puzzle piece, the picture of that piece is still there to help teach your little one where things go, so these are great first puzzles for teaching them the concept, as well as what each vehicle is called. My two year old loves it. I will say that the puzzle does already have some scratches on it from being banged around, and we literally just opened this Christmas present 4 days ago, so I am concerned about the durability at this point. Otherwise, an affordable cute puzzle!

My boy got this for Christmas. He was almost 2 and he's been loving this puzzle. The pegs make it easy for him to grab the pieces and he's been having fun matching the pieces to their corresponding vehicle. Puzzle is very easy for little hands with the chunky pegs. WE've always loved M&D puzzles with all my kids (8, 4 and 2) and I was happy to get a couple new ones for my youngest. He loves them!

My 1-year old who loves vehicles was obsessed with this puzzle for a good 3-4 months. He occasionally will still play with the puzzle pieces and make them move or make noises. This was my son’s first puzzle and it helped him gain skills to do others - the pegs on the puzzles really helped him easily rotate/move the puzzles around till they fit.

This puzzle was a gift for my son's 2nd birthday. His favorite song is Wheels on the Bus and he loves pointing out buses everywhere we go, so I knew he would love it! Melissa and Doug make great quality puzzles. We have several from my oldest child that are 8+ years old and still holding up well. The pegs on this one are small but adequate for a toddler's grasp. The picture is printed beneath the puzzle piece which makes it easy for younger children to match. We practice naming the vehicles and my son is getting great at putting pieces in by himself. This is wonderful fine motor practice. Soon we will "graduate" up to simple jigsaw puzzles and likely will seek out Melissa and Doug brand for those as well!

I love the Melissa & Doug line! Some of the reasons why- Handcrafted Quality Non-Toxic (important when you have kids who put everything in thier mouth) Value This puzzle has been a hit! I love Amazon too because I saw the same one a few weeks ago priced at 15.00 so I feel like I did great picking this up for less than 8.00! My son is 18 months, the recommended age says 2+ but he really has gravitated towards puzzles so if your child is younger than 2 and loves puzzles, I don't see why this wouldn't be appropriate, the pieces are big enough that they are not a choking hazard. The puzzle pieces are also educational, we do the puzzle together and we say the names of the pieces-plane, bus, ambulance ect...he enjoys that connection. His favorite piece is the bus lol and every time he sees a bus lately he has said bus! So I like the fact that these pieces are related to things we see regularly. Underneath the pieces are corresponding pictures that make it easier for them to match the piece. Puzzles are great for enhancing memory and hand eye coordination in little one's. This non-electronic toy is played with more and used more for learning and development than any of the electronic toys I have, so it is well worth the price.

Our son LOVES this puzzle. We got this for him when he was about 17 or 18 months old and he just loves putting the puzzle together--he does not seem to tire of it (he's almost 19 months now). He's always curious about what each vehicle is and can say "bus" and can definitely distinguish all the different vehicles even if he cannot say them. He's gotten noticeably better at fitting the pieces in correctly. Only trouble now is we seem to be missing the bus puzzle piece. Does Melissa & Doug sell spare puzzle pieces? :).
