I bought this glove for a friend after telling her about mine (different brand). Mine came with a pair of gloves which I like better just to keep one for items that stain (e.g. carrots). Certainly a "must" for using with a good quality (SHARP) mandolin.

When you're short like me, lifting into a wall oven is difficult. Have had numerous burns over the years, and, these gloves truly protect people who are less than 5 feet from burning themselves. Also, great for transferring from oven to grate for cooling whatever you're baking. Love 'em dearly.

Wonderful for use with a mandoline, saved us from awful cuts numerous times. Washes clean even from beet juice with a few quick swishes in dishwater, then dries quickly. Am adding this to my bridal shower gift baskets in future!

This glove Starred on a local TV show just before the holiday - Hand Surgeons did a MKE cooking show with all the possibilities for severe injuries - but not one drop of blood was shed using this microplane glove. Impervious to (extremely sharpened) Santoku knives, Mandoline, Cuisinart blade, graters, peelers, etc., all in the hands of kitchen amateurs! We were disappointed Giada DiLaurentis failed to watch the Hand Surgery, Ltd. presentation the day before the Food Network LIVE Thanksgiving drama. Oh, Whoops!! and ouch.

These gloves are great! The are lightweight and fit tightly so you can do your work without feeling like wearing bulky gloves. It is such a relief to microplane without worrying about cutting myself! Makes the work so much faster and easier. I grated two coconuts quickly with no problems!

Simply put, this is an easy-on / easy-off glove that you can grab out of a drawer and throw on when your slicing rolls in half or cutting vegetables that will help to keep your hands safe. It's flexible, comfortable, and easy to use - which is the most important thing because if it was hard to get on you probably wouldn't bother with it. Keep in mind it's more for slicing than stabbing, so if you were shucking oysters and you slammed the knife into the palm of your hand you'd still get hurt, but for everything else it's a great safety net. If you have a clumsy friend, this might make a great gift.

Two days after purchasing a beautiful Japanese santoku 51/2" knife, I sliced my finger. Because the knife is so sharp, I did not feel the cut at first and actually became afraid of using the knife. I purchased the cut resistant glove and now I use the glove all the time when using the santoku. It does protect and is easy to clean.

A glove that provides me an extra layer of security when using a mandoline or box slicer. I do not expect this glove to protect me in all situations, still, it is better than bare hands. I fully expect the fabric to deteriorate over time and am gladly willing to pay for a replacement if it is torn or damaged while protecting my skin.

I like this glove not only for protecting me from cuts or abrasions, but it's great because it rinses off and air dries nicely after using it and because you can put it in the washer and air dry it after and it's just like new. For example, I've cut strawberries with it and the strawberry stain rinsed right out with cool water from the sink. Don't put it in the dryer however, not recommended.

I wear these gloves when using a box grater or my mandoline. I have cut myself so may times on the grater it's ridiculous. These gloves are comfy and keep my fingers safe and sound. Perfect for oyster shucking. I wipe them off and put them away for the next time. Love them!!
