I mostly wanted this ladder for its safety feature. We recently got a 24' Coleman ultra frame style pool and we have a toddler. Not only was the ladder that came with it lacking any feature to keep my toddler out, it was also skinny and felt like it could just twist and drop you on the floor when you're walking up it. Based on the reviews I knew this ladder would not be completely sturdy since I have an ultraframe pool but the level of sturdiness is better in my opinion because, while it does move, it doesn't feel unstable in the way that you feel you will fall off of it. I've noticed that leaning in to the ladder helps . I feel more comfortable using it since it's wider. With the old ladder all of the adults had to go in sideways at the top which made it even more scarier since it was wobbly. I'm satisfied with it even for the wrong type of pool.

We have an 18'x48" intex easy set pool and We love this ladder! It states that it's not intended for our type of pool BUT The reason it's not made for our type of pool is because it can't be braced to the actual pool. And it is supposed to be attached to the ledge that surrounds most above ground pools. However, the little flimsy ladder that comes with the intex easy set pools doesn't attach to anything either and this is a MUCH sturdier ladder. We "make it work" and feel much safer climbing in and out of our pool now.. We found a way to stabilize the outside bottom of the ladder so it doesn't wobble. And with little grandkids playing in our backyard it's so nice with the roll down safety guard. My husband and I, working together found it very easy to put together. I can't say enough good things about this ladder!

Easy to setup, put it together by myself before my wife got home as a surprise. 10xs sturdier than the original Intex Ladder. I have the 32'x16'x52" Intex Ultra Frame rectangular pool and this ladder sits just above the top rail of the pool. I used the stabilizer bars just above the top rail and some stakes on the outside legs to keep it from moving at all. The wife loves the sturdiness, the wide platform at the top, and the fact that it can be locked to keep kids/others from using it is a great bonus. I would definitely suggest buying this!

We bought this ladder to replace the smaller flimsy ladder that came with our 18x48 Coleman Vista series pool. This is a great ladder... very heavy duty.... You will need a rubber mallet(My hubby used his hand-but hes Hercules lol) and a screw driver & a drill bit. Holes are not pre-drilled. It took us longer to put this together than it took us to put up our pool lol. The lock is a great feature and the platform on the top is huge. There are two holes where plugs go... we weren't sure what they were for(we probably didn't read the whole manual lol) But I am in a pool group on Facebook and was told they are they holes that you use to fill the inside of the ladder with water to make it heavier- to make it stay put so they dont float in the pool. Makes sense! lol. Great ladder especially for heavier people.

The ladder that came with our pool was very thin and wobbly. So we bought this one based on the positive reviews. It was not hard to assemble, took under an hour. We love it! Now we feel very safe getting in and out of the pool. My husband is a little over 300 pounds and feels safe on this ladder. I included a picture of our original ladder and this new one.

These are very sturdy and safe. My brother has down syndrome and his weight was too much for the standard stairs. He had trouble manuvering up and down since the steps were so narrow and we worried about him getting in without letting someone know since he loves the pool so much. With these stairs all the problems are no longer worrisome. We lock the stairs when we are done using it each time. They are easy to unlock, so not a hassle at all. You can still easilly remove them from the pool if you wish. They do not twist or shake when he tries to go up or down. Great option when you don't have a pool store close by!

Works great for my 22' Intex pool. Yes a tiny bit of wobble because it can't attach to the top metal rim but such a huge improvement from the ladder that came with the pool. And the top platform is very large and comfy to sit on. There were a few holes that had to be pre-drilled before I could assemble but no big deal. All in all very happy with this ladder. Saw a review that stated it floats but I haven't had that problem, just filled the legs with water as instructed

Perfect for keeping the kids and the dogs safe and out of the pool! It took me about 2 hours to put together myself. It took both my husband and myself to put it in the pool and fill with water. It did float a little until we got it full of water, and now it’s super sturdy. Love how much wider it is than the ladder that came with the pool, and the landing at the top is plenty big enough for turning around to come down the other side. Highly recommend!

I looked over a lot of the reviews before choosing this ladder. There are a lot of things that people have talked about like trimming the extra plastic off to modifying the holes with a drill and drill bit. I had no problem putting this together. It took me an hour to assemble in my living room and 30 minutes to install on the pool. I have a soft sided pool and filled the entire ladder with water before making adjustments to secure the ladder. The blue pad they sell is undersized and should be 2 feet wide. The length is ok. Placing the mat a head of the ladder is a better way to go. I used the skimmer to help with placing it under the bottom step. My plan is to get unistrut next year and some new brackets to tie it to the legs of the pool. Thanks to everyone for their time to make comments. It really helped me with mine.

Did my research, purchased in Feb, assembled in May, installed in June. Instructions were very clear and repetitive on important steps. I have an Intex 48" Ultra Frame and the side brackets BARELY reach across the legs but do work rather well. I am going to retrofit some 1' uni-strut in place of the brackets due to my inability to properly locate the pool next to the paver path. Confer Plastics put a lot of R&D into this bad boy. #1, I READ THE INSTRUCTIONS & I DON'T REGRET IT. It was cold and raining that day so I assembled it in the garage in lessthan 2 hours, with smoke & coffee breaks included. All I needed was a rubber mallet, a philips head in my cordless and some 'alone time' to snap it all together. #2, I follwed the instructions and didn't care if anyone was watching. I climbed up on this thing WITHOUT the brackets installed and it still held my fat behind. #3, Once installed with legs filled with water and the side brackets mounted, I couldn't be happier. It is rated for 300# but I can tell you for a fact that it will safely hold more than that. #4, The roll-guard safety feature works great and is a MUST HAVE. We have a 4yo grandson with ASD and you can't be too careful. This is a POSITIVE feature that works better than advertised and is simple to operate. Confer Plastics even includes a high quality keyed padlock for the roll guard latch. This ladder is worth twice the money as it stands but is priceless when I see that the kids can't get it open without an adult.
