I originally purchase this to use in bed as a laptop stand and a book stand. Somehow it made it to the living room and resides under my coffee table until meal time. Each meal, I unfold it and use it as a dinner table to add height to the coffee table so I don't have to slouch as I'm eating. It doesn't feel like it, but it's extremely sturdy and has enough room for one person to eat from. Only drawback would be that liquids could potentially seep between the layers of the wood, but if you're careful, you'll be fine. Verdict: I would sell my dinner table, but need that when I have company... and to put my mail on... and groceries... and car keys... But this tray does wonders as a replacement for everything else.

I purchased this lap tray to replace one I had for a very long time. I work from home and sometimes like to sit on the couch or the bed instead of at the desk. This lap tray is very well made and I love the tilt tray. I bought an extra one for my grand daughter because she likes to sit on her bed and do her homework. This tray can be used for so many different things, breakfast in bed, putting together a puzzle. I would recommend this lap tray to my family and friends.

Got this tray for my mom while she was on bed rest to use for her meals, reading, and playing on her iPad. The quality is superb and all moving parts were smooth in their transitions from folding the legs to tilting the tray. The different angles on the tilting feature was much appreciate for her needs. It breaks down to a compact size and stores in narrow spaces. Although my mother has since passed my husband and I still use it for breakfast in bed or just eating while on the couch watching television. When my little nieces and nephews visit they like having this tray to draw and color on while sitting on the couch. One nephew says he is "an architect" when he tilts the tray and he draws using the ruler. It's pretty cute I have to say.

This is a must have for anyone who spends time on the couch with their laptop! It does a great job of functioning as a small table for my laptop and my cup of coffee in the morning. Sometimes I use it with the legs folded under and rest it on my lap and it keeps my legs from getting heated from the laptop. It's also just high enough that my cat can curl up in my lap while I use the laptop on top and that's a game changer in my book! I was also pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to clean. I left a drop of red wine on it overnight and it came right off with a sponge. It's so easy to fold up and store next to your couch for easy access and it's lightweight. It's definitely one of my most useful Amazon purchases!

I have Macular Degeneration and have lost the ability to see items which are "counter top" level. I love to cook but have difficulty chopping and reading my recipes. I have a large 5x7 adjustable lighted magnifying glass clamped to my kitchen counter, but have to hold recipes, etc. up to the lighted magnifying glass to read. This Lap Desk is the perfect height for my needs and the desk adjusts so that I can rest a book or recipe on it and it works very well. I'm so glad that I found this item. It also comes in handy for using my laptop while sitting in my chair.

We have two of these...the first was delivered broken on delivery. I contacted the vendor and they promptly took care of this and sent me a replacement the same day (I think?) My daughter uses this often for a dinner tray when we sit in the living room watching movies on movie night, she sits at it drawing her art projects and drawing fashion designs in her book (she's 6 YO, but I'm surprised how good she is!) It works great for every purpose we have used it for. The construction is fair...it wouldn't hold too much weight, but if you use common sense this should last you several years.

This is well built, the package came and you just pulled it out and started using it. The angle is perfect to set my computer on and the lip keeps it from falling. I caught my 3 year old sitting on the top of this like a chair (She isn't suppose to and she was corrected, but it speaks to the sturdiness). The price and the quality are just a 5 star in my book!

I am very happy with this, exactly what I wanted and exactly as described. Came assembled and went into immediate use - by my boyfriend who promptly took it over! It sits nicely over your lap and has plenty of room each side so you don't feel boxed in. It raises at a nice angle and was great when I had it up while coloring this evening. Boyfriend has used it for his laptop, his tablet and books. In fact I ordered another straight away so we don't fight over it, lol! This will also be good for using in bed, perfect for food or anything else. I looked at many of these before buying and settled on this one partly because of the price, can't beat the $11.69 I paid for it.

I've had one of these for about 11 years that has had almost daily use. My granddaughter, as she was growing up, especially loved it for doing her arts and crafts. It has saved my floors from all manner of glue, glitter, paint and slime. I just bought this one for my newest granddaughter. I know her parents will grow to love it as much as I do.

First of all it arrived superfast , was packed very well and looked just like in the picture. The lap tray is very sturdy and it feels safe to have a dink on it when I'm sitting in bed. There is enough room to comfortable slouch under it in bed (I'm a good sized 16) and watch a movie on my laptop..which is standing on the lap tray. It is very comfortable to write this review right now BECAUSE the lap top is on the lap tray :) I had one of those Lap top tray things with adjustable legs-all metal- and it was fine..but ugly and not really big enough and unsteady ..or wobbly- as I would like to call it. Also it was too low, it was practically almost resting on my thighs when I had it propped up in bed to do lap top stuff. This one is nice sized, I have air all around and I can actually rest my arms on it without anything giving in or tripping. It folds up nice and slim and fits right between my bed and the nightstand where it's almost invisible. So..it takes no room away when not in use. When in use it is light weight but very sturdy and secure. The one side raised up for reading or writing and stays in place nicely until released into the former position. I would definitely recommend it.
