Had a flat on my shore lander tandem boat trailer, looked and looked at how to do tire change with a jack. I quickly determined there is no easy safe way to lift the trailer to change the tire. In my googling I ran across this product, yes I was skeptical. When it arrived I brought it to my trailer, yes with the 24 ft Yamaha on the trailer. I hooked up the trailer to my vehicle, loosened the lug nuts, had to use a pipe over lug nut iron, for leverage, which worked too. I then put the yellow ramp aligned with the not flat tire and slowly pulled up on the ramp to the top. I was ecstatic that it lifted the flat tire with plenty of room from the ground, to change the tire. After that I backed down the ramp; presto - DONE! This was worth the money for what it done, not for the materials it was made out of. I think after shipping I paid around $50 for $15.00 of plastic, that saved me from playing around and buying a jack and blocks of wood. Well worth it in my opinion, and I don't mind paying extra for the convenience and safety factor.

Your mileage may vary, but for me this was a waste of money. It flat doesn't work on my trailer. I have a Salam 27' dual axel and the wheel not on the ramp is still on the ground. So I guess I'll have to go to the bottle jack and Jackstands to do what I want. I wish I could return it, but hey I tried to use it and it shows, so no return. Oh well, maybe I'll find someone local that can use it. UPDATE #1 I have it working now. I put a piece of 2x6 under it. I also angled the front of the 2x6 to make it easier to get up and down. Worked the first time out, tire is far enough off the ground now. I then went ahead and used 3" 5/8 lag bolts and attached the 2x6 to the Trailer aid using 2 of the "CENTER HOLES". Now it is one piece and easier to store in my truck. Also do not cheap out on the 2x6, buy a quality piece of wood.

This product was used to change a tire on our travel trailer, I could not get a regular shop jack underneath the trailer at the site where we store it. This arrived quickly, we used it to replace the punctured tire and install the spare tire. We re-used it to put the regular tire back in place following the repair. It worked as advertised, was very easy to use, and will continue to be used for less than the cost of a tire being repaired by calling out the tire repair truck, by me getting tires off and on and taking it to the tire store/repair shop of my choice. It was simple to use, very effective and I have told all my RV friends that this is the real deal. Thanks

Worked extremely well. A very safe way to raise one tire to enable the other tire to be removed or lubricated. Depending on your tire size it may be necessary to place a 1 x 8 under the device to get the needed clearance in order to lift the other wheel completely off the ground. For this reason I would recommend this one over the smaller one. It made lubricating our travel trailer tires so much easier. No need to use a jack.

Works for a 2017 Rockwood Roo 21dk. I wasn't sure if I needed the standard or the plus. I started with the standard model and it works. I get about 1-1.5 inches of lift. The dip at the top of the ramp is enough where I got the trailer positioned without a spotter. Great product! I like this over a jack.

Definite must have when you have a tandem trailer....so good and handy, I have one for my boat trailer and one for my motorcycle trailer.... Last year, while traveling to the lake, I had a flat and was able to change my tire in about 15 minutes...it only took that long because I had to dismount the spare from the trailer mount.... Just recently, I changed my wheels and tires on my motorcycle trailer and instead of a jack, I used the Trailer Aid and simply drove up the ramp each time to change the other tire on the tandem....to change 4 tires, it only took me about 40 minutes..... This thing is so convenient when you have to change a tire and a must have when you are traveling.... PS...what also makes things easy, is a also carry a ratcheted "breaker bar" along with the extension and the correct size socket.....no tire irons or "t bars" for me....

I bought one of these a few years ago but I guess I did a long term loan to the person that borrowed my trailer and had to buy a new one. It's nice not having to carry the additional floor jack in our horse trailer now so this takes up less room. Plus they sell a bracket that allows you to mount and store it up off the floor. You could pull it out and use it the first time without any instructions and get the tire changed quickly. Just drive the good tire onto the jack (slightly loosen the flat tire lugs first) and it lifts the flat/bad one off the ground to change it. No jack that slips. As with any jack, you do need a stable surface to sit this on or you will bury it in soft surfaces if the trailer weights enough (like our loaded horse trailer). So, as with some jacks, there is no need to unload weight before using this - we've safely changed a tire while the 3 horses were in the trailer. I also love the bright yellow color on this as it helps make it easier to see if you *do* sit it on the floor of the trailer. You can easily drill 2 holes in each side and secure some nylon rope to make a handle for it if you with. As I said, we had a similar trailer jack before but this design has some good grips along the bottom to help keep it in place while pulling the trailer onto it. There are some saw-teeth parts and a few round knobs that appear to have rids that run up the side towards the top - more than likely helping with the support of the base design. Over all, I would buy another in a heart beat if another friend "borrows" it again. Or charge them for it so I can buy another.

I borrowed a friend's Trailer-Aid to change the tire on my camper. The original model doesn't lift the camper high enough to get the bad wheel off the ground, so I had to use a 2x6 under it to get the clearance. I ordered the "Plus" model, and the tire clears without the extra lift. I have 18" wheels on my camper with independent leaf spring suspension. The product does make lifting the trailer for tire change a breeze!

I haven't used this for an actual flat tire (thank goodness), but I did test it and it raised my tire enough to change it. I haven't tried it on pavement, I tried it on grass, but it worked as advertised. My trailer is a 2014 Rockwood Roo 21ss and it has torsion axles. I heard this doesn't work well on leaf spring axles, so if you have those, I'd try something else.

Fortunately I have never had to use the Trailer Aid for my personal trailer, however we do travel a lot with good friends of ours and they were able to take full advantage of it. We were towing down south and I noticed one of their tires was was tracking funny so I called them and told them to pull over so we could take a look. Sure enough the side wall on the one tire was about ready to blow, so we decided to swap it out with the spare. No jacking, necessary, just place the ramp in front of the good tire, or behind depending which one needs to be changed, and pull/back the trailer up on the ramp until the good tire drops in the dip at the top. We had the tire swapped out in no time and were back on the road. My buddy swore he would pick one up, because it was so easy and he was extremely thankful I had one on hand, in fact, he bought lunch!! Definitely a must have for trailer owners in my humble opinion.
