Can't Live Without It
So glad I took a chance and tried this fan, I ordered 2 more recently for my sister and another room. She has severe Arthritis and has to turn it down or off during the night and the remote makes it so easy. I placed the remote control sideways onto a metal cabinet next to my desk with magnet strips so I don't lose it. Be sure the control faces directly toward front of fan base. I use the one I bought 2 years ago 24/7 in my bedroom for the pets and hasn't missed a beat.

Live the American Dream
Yes, you too can live the American Dream with this fan. Sit on your ass and with the push of a button, turn on a fan to cool you off. It's not quite as nice as 3 scantily clad women fanning you and feeding you grapes. But hey, it'll get the job done. For the price of most standard oscillating fans you can buy this bad boy and have a sweet little remote setup. I would have given it 10 stars if you could make it oscillate using the remote, alas...5 will do for now.

It’s the “junior” sized pedestal fan!
The fan height is not as high as I’m used to... however, it turns out to be just right as it is aimed in my direction while I’m in bed and, on a low or medium setting, keeps me very comfortable when I need it. I think it’s certainly meant for a smaller room. I haven’t yet needed the highest speed; but the really warm weather hasn’t hit yet! Unless it’s a cooler day, I let it run 24/7 as my bedroom gets the direct sun all afternoon until the sun goes down so that part of the day is the most important to me in keeping my room cool. We’ll see as the summer progresses how well it does but - so far I’m satisfied.

As always the Lasko fans are great!
As always the Lasko fans are great! IF you have multiple animals and need to clean your fans often, Lask should be your go to fan. They come apart and put back together super easy and work like the first day I got them. If there was a improvement to be made on this one, I would have liked the remote control to control the rotation and not just the speed.

Good product lightweight design
I'm a full-time caregiver and my other half requires a fan on her most of the day. I had to replace the last fan in past year and this model does everything we need but when I physically go by it's so light I can move out of the way without it getting knocked down and breaking! It was a good find and a decent price quite happy with it.

Exactly what you would expect
Easily assembles. Directions aren't really needed if you've had a fan similar to this before, nothing crazy to put together. Even on the lowest level it's a pretty strong wind. If you're looking for a slight breeze then maybe this isn't for you but all in all great product.

Love my new fan!
5/2/19 - EDITED TO ADD - Still like the fan, but we pretty much keep it on low most of the time. Some may find it too noisy on any setting any higher than that. Even on low it really moves the air around nicely. I still like the white house from this fan on low. Not too much for me. Great value and nice features for the price, seems nicely well made, love the remote (and that it takes AAA batteries not those flat ones!), easy to assemble (directions made sense), love the sleep mode, love the gentle white noise which is just right - not too loud or soft, does not rattle, love the adjustability and the oscillating feature. Very happy with purchase. Will probably get another for upstairs. We have central air but sometimes you just need to move the air around too. Often I don't need as much AC while using the fan. Wish the cord was just a little bit longer though.

Excellent, wonderful, just perfect!
I was a little bit concerned by some of the other reviews saying that the fan was noisy, or the remote had to be within a few feet of it, or that the fan didn't put out an appropriate amount of air, or that it was cheaply made. To spite all of those things, I ordered one anyway. The only thing I am disappointed about is that I didn't order the 2 that I originally was going to. The fan is very lightweight. Yes, it is plastic, but most fans are plastic these days. The remote does not come with batteries, but that's no big deal for the savings offered by this fan. I use it from across the room, about 15 feet away from me, and I can feel the airflow on the low setting. The Med setting is about perfect for most of my 85 degree days. The remote works just fine from this distance and doesn't cause me any problems at all. As far as the noise, I haven't noticed any that is different from any other fan I have ever owned. The fan also does not beep when turning on/off as soneother reviews have stated. I am extremely happy with this fan and will be purchasing the second one that I originally intended to get.

Starting Our Well, and Recommended
For starters, Thank you Amazon for using the US Postal Service so much in your deliveries; I think UPS used to play Stock Hockey (where you kick the product as hard as you can to the next handler). Damaged packages are at a minimum with the Post Office. Now to the fan itself. I was tempted to send it back when I picked up the blade, which is rather flimsy. But the rest of it was solid, especially the motor housing which had some definite heft. Assembly was tool-free and as simple as it gets. Anyone who complains about this aspect of the fan is hopeless. Most important of course is the amount of air it moves, which even on low is substantial (tendency for a little whining at high speed, but not bad). Some might gripe that there are only three speeds. Well, I'm easily satisfied, I guess. Time will tell how durable the product is, but having just put a higher cost two year old Honeywell in the trash (used for a total of maybe five months when you break it down) I figure I couldn't possibly do any worse. Time will tell, and I will absolutely revisit this review and adjust down my rating if I don't get a reasonable amount of use.

Quiet, Powerful, Easily Assembled
My bedroom has a window a/c unit, about all most Seattle dwellers need, since our summers are not as scorching as most of the USA. However, my grown daughter's room can't take a window unit due to the placement of furniture, so she requested this fan instead. It's lightweight but substantial and surprisingly quiet. She was amazed that it is so powerful, because the fan portion is not that large. The base fits in a fairly small space, so she can use it in her 10x10 bedroom. She needed a small amount of help getting it put together, but once her dad pitched in it took less than 10 minutes. Perfect!
