This item is an absolute HERO! Using 2 on a Grand Design Imagine 2600RB & there is ZERO movement now when entering/exiting the trailer. Very easy to setup (don't believe reviews that say otherwise) and no, they are not slipping/moving around. The key is to turn the BASE (not the top) once they contact the step bottom. Make them snug & they won't move. DO trust the reviews & buy 2 though.👍👍

After reading some of the reviews on this product (7-5/8" to 14" 43691), I was able to make an informed purchase. Many stated that you will need two of these to keep your steps stable. I can confirm this. These are small and lite when compacted for storage and are easy to use. I sprayed a little WD-40 Lithium lube on them and they adjust very quickly. You do have to adjust them so that your lower step is raised a little (especially on gravel and dirt) then once you step on them, they settle right in. I would defiantly recommend and use these again. I have used other products like this out there, and they tend to be bulkier or more difficult to adjust. The other alternative would be Moryde or Lippert steps that fold up into your doorway. Our last RV had these, and they are very stable, for sure. But you have to adjust the legs constantly on just about all surfaces, as they can be uneven most of the time (we even found that to be the case with black top spaces). We used a small piece of wood flooring as a shim, just about all of the time. And you have to sweep them off every time you fold them into your RV. You don't have that problem with fold down steps. So I believe these are the best and cheapest solution. Just do it! You won't regret it once you get used to them.

When we step in the camper, the whole thing no longer leans and rocks. It works perfectly.

The wifey and I were looking at the new steps that go all the way to the ground, but I talked to a guy that had those and he said that when you put the steps up, the dirt comes right in RV along with it. So, I figured why not try this thing. This brace is just what we needed. All we have to do is, adjust to the height of the brace when setting up at the site, and it is stable the entire time. Once we were boondocking and I decided to put a piece of wood under it to keep it from sinking into the field dirt. It works well, supports my fat arse, and is easy to set up. We didn't have to buy new steps, and I don't have to worry about closing up wet and dirty steps inside our RV.

We had been looking for something to ease the bounce of our trailer steps. This product makes it feel much sturdier and safer for the children. I got this for my husband for his birthday and he was excited to get it. We own so much Camco stuff you'd think they sponsor us, but they truly deliver in affordability and quality. Pros of this step brace: * Sturdy * Lightweight and easy to pack * Makes our trailer seem more grounded and stable as opposed to a shaky or unsteady and loud step * Afforable Cons *None! This is awesome!

The step saver has been a great purchase to use at our 5th wheel camper. This is the second one we purchased. Not because the first one was bad, but we would like to use one on each side of the step instead of one in the middle as pictured. My husband is a big guy and we could still feel the steps give a little with one. Two did the job. Like the stability of the item and it functions easily. I'm usually the one who sets it up. We do carry a small flat board to put it on since you never know what type of terrain we'll be on.....gravel, grass, asphalt... If you feel like your steps "give" a little when entering your camper, you will not be disappointed!

Pretty simple product, but made a big difference on how solid step feels. I had it adjusted to high at first and caused step to move alot. I set it just to where it was touching and staked it in place through the hole with a tent stake. Worked very well, i did use a 2x4 on step to spread out load. Might weld on a piece of flat steel on bottom of step and than I think it would work perfect. You can use several other things to get same effect as using the step saver but most things are bulky and heavy. So this works for me and hopefully it works as good for you too.

We have a 38 foot Grand Design Reflections travel trailer that rocked like a cradle whenever anyone entered or exited. These supports completely eliminated that motion! I purchased a smaller set as that was what we needed if we were supporting the lower step. Upon set up, however, we discovered it didn't help the movement much AND our bottom step folds up - So when stepping onto the next step up, it made the lower step tip up! Solution: We created a base in order to use them on the middle step... PERFECT! Now husband won't rock me awake as he leaves for work every morning (oh, woe is me, lol!).

I purchased these to put under our questionable step going into our camper. It seems like the step is just really worn and has been stepped on one too many times. It isn't broken but just seems like it's pretty worn out and needing some extra support. I originally purchased one and put it under the step and noticed that it helped a lot. The only problem was with one under it then the ends both seemed kind of weak and I wasn't sure if it was going to bend the step more. After purchasing a second one I am pleased to report that now the step is working great. The supports work so well and I think people could benefit from them even if their step isn't showing signs of wear. I think it would help in maintaining the stability of any free standing step going into an RV. We keep these in our camper and tuck them under the step anytime we set up camp. The quality seems very good and they're holding up very well. Great product!!

I have two of these, one under each side of the wide steps into my trailer, and they definitely work better in pairs for wider steps. I used only one with our previous trailer, which was lower and had a narrower step. I machine-screwed pieces of 1/4" plastic kitchen cutting board to the tops so there's no metal to contact, which helps quiet any noise. These braces definitely keep my high profile trailer from rocking when folks go up and down the steps and surely take a load off the welds where the steps attach to the frame.
