I read a bunch of reviews concerning this blower/vacuum. Overall, the guys rated it over four. I rated it as a FIVE. OH PLEASE. . this device smokes my old McCullough to death. I was working with wet leaves in Vegas, which is unusual, especially the no dust part. The wind speed on this blower peels off the leaves from the rocks and really worked great. I even put the wide end right over the round end to make it about 8” longer which works great for a guy 6’3”. The vacuum worked great too. For the last 15 years I have been fighting my old blower because it would jam up every quarter bag or so and I would have to disassemble the thing to unclog it. This vacuum ran through 6 full bags and NEVER clogged. I even sucked up some small sticks. When I sucked on the pea gravel, I just used idle and it cleaned up the gravel real nice. So count me in on the group that just loved using the Husqvarna 125 BVx Blower/Vacuum. The thing starts very easy and runs like a champ. I did use over 90 octane fuel and it comes with a bottle of oil to mix 50:1. Buy it, you’ll like it.

I did the research on several hand held blowers, my primary purpose being to blow off driveways and sidewalks after mowing. After looking at the Stihl and the Husqvarna, I decided on the Husqvarna and I haven't changed my mind despite my problems. I'm 6'3" so a concern was how far off the ground the nozzle would be, but this unit comes with 1 extension tube and 2 tips (a straight tube and an angled flat nozzle) and the plastic is molded to allow a long or short length with about 6" difference between the two. It's lightweight, feels balanced when held in one hand and from my first use had good power for my purpose. Here's the problem with buying from Amazon: out of the box I had problems keeping it running. It would run with 1/2 choke, but when I closed the choke and gave it some gas it would die. When that happened I would have to go through all the steps again: prime, start with full choke and then start with 1/2 choke. The Husqvarna web site says when you take it in for warranty repair or servicing you'll need your original receipt showing the serial number. Amazon doesn't provide that on their invoices. Luckily my warranty center accepted it for warranty repair without a receipt showing the serial number, and a phone conversation with Husqvarna customer support identified that a receipt from Amazon showing the purchase date is sufficient for warranty claims. I gave it 5 stars because, despite my initial issue, this is still a machine that with proper maintenance and care should last a long time. Update 3 Oct: My problem turned out to be a pin hole in a fuel line. They ended up replacing all the fuel lines and gaskets and the Husqvarna warranty paid for all the repairs. It's unfortunate that it's spent so much time in the shop, but my faith in the Husqvarna warranty is reinforced and my confidence in the Husqvarna name is still strong.

I've read many, many reviews of this model, some good, some just ripping it as junk. So I'll tell you the truth: I bought one 4 years ago and ran it to death. The vacuum unit was awesome, I think I pulled up part of China. The blower kicked ass. Unfortunately, it was worked to death by me, but it never failed me until the end. I just bought my second one, same model, and it works great. The key to these models is the gas/oil mixture, and letting it warm up properly. Be impatient with this model, and you'll have a tough experience. For me, this is an easy model to work with, the attachments work EXACTLY like they should (some reviews say they fall off; mine did once. Big deal). Again, ease of operation. Get yourself one.

My old leaf blower/vacuum kicked the bucket after 10 years and many, many repairs. I purchased a Husqvarna because my son owns one and the local dealer/repair guy said they were the best. I purchased my old blower/vacuum because I have numerous shrubs and the vacuum made it easy to do those areas. Enter the Husq. I haven't used the vacuum yet. No need to. This little guy just blows everything from here to kingdom come. What used to take me an hour or more is done in 20 minutes. I cannot believe the power of this little thing. What's also neat is that it is so light in weight. I am an old codger and have difficulty lifting. No problem. Between its light weight and the time it takes to blow the leaves, you hardly even know it's there. Forgot. It sips fuel compared to my old one. I keep checking the tiny little tank to see what's going on, and there is still fuel in it! Must have some Toyota Prius features built in because it gets such good mileage. Lastly, I live in the woods of northeastern Pa., and we have a ton of trees. My neighbors all have back backing blowers, but my little Husq beats them every time. Buy it. You will not be disappointed.

This blower was amazing. I bought this to replace a lousy one I purchased from a local big-name store (well known for its lifetime guarantee hand tools, not so much for its gas-powered equipment), and boy was I impressed. The research I did indicated that this was a great model to buy in my price range, and they weren't wrong. My neighbors were all impressed at how powerful it was, including one who borrowed it one day and jokingly complained that he was spoiled and was going to have a hard time going back to his electric (which, for what it's worth, is really good for an electric). He also made another joking comment that the machine was so good, that it "excited" him (nudge nudge, wink wink). I'm the kind of guy who hates certain types of yard work (like blowing leaves and weed whacking), but after buying this and a Husqvarna string trimmer, those chores aren't so bad. I almost enjoy them, because the new equipment makes them so easy to do.

A gift for my husband at first he said he didn't need it (had an old one he has been piecing together) but once he opened it and used it, he said he wanted to keep it, even though we don't have any leaves right now he has found many uses to play with it!!! The only issue is it did not come with the butterfly screw to undo the bag the screw needed a screwdriver which would have been a pain, but he wrote to company and they sent one out right away.

If I could give this blower 10 stars it would not be enough. I have had 2 other blower/vacs in the last 4 years and they seem to last a couple of years and then they don't run right anymore. I owned a Yardman from Menards that just stopped running after 2 years so I bought a Toro from Farm and Fleet thinking it would last longer....nope 2 years and then would not keep running. The Toro supposedly has the same CFM air capacity but this blower works twice as good. The Husqvarna is quieter, doesn't vibrate as much and starts on the 2nd pull. It comes with a sling to put over your shoulder so you don't have to carry it. At 199.00 its only a little bit more than the other blowers but it is well worth the price. I got mine on a ware house deal for 161.00 because someone couldn't read directions on how to attach the blower tube. Spoiler Alert: The smaller narrower end of the tube does not attach to the blower housing it is too small and the housing will not tighten down on it. I am not sure of longevity on this blower but I have had my Husky chainsaw for 12 years with no maintenance whatsoever. It starts on the 2nd pull every time even below zero weather. I cut about 5 to 6 cords of wood a year so it gets used a lot. Do not hesitate to buy this product or anything in the Husqvarna line.

This blower/vac is excellent (especially for the price.) I weighed it in verses an ECHO and a STIHL, but when it came down to features, extras included, and then the cost, the Husky won. I do own a Husky chainsaw and love it, so I am familiar with the brand, but I have also used many STIHL saws and blowers too. But for how it functions here are the pros: 1.) Blowing is good volume and speed for a homeowners needs 2.) Vacuum works well as it has metal mulching blades 3.) Weight is fine and doesn't bother me (I am 29 yrs old and healthy right now) 4.) Comes with oil, scrench, flat nozzle, round nozzle, vac nozzle, vac bag, and strap 5.) Easy to switch over from blow to vac Cons: 1.) Found out where not to grab when vacuuming, the muffler is in a bad spot and I have touched the area twice already I really like it so far. I have about 3/4 of an acre with multiple trees on my property. I mow and trim around an inground pool, driveway, and landscaping. So, I use this to blow grass clippings off of my pool deck (works great,) clean clippings and debris off of driveway (works great,) blow leaves into piles and vacuum up (works excellent,) and to vacuum around my landscaping to clean out leaves and other debris such as trimmings from shrubs (also works well.) I would definitely recommend this to someone if they were to ask.

I have not used this item as a vacuum yet so my remarks relate to the blower. It is fantastic!!! The engine starts easily but it requires about 2 minutes of running to get beyond bogging down when revving up. The wind flow is quite sufficient to blow the grass clippings and dirt (from using an edger) off the sidewalk and driveway. I use the included strap to carry the blower which makes the chore of carrying the blower around much easier. To clean off the driveway and two sidewalks take less than 20 minutes. Time is drawing near to leaf removal so I will try to append this review after I try out the machine as a vacuum. It appears to be fairly straightforward. Considering the marginal difference in price for the vacuum tube and bag I thought it was a worthwhile gamble!

I had an older model of this but it started to leak gas. So I figured I'd give Toro a try. Got it at Home Depot. Well the tube kept flying off the machine. At first I didn't think I was locking it down but I checked and I was. It was just not tight enough to stay on with the vibration, and the vibration was intense. Next I tried a Hitachi from Lowes. Started easy enough, tube stayed on but it was way short, must have been designed for small people. Plus you had to keep the trigger squeezed to operate it which results in major hand cramps after 5 minutes or so of use. So I went ahead and got this from Amazon. Light enough but more powerful than the previous two. Has a trigger lock to stop the trigger at any position so you can operate it without holding it down. Starts very easy and the pull handle is in just the right place which makes a difference in effort. The tube stays on because it has a hook and a thumbscrew goes through the base to secure it so no chance of it coming loose. Very smart design. I have read that the probable cause of gas leaking in the earlier model was due to the Ethanol in gas. Especially being in it for long periods between not being used. It corrodes and dissolves the fuel lines inside. Somebody said to go to "pure-gas.org" and find Ethanol free gas to use in these machines. That is what I plan to do plus not leave any in the tank when keeping it over the winter.
