I have used Calphalon almost exclusively for 10 years now. In 10 years we have had to have 3 returned to Calphalon for no fuss replacement, which happens quickly - super customer service. 3 needed to be replaced due to years of use, well worth the cost of the pans to get 10 years out of them. As long as you follow the directions for care, Calphalon is amazing. I have learned the hard way that you DO NOT run cold water into your hot pan, DO NOT make hard candy in your non-stick pans (candy making better suited for hard anodized). The Unison is the newest pan I have tried. I LOVE IT. It heats nicely, cooks evenly and cleans up beautifully. I cannot attest to washing them in the dishwasher, I can't even see why you would need do. I use a wash cloth and soap and everything wipes right out.

I got the covered 3 qt SEAR pan just before xmas. I have all clad, seasoned cast iron, grill pans etc. This one leaves them all in the dust. I made steaks with a beautiful CRUST--not just browned, and the insides were beautiful tender med. rare, juicy and lovely pan sauce. I did rub a bit of olive oil on the one side of steak to get them going. (Would have been no problem to cook further but we like med. rare). I did not put the pan in the dishwasher because I use Finish detergent with bleach and instructions say don't use bleach additive detergent. But it cleans up so effortlessly it would be a waste to dishwasher it. I have browned meatballs in it, beautiful browning, nice fond in pan not burnt like in my all-clad stainless, again it just about cleans on its own. Browned pork ribs and chicken last couple of nights--perfect! The only thing I would change is to get a larger size---which I will do very soon! Costly, but worth every penny to me.

Exactly what I needed for everyday cooking. It's well built. I ruined my other pan that this one is replacing. It warped when I put cold water in the hot pan. Totally my fault. I will only hand wash this pan after it cools down. I think it will last a very long time.

Fantastic pot. Now my go to pot. The material is great, no sticking, easy to clean. They suggest only plastic or silicone to prevent scratching. Take special note of the lid. It's meant for you to be able to transfer to the oven so you'll need a glove.

Where do I start? This pan is my favorite! I also have a 5-quart Calphalon that I love, but depending on the meal, it is too big. This 3-quart pan is perfect for gravy, tomato sauces, pan frying, grilled cheese.. many other things but these are frequents in my home. The straight sides are the best for keeping foods from sloshing out. My silicone whisk is perfect for getting into the corners of the pan. Oh, and it cleans SO WELL. It is dishwasher safe. But we've never needed to put in the dishwasher because it wipes clean and only needs a quick soapy water rinse.

Never used a saute pan before but after watching my friend I decided to try and I love it. First, I am a Calphalon lover, second the non-stick surface is well made and the pan gets very hot in a little bit of time. I'm going to buy the next lower size for smaller meals :)

We use it to sauté and to fry. Requires little oil and is actually non-stick. Previous pan just like this one lasted about 7 years. Probably would have lasted longer if we had been more particular with utensils. Definitely recommend.

This is a lovely pan and it works beautifully. The size is perfect for me and it works as well for small portions as it does for larger portions. It is a clever use of non-stick coating that allows for sautéing because of the surface of the pan.

I learned how to cook at the tender age of ten, thanks to 4-H Home Economics back in the day. From even back then, the need for quality cookware was drilled into me. I've always had the best I could afford (which, for many years, wasn't much - especially during the negative-income days of the college years) and for a long time that meant having one stainless-steel saute pan and one nonstick saute pan. I'd use the stainless when I wanted to create a lovely browned meat and then deglaze the pan with wine or broth. The nonstick pan got pulled out when I was making something more delicate, such as a fish fillet. This year, my ten-year-old nonstick saute bit the dust. I noted the coating starting to bubble a bit, and I wasn't willing to risk using it any longer. I began my search for a replacement and was led to the Calphalon Unison line. After much research and hemming and hawing, I decided to go with the reasonably-priced 3-qt. saute - the exact size match to my old pan would have been the 4-qt, but I wasn't quite ready to shell out over $200 for a pan yet untried. Now, of course, I wish I had sprung for the slightly larger size. In short, not only has this pan replaced my trashed nonstick, I have no problem using it in place of my traditional tri-ply stainless much of the time. It browns meats, but releases foods (and mess!) easily. It goes in the oven. It goes in the dishwasher. The handle is sturdy. There's a helper handle (one reason I vetoed a similar pan during my search) for when you need the extra stability. For dinner tonight, I seared a pork tenderloin on all sides and then put it in the oven to finish. After a quick rinse, the pan went into the dishwasher. Is it any wonder this is my new favorite pan?

This is the finest nonstick pan I have ever owned. We have used this pan for two years now and only very light scratches are available on the surface. We have not had any problem with foods sticking and it cleans up very easily. Although Calphalon states that the pan is dishwasher safe we have never put it in the dishwasher and I don't see any point in taking that chance. It is frequently possible to find these pans at sale prices.
