I was reluctant to buy this, but since the 1st one has been in use, I bought several more of the damprid products. I live on the Gulf Coast so humidity is a year round issue. This has really reduced the moist feeling in the carpet and also greatly reduced the musky smell of damp carpet. I placed it under the desk in our office to keep moisture from the computer. But the whole room benefited from this simple product. Bought more for closets, autos and a large one for the shed to protect my tools!

Did the trick in a small, windowless bathroom. I also suggested running the fan if you have one and leaving the door open. I had a beginning mold problem, but this squelched the nasty stuff in its tracks. No more mold, no more bad smell. I will definitely buy this product again.

Living in South Florida comes with perks but also a lot of humidity. Since the first day it rained after we bought the house, I was welcomed home with a musky smell inside the living room. It took forever to troubleshoot the possible source of the smell as there was a lot of variable to take in account in the 1974 house we bought and moved in 2 years ½ ago. Everything was fine in the house unless the humidity climbs whether due to a rainfall or just by the end of the day where humidity reaches 95% most of the time especially from April to December. First I isolated the can lights which were not sealed and a lot of air was exchanged with the attic and the living space, then I filled the stucco cracks outside the house, then I used a commercial deionizer to burn the smell, that reduced the smell by 85% but it was not enough. Imagine being greeted home with a squirrel cage smell straight in your nose despite having no pet and a clean house. From the beginning, I knew the smell was linked with humidity so, I looked for dehumidifier machines and it was a no-go: the machine is loud, it is money black hole and a lot of maintenance to empty the bucket etc... So I went for this product for a try thinking that, I would save thousands and... I was right. The product has a small footprint, no smell, no noise, no electricity, just perfect. You unpack everything, hide the bucket somewhere not obvious and empty it on a regular basis. It took at least 2 days to kick off and since, the smell is gone !!!! Finally the musky smell is gone! I don't know why it does not work for other peoples but honestly, after 2 years ½ of struggles, this did the trick and now, I feel home and my nose it super happy.

I have use 3 of these now, one in my bedroom, one in the bathroom, and another in a spare bedroom. I've found them highly effective. The packets fan fit a little tightly in the container, but they have effectively removed moisture in every situation. If you can't use them effectively you are pretty much an idiot.

I live in a basement apartment and I need to run a dehumidifier almost all day long to prevent mold growth. I was looking for other options that could help me control the humidity levels while I am not at home and reduce my electric bill. I bought this product for my bedroom and it started working straight away. After a month, the container is almost full, and the humidity levels in the bedroom under control so far.

Moved into an old house in an area prone to flooding. While the house has been raised, it still had that musty smell from having been empty for a bit. Within just a few days the musty smell was gone. The price for this reusable container (and the refills) is so reasonable, I plan on keeping them handy for the whole summer. I currently have two of these in a 3500 sq ft. house. One upstairs and one down. I also have the charcoal one in the kitchen. Easy to stash them out of the way, and set a reminder to change them out.

I was skeptical at first but willing to give this a go. It has worked so much better than I thought it would! Sure, it's not the prettiest thing to look at, but when I saw how well it works, I don't care! In fact, it works better than an electric dehumidifier we tried a while back!

This works like magic. I had doubts initially as nothing happened the first few days and i thought i got ripped off. But at the end of the week, i noticed water collected at the bottom of the reservoir and noticed that our bathroom has gotten nice and dry and remains that way. Very impressed with this. Its been a month so far and the level of water in the reservoir has slowly risen to probably a couple of inches. Will definitely recommend this

This moisture absorber works great! I especially like the fact that you can see the moisture that it is pulling out of the air accumulating in the bottom of it. We haven't had to refill it yet, so I'm not sure on how easy that process is, but from the instructions it seems like a pretty simple procedure. This has really helped keep things a little nicer in our laundry room!

We live in the south in a little old house. The ventilation in our two bathrooms is very poor, so there is danger of mold since they stay very damp in the summer. Although these were advertised for use in larger spaces I think they do the job perfectly for our bathrooms! The water reservoir is always needing emptied and the mildewy towel smell is gone. Our rugs and towels actually dry quickly now which is amazing. I could not be happier with these. So far we have had them for about a month and they are still going strong!
