Better than Cuisinart CEK-40

Nice knife. I had a Cuisinart, but the switch became defective after a few years of use, so I bought a replacement --- different model number (CEK-40), but essentially the same. It died (same switch problem) after my initial use --- just trying it out. Amazon, of course, took it back without any hassle. So I got the Wolfgang Puck knife --- had to wait a bit, as it was announced but not released. The blades seem a bit long to me, but that is minor. It works perfectly, and looks really solid. I've used it about a dozen times by now, mostly carving roasted chicken.

A Very Good Knife

We received this knife as a gift years ago and my husband uses it to filet fish. For his Birthday I decided to buy him a brand new one. This would be the best filet knife we have ever owned!! I like the handle because on other filet knives that don't have one it will get hot from the motor and you will have to let it cool off before using it again. Nothing is wrong with our older one and it is still going strong but nothing wrong with having two!!

Sturdy and Powerful

One of the largest, longest and most powerful electric knives I've owned. Great for large and small poultry, meats, vegetables and fruit items. The two sets of self-sharpening knife blades are able to carve any thickness slice you desire without tearing or shredding. (Even cuts cardboard and foam rubber if the need should arise.) The handle rotates 360 degrees to easily permit any angle cut. There is a safety switch on the handle that must be constantly pressed during use -- anyone with a small hand-grasp (or arthritis) may find it challenging. The knife safely stores in the sturdy box it ships in. Great product at a great price.

Great product to have handy in the kitchen

I bought this carving knife for my sister for Christmas per her request. Her old carving knife had stopped working. She had seen the Wolfgang Puck Dual-Blade Carving Knife with rotating handle advertised on a TV network. She used it to carve a prime rib for Christmas. It worked like a pro. She was very pleased with it. Made slicing the roast a breeze. I would highly recommend this knife when your thinking about purchasing a new carving knife.
