Best Construction Costume on the Market

My 2 year old wanted to be a construction worker for Halloween. I found this costume and it seemed higher quality than others so I went for it. It was a big hit with my son! Now months after Halloween, he's still wearing it around and it's holding up pretty well. The only problem we have had is with the helmet - the inner adjusting strap keeps falling out. I'm thinking I will glue it in so we don't lose that piece. He's 2 and the vest goes down mid-thigh. I'm not sure how well this would fit a child that's 5+.

Comes with so many great accessories for dress-up!

This is a fantastic gift for a 5 year old, especially one that enjoys playing dress-up. We purchased this for our nephew, who has recently started getting excited about dress-up. He loved that this came with lots of tools – a stethoscope, shot, mask, jacket, name-tag, and a couple of other cool doctor tools. Some of them click and do something when played with, which he loved, and the stethoscope makes a heart beat sound when it's button is depressed (and batteries are added). Because this is much more than just a costume – it has all of the fun accessories with it that look real enough to a 5 year old – it is a really exciting toy. We thought this would be something he would play with for 5 minutes, but he spent an hour with it the first night he got it, doctoring everyone willing to sit for him. He called us a few days later (with assistance, of course), and he threatened to make a house call if we didnt come to see him for our appointment right then. We heard he dressed up and continued to play doctor to all visitors who came to the house over this past weekend. Who knows how long he'll continue to play with it, but he's already gotten so much time out of it and was so excited about it from the start, that we are so happy with the gift. We should mention that he did have an accident earlier this year and had to go to the ER for a few hours to get stitched up, and it was especially exciting to him to be able to play the role of doctor, after having that stressful but stimulating experience.

Great roll play or costume. Good quality, Moms Pro and con review

My 2 and 3 yr old boys love it. We have had this for over 8 months and my children still like to play with it. It comes with the jacket that closes with Velcro, plastic badge, fire extinguisher that squirts water, bullhorn that makes a siren sound , and an adjustable helmet. Wonderful play costume!

My 4 year old firefighter loves it! The name tag adds a special touch with room also for a small ID photo. I expected it to be paper but it's plastic like a credit card. The horn takes 2 triple A batteries and the sound is realistic like a fire siren but surprisingly not terribly loud. The extinguisher is light weight and has no sounds or anything which is fine. The jacket closes with velcro. It is light weight but not cheap feeling at all. The reflective material is functional and realistic. I do wish it was a little bigger, sleeves longer, as it now fits my 4 year old perfectly but my son is taller and comparison in size to a 5 or 6 year old. It's going to make a great Halloween costume paired with the firefighter rain boots I bought on Amazon and black pants.

Fireman costume

This is the cutest fireman costume! It looks exactly like what was in the picture. My son wore it for Halloween and it fit him perfectly. He is a 3T for reference. He continues to play with the costume. The material is good quality. The horn actually makes a firetruck sound. The hat is a little large and even with the plastic insert to adjust it, it kept coming off. I decided to secure it inside with some hot glue, but otherwise, I have no real complaints. The jacket is thick enough to wear on cooler days. I like the attachment holder for the fire extinguisher. The jacket hits my son in his thighs. There is no part of the material that seems to bother or rub him. I would recommend this outfit for anyone that has children who love firemen!

SUPER CUTE!!!

My daughter LOVES the doctor kit. The pieces all fit nicely in the jacket; which is very well made! The heartbeat stethoscope was a huge hit, as many of the more inexpensive doctor kits we have purchased in the past, simply did not do anything. Only complaint from my daughter was that the Doctor Mask does not fit comfortably around her ears. The company tried to make it adjustable (which is great), but the Velcro tabs that are being used are very scratchy against the ears if it turns slightly. Otherwise, definitely worth the price!!

Three year old tested & approved!

My three year old was thrilled when I told him his costume had arrived and we were both very excited to find this high quality jacket, hat, bullhorn, and extinguisher in the package. The coat is a thicker fabric with real reflective tape (a big plus since it will be his Halloween costume) that seems like it will hold up well for a while to come. The hat is also a thicker, hard plastic of good quality. The fire extinguisher is a good size and looks realistic though I wish you could squeeze the handle for the full effect. I haven't even had a chance to put batteries in the bullhorn yet but it is also a good size and seems like a quality product. He is a pretty average size three year old boy and the coat and hat both fit him well with room to grow into it without looking oversized. His only complaint is the hat is "too heavy" but he's used to a flimsy, plastic one he got at a party so that is relative. I don't usually write product reviews but this one really earned a shout out for being a quality product that was exactly what my son & I were hoping for!

Great dress-up outfit!

What a delightful dress-up outfit for the construction-minded kids in your life. The outfit is durable, well-made and has enough accessories to make a little one feel and look like a real construction worker. This was a must for my grandsons after watching the video series "The Detonators" and all of their other construction videos. They even got to wear them when they met Jim Redyke of Dykon Explosive Demolition and he was kind enough to autograph their hardhats. Even if you're not lucky enough to go to a demolition, if your little ones like to play construction worker, buy this outfit for them! It will last and last and afford a great deal of fun!

Great outfit

I bought this for my 3 year old daughter to wear for community helper day. She loves construction equipment and vehicles. It is a great outfit, complete with hat and tools. She loved the badge, which you can attach a picture of your child and write their name. It was big on her, but it was fine to wear for a couple of hours.

Fantastic Quality

Worth the extra cost. Well stitched and made of good quality materials. Excellent attention to details. Sturdy accessories. My toddler is just moving to a 3T clothing size. This is not too big, but still allows for a few years of growth. I will order more costume/play sets from Melissa and Doug. Worthy of gift giving. Overall, quite pleased with this purchase.
