I bought this for a jacuzzi that I was feeding powdered chlorine too. I fixed my problem of over or under chlorinating. PROS: Seems to leach the chlorine at a perfect rate. The flow is adjustable as is the amount of chlorine you put in. Seems to save me on my chlorine bill and has reduced over and under chlorination. CONS: None that I can see. It's cheap and effective. BOTTOMLINE: Works great!

I usually fill up the inside chamber with Kem-Tek 2815-6 Chlorinating Tablets 1-Inch Pool and Spa Chemicals and leave it in the pool when no one is swimming. I haven't had to change the water in the pool at all this summer. I also use a a filter (Intex 1000-Gallon Filter Pump AC 110 to 120-Volt)
It works. It is small, about the size of a man's hand, so do not buy this for your 5000 gallon pool. If you have a hot tub or small pool, it will work and it will work well. I love it. I own a ten foot diameter by thirty inch deep pool with a pump. I put 2 one inch chlorine tabs in and let it float away. It takes about 3 days to completely dissolve but the water is sparkly and doesn't feel slimy.
Had one of these I bought in Walmart several years ago for my hot tub. Recently the cap broke (well it didn't break but the little "lock" broke so when you turn it it doesn't lock in place). I went back to Walmart and they no longer have them but this is exactly what i wanted at a good price. I think for this price and it lasting about 3 years it's a good deal. Easy to get your chlorine tablet in.
These are for small pools and tubs. They are made for 1" chorine tablets, but I also just break up a 3" tablet wrapped in a paper towel with a hammer and put some of the pieces in. Sometimes our store is out of the 1" tablets and the pool store is too expensive. I have a small pool that is 6' around and holds 234 gallons of water. its nice to sit in and just cool off after cutting the lawn.
Perfect for wading pool. This is the perfect size the keep the water in the blow up pool from turning green in the summer. No need to be wasting 500 gallons of water the dump the pool any more. I did find that it was hard to find the 1 inch pellets in smaller quantities, but I could buy single 3 inch pellets at the hardware. I bought the 3 inch and broke it into small enough pieces to fit in this little cutie. Pleased with the purchase.

Set it forget it lol. I use this in conjunction with shock granules I scoop into pool and test strips. I haven't had to drain pool at all I just keep using this dispenser with my routine to keep cloudiness down and bacteria away! That's how small it is you can see it by my railing. This thing is only about 6x4 inches so if your pool is small buy it!
Bought this for a friend, works perfectly in her little pool. HIGHLY suggest using a little float like this and not tossing tablets into the pool alone. This seems to get stuck under the cover some times. Place the float by the incoming pump flow. Very Happy perfect for small pools.
Found this lil gem for my temporary kiddie pool until we are done installing my large above ground pool. I put a few 1” Clorox chlorine tablets in it, secured the top shut, slid the side openings to allow the chlorine to dispense, and threw it in my 250 gallon Intex inflatable kiddie (well....adult!) chill pool. Simple and no frills. Does its job and I highly recommend for SMALL pools or hot tubs! So far no green water and it’s great not having to dump and refill every other day. Water is still crystal clear weeks later despite some crappy weather. I make sure to use a skimming net (you can find a decent one for cheap here on Amazon!) to get all debris out of the pool in addition to using this bad boy! A must-have for any small pool! Your water bill will thank you! See photos!
