Easy install. Carpet is real rigid so I recommend not to trim cable ties until carpet breaks in and forms to step. Then you can snug up ties and trim them

I purchased the 23" brown covers for my Class A Holiday Rambler motorhome, which has two steps with motorized retraction. To answer the question if they are too thick for this type of application, the answer is no, they work just fine, although the motor will work just a bit harder for the first few times, then return to normal once the mat conforms to the step edges. I also adhered closely to the instruction not to tighten the ties too much, and had no problems doing them incrementally in about three steps of tension. Fully tightening them was unnecessary as I noticed that the rubber backing on the carpet does a great job of keeping them firmly in place well before the ties were even semi-taught, and I could not reposition them once I started. The quality over the typical mats is very apparent, and well worth the extra cost. My only complaint is that there were subtle differences in the color shade of each step mat, and even the floor mat...obviously from different supplier lots, but not enough to remove a star in my opinion. I hope this answers some of the unknowns that I could not find in other feedback.

Ok, so first I've given these five stars because they are a great quality step rug and I feel they will hold up well and we'll get our money's worth from them. Now, with that said, I did run across two things that I'd like to point out to those of you thinking of purchasing these. The first, be very mindful of where you route the zip ties! Like the non-instruction reading male that I am, I happily installed all three of these (we bought one for each step) and then stood back to admire my work. I tried to fold up my RV steps and BAM, I had ran the zip ties under one of the support beams and the steps wouldn't fold up. So don't be like me! Be mindful of that while installing! Second, and this is a minor gripe and not a ding off of the rugs themselves. Once I fixed the above issue, I then realized that because of the thickness of these, I had to really push hard to get my steps to completely fold into the RV. There is just enough girth to these to cause them to rub together on my particular brand of steps. It does not keep them from folding up, but I must push fairly hard to get past that last fold. Just something to keep in mind. I figure as we use them they will probably wear just a bit where the steps meet and will probably become easier to fold up.

I purchased three covers for my fold out Lippert steps on my 2020 Grand Design Imagine. Carpets are easy to install, however the second and bottom steps rub together from the carpet thickness when folding steps in. I removed the bottom carpet from the step as it would not fold in. The steps stick out from the side of the trailer. I ordered a Presto fit spring set available and will attach the bottom step when I setup each time.

I ordered this rug 5 years ago and have just reordered it. I decided not to use it on the retractable steps of my motorhome because the thickness seems to create stress on the steps when they are retracted. I use it on the stand alone step stool. I use zip ties to secure the rug to the stool. I have cut thinner indoor outdoor pieces to fit and glued them in place for the retractable steps. Because this rug is thick and rugged, it is a very effective initial method to remove dirt from shoes.

I actually bought these for my dogs. Our oldest dog did not like the metal steps on our travel trailer. They didn't seem to grip her feet correctly. I was looking for an easy solution and found these! They fit our Jayco 197 Ultra Lite perfectly! Not only can our dogs now easily grip on the steps, it helps brush off the dirt and leave it outside! Word of advice, follow the directions. You don't want to over tighten the zip tie or they might break. We did this on one, and it did break, but we had extras. They have been on the camper all season this year, and have done very well, and my steps stil fold up perfectly!

This fit my 2012 Winnebago Navion/View perfectly. The steps showed their age and these step covers really make the entry way look much nicer. Added bonus that they are outdoor carpet and will keep some of the camping dirt and muck outside the RV. The heavy duty zip ties are much more preferred than other spring type connectors but you must have a tool (snips, needle nose plier or stout scissors) to cut off the excess. I would purchase these again, and will if they wear out.

Ordered three of these for our travel trailer to keep dirt and debris out of the trailer and they do the job and look great! The only issue was that we could not fold our steps up after installing all three. We had to remove the second step rug in order for them to fold and stow properly. Since we had to cut the large zip ties to remove the rug and didn't want to have to keep buying new ones, we found some small bungees that will hold the second step rug on when we arrive at the campground and then will remove that rug before folding the stairs to depart. That way our little dogs will be able to get in and out of the trailer a lot easier without slipping on the metal steps and the dust and dirt will stay out of the trailer. They appear to be very well made, look great, and we expect to get a lot of use out of them. I would definitely recommend these!

I have had the step rug on my motorhome for almost a month now. Installation is straight forward but it can be difficult tightening up the tie wraps to keep the cover tightly formed around the step. I tightened the wraps as good as I could and let the rug sit for a day. I then took up the slack and it was easier since the rug had conformed to the step better. I am hopeful the step cover will last a long time. No wear showing yet.

Purchased these for our class A motor home with three steps. These are MUCH better than the cheaper outdoor grass type ones I installed last year. When those were wet they were a little slippery. We have 11" deep steps and although the fit was a little tight wrapping them around the steps, the large zip ties worked well securing them underneath. Overall these are great and I am very happy with them.
