Not just for dance!
I was on a quest for quality tights for our girls to wear with their school uniform jumpers. The reviews of this product as well as the transitional features are what sold me. These tights far exceeded my expectations even for everyday school wear vs. once a week for a few hours at dance class. The fit was as expected; perfect for our daughters so there's no figuring out whose tights are whose when getting dressed in the mornings. Another plus with tights in general (vs. socks) is that they're always ready to go after washing & drying. No need to find the match to make a pair (those infernal unmatched socks!). Despite frequent use, they have held up very well even out of the washing machine. To be honest I don't hand wash them as suggested - they wind up in the hamper more times than not! Other tights are subject to running and tearing even after one or two wears; or after a child in a hurry pulls them on way too quickly by the waistband, or poke their toe too forcefully out the end. They snag and sometimes sag out of shape. Not so with these. IMO, the hole at the bottom (which makes them transitional) actually prevents the toe-hole problem. It gives the toes somewhere to go rather than through the material! They are thin enough to be comfortable, but thick enough to provide warmth as well as remain durable. Because they are transition tights, the girls can walk around in their bare feet when they get home before changing out of their uniforms & not soil the soles. In fact, I liked the transition feature so much that I purchased a few pairs of women's transition tights for myself (different product listing, obviously)! I will purchase more as the school year progresses. My one complaint: I wish they were available in navy blue too!

Soft and durable tights
Best ballet tights for sure. You can't go wrong with Capezio. These tights surprisingly lasted two entire ballet seasons without tearing or pulling, and my little girl is rough on tights and leggings. We love the transition feature, and the opening at the sole does not appear to bother my daughter at all. They are so soft to the touch and wash up very well even when dried in the dryer. My daughter is petite and tall, and although we usually have a hard time getting clothes to fit her properly, these tights hold up well. I would definitely recommend and will consider buying these again in the future.

Pretty pink dance tights
I love these tights. They ar the prettiest color pink and they have holes in the feet so they can be pulled up around the ankles. This helps when my daughters ballet class does freestyle dancing at the end of class, for fun. And she can wear the tights to ballet with any shoes and not worry about snagging the tights material on the shoes (Velcro). My daughter is 6 years old, 45 inches, 39 lbs and the small (4-6?) size fits great.

Best money can buy
We've been using these tights for years, and they are well-worth the expense. These tights wear decently, are butter soft, and best of all, are super-comfortable and don't bunch. After 14 years of buying dance wear, we hope to never have to purchase another brand for competition, and refuse to buy any other brand and style for daily classes.

Excellent for young ballet students!
These tights are wonderful! They don't have baggy ankles like the Danskin tights we had tried before, and they don't have a weird shimmer like some do. They have a gusset in the crotch, so they aren't uncomfortable to wear without underpants, which is a bonus since many ballet studios require that children start going without underpants starting at a young age (to keep from having weird bumps on their tights and leos where the seams are). I hand wash them and hang dry and they come out looking as good as new every time!

Incredibly soft transitional tights
I purchased the pink size 8 -12 for my six year old daughter. She typically wears a 6, 6X or 7. If the girl you are purchasing the tights for is between a 6 to 7 I would recommend sizing up. The tights seem to sun a little small. The pink tights are a beautiful ballet pink color. They are soft and have a thick elastic band at the top. This was the first pair of transitional tights my daughter had ever owned and they are perfect for her to wear her favorite flip flops to and from dance class.

Fit 4-year-old perfectly
These fit my 4-year-old daughter very well. She is 40.5" tall and weighs 36 lbs, for reference. They are plenty stretchy, nice thick quality, and will hopefully last her all year. I don't think they would fit a size six child, though.

Will Last For Months
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CH3MS8/ref=twister_dp_update?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 I purchased the caramel tights in a size 8-12 for my daughter to where during jazz and tap. She loves the transition style so she can pull the tights up around her ankles so she can wear flip flops to and from the dance studio. She is 7 years old, about 50" tall, slender frame around 56lbs, so the size 8-12 were a perfect fit although she doesn't like how the waistband sits above her belly button. Simple solution, fold over waistband once without it looking bulky or squeezing her like a sausage in the middle. The caramel color is a close nude, so not too pale or too dark. I personally love the thickness and overall quality of this particular tight because it holds up well for several months with good care. I hand wash the tights and hang dry them to make sure they last as long as possible. Due to their thickness, I believe they are able to withstand snags and avoids tears fairly well. I also have a pair for my daughter in ballet pink that she wore once a week that lasted the whole season of 10 months. Highly recommend and will purchase over and over until she gets too tall for this size.

Soft, durable and true to size.
These are what my dance studio requires as far as brand and style of tights for ballet technique classes as well as recital tights and competition wear. They do fade after many washings, but MANY, like when you're dancing 15 hours plus per week and competing, all your stuff gets worn out. But they have never ran or ripped. Eventually, they do stain in the feet from dirty dance floors and black tap and jazz shoes, but I just buy 2 fresh pairs before we need to look good. The 8-12 sizing is true to the brand, I've found all the 8-12 size Capezio tights are consistently sized and I was worried when I ordered these online rather than from my local dance shop that they wouldn't be true to siZe because of all the reviewers that have stated that. I'm wondering if they've never ordered this brand before or are new to dancing because these tights are exactly the same ones I buy locally at the dance shops and have been buying for years now. When you first open them up, of course they look itty bitty, because they're tights. But tights stretch, just as they are intended to do. Great product Capezio. Oh, and we also love the transition style foot. It fits and feels just like a closed-toe, but has so much more versatility than a closed-toe tight. You cannot see the holes on the bottom when you're wearing any dance shoe. These tights are soft and durable.

Best tights we have owned
We love these tights and keep repurchasing them. They are incredibly soft and comfortable, and the when my daughter pulls the tights to cover her toes, the hole at the bottom of her foot doesn't bug her. The tights fit well and the color is lovely. Best tights we have owned.
