Great game, and i was raised on Mavis Beacon (which i loved)

This program has a feature where you basically type passages from classics, fairytales... Ive included a list in the pictures. This is by far one of the best features of this game.

Fun!

After reading the mixed reviews I was a little worried that this game might not upload correctly on my iMac (I'm running OS X version 10.9.2) but I was pleased to have no trouble getting the game up and running. It is running well and my 8 year old has enjoyed it so far.

Great price, quick delivery

Great price, quick delivery. This is THE BEST program to use for typing instruction for kids. Please know you will not regret. Plus, because it is an older game yet still workable on all current MAC/PC platforms, it's the best bang for your buck. I know they have transitioned to the online version, and while I cannot speak to that, I know that this meets all requirements in my book. Fun, challenging, glitch-free. I use with Mac 10.8.5.

We bought the kit here on Amazon. The typing instructor worked on our 10.8.5 mac. It did take about an hour for it to load. After that, it has been working great. Our 12 year old enjoys learning & playing the games.

Great for kids!

I got this for my 9 yr old and she loves it! She is learning correct finger placement and loves the various games to help her practice. We have been using it for 2 weeks and she has learned the 3 rows of letters rather well. Her WPM increase every time she uses it, which is every day.

Great program; works on OS 10.9

I bought this for my son to practice typing. It works great on system 10.9.2. We tried to install it on an older machine (10.3), but it says it needs at least system 10.4 to run. My seven-year-old son has spent quite a lot of time practicing typing since we've bought this software. He loves it! There is a large variety of games and learning activities. They are well done. One issue that you may care about but we do not is that this program does not fill the whole screen: the background is blacked out and the program uses a small window in the center of the screen. I personally think this is good, as it's easier to focus on a small area when you're learning.

My first child is a great typist at her age

My first child is a great typist at her age. She learned from this program at age 9 I think. Now she is 12 and types better than a lot of adults I know. I have tried twice to get my son started (7 and then 8) and he is having a difficult time not being frustrated by not moving on quickly. Maybe a boy thing.
