Industrial size
Didn’t realize the packets are industrial size. Will have to figure out a way to use them in smaller quantities.

Item easier to find on Amazon than in the local grocery store.
Will use this all winter for pie toppings or cake making. Good product. Love Dream Whip.

Whipped Cream made to order.
My family and I love this product. It is a practical and necessary product for use in countries that don't have whipping cream available regularly. With this as a stabilizer and judicious use of milk, you make your own version of Cool Whip/whipped cream to make cakes and desserts with. And it is shelf stable as a dry powder and is very easy to store for long periods of time. A must have in tropical kitchens.

Better than Cool Whip from the grocery! Here's why.... Just ADD WATER
Not sure why the Amazon ad says 60 pack??? That aside, I received a full case of of 12 packages, each of which contains 10.8 ounce packages (which matches the text description). I think the price at the time was fair (49.16/case). Since the packets ONLY HAVE INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMMERCIAL KITCHEN PREPARATION (Large restaurant-size batch), I have included below some of my helpful tips for use by the homecook. If you are a thrifty shopper, then this is a good purchase if you have the proper storage space. I poured several packages into a 10-cup storage container, which I keep handy for kitchen use. The other packages I packed & stored away in the pantry for later. Since real whip cream often expires before I can use it, I find this to be VERY handy! AND really good! To make 2 Cups of whipped topping: 3/4 C Ice-cold water 1/2 C Dream Whip powder NOTE: the water MUST BE Ice cold. I put water in a cup then drop an ice cube into the cup it & stick it in freezer. Then after a few minutes I remove it and measure out the proper amount of cold water. Whisk the water and powder until blended, then using electric mixer, beat on HIGH for 3-4 minutes. (I usually also chill the beaters and bowl in the freezer to aid in the process.) Chill immediately. Alternative uses - No sugar needed! For flavored icing or cake layer fillings: Just add about 1 Tablespoons any flavor of gelatin or JELLO into the mix prior to beating. This results in a light airy layer of flavored whipped cream cake filling. A little grainy due to the undissolved Jello crystals. Perhaps would work better instead with a drop or two of a good quality flavored oil (like the kind used for candy making). For a quick mousse: Just add 1 or 2 Tablespoons of any flavor instant pudding mix ( and prepare as explained above). Again, no need to add sugar. At any rate this is a great item to have stashed as part of your emergency pantry stock!
