You must have the AppleCare Protection Plan. Three years at a very low price. I have a Mac Pro and have already used the AppleCare Protection Plan due to a graphic card that went out and was replaced free. I got my wife an IMac and definitely got her this added three year protection. Feel safe in buying Apple products from Amazon. The price here is much cheaper than from Apple and it is exactly the same.

My MacBook was purchased with a Applecare warranty, in less than a year the hard drive got noisy. I called Apple on Monday, received a FedEx box to send the laptop in Tuesday AA, sent the laptop Tuesday afternoon, Apple got the box and Wednesday 9AM and sent it out Wednesday afternoonat 3PM and I received it back Thursday at 11AM. Besides replacing the drive , they copied all the info onto the new drive and said the battery was not up to their standards and replaced that also. Two and a half years after it was purchased the battery would not hold a full charge, called Apple, got a battery the next day with a shipping label to return the old battery to Apple. Having owned the laptop for 2 years and 9 months I sold the laptop on eBay with 3 months left on the warranty for $300 less than I paid for it 33 months prior. Same scenario with the refurbished MacBook laptop I purchased to replace my other MacBook, only it was sold in 6 months for $50 more than I paid for it, also with an AppleCare warranty. THEN I screwed up.. bought a 24" iMac and was going to buy the Applecare warranty when the computer was 11 months old, well I missed the 11 month mark due to a family emergency and did not call Apple until it was over a year old, despite my sob story I could not talk the rep into selling me the warranty. No problem, I kept the iMac for almost 2 years and sold it on Craigslist a couple months ago. Last month I purchased a 27" iMac and asked for Amazon Gift Cards for Christmas gifts from family members. Today I ordered my AppleCare warranty for my new iMac. Apple makes a great product and for the price for full protection on my iMac I'll keep on buying the Applecare warranties.

I ordered this protection plan to continue coverage on my new iMac that I purchases last year in Dec. After installing and registering my product I had to call Apple for some instructions. Apple confirmed the purchase of my iMac and helped me with my questions and concerns. I didn't open the box and set up my new iMac until the beginning of March, however; the purchase date was exact. I'm pleased with my purchase of the protection plan. I've been told that it's the best thing you can do for your apple product and of course they offer a protection plan for all of their products. I recommend that apple users purchase the protection plan, especially if you're a pc user because it really helps to have that expert help anytime of the day or night.

Have purchased Apple Care in the past. Found it to be one of the best extended warranties I have ever purchased. Purchasing through Amazon.com is like icing on the cake, in that the same product is less expensive that I have been able to find anywhere else.

Works just like store bought. Cheaper than store bought versions. Extends your macs warranty by 2 years, and you get free phone support. Plus the tech will come over to your house.

I recently bought and received a Imac 27" I5 desktop computer, and as I did with my almost 7 year old Powerbook notebook computer, I bought the Apple extended warranty. Not that I don't trust the quality of Apple products, but I sleep better at night knowing that I have this extended warranty on my VERY WAY_KEWL Imac computer...

If you buy an iMac, you should buy the AppleCare, it's that simple. For that matter you should but AppleCare for any Apple product you buy that it's available for. Don't gripe that the iMac is expensive enough and it should be included. Or if you want to gripe, buy it anyway. When I switched from PC's to Apple, I was like a fish out of water. I was on the phone quite a bit with Apple about the Time Capsule, Air Port, Apple TV, iPhone, iMac, MacBook, you name it. What's wonderful about Apple support is that it's easy to get someone on the phone pretty quickly, that speaks clear english, is knowledgeable and will stay on the phone as long as it takes to resolve your issue. When you know you have such a great resource at your disposal, there is no need to fumble around with online help or through manuals, you just pick up the phone. Ever try that with Dell?

Ordered the apple care from Amazon at a significant cost savings had I purchased it direct from Apple. Got free shipping to boot. Once it arrived, stuck the disk in, followed the directions, input my serial number of my computer, and the code from the apple care and viola! Done! Easy as that! Will also be buying my apple care for my new iPhone 4 from Amazon in the near future.

Apple computers are expensive thus when I purchased my first one I decided I would add this protection for the unit. The cost was most reasonable on Amazon when compared with the store price. LIke I wrote I hope I don't need to use it and thus far in the first two months I have not. It's great to know though I can use anytime I need to do so without adding extra cost each time I call.

You may never need this plan, but it's good to have if you're not tech savy. This also really helps the resale value of your iMac if you're going to sell it before three years. Best of all, you can't beat the price. Amazon is far less expensive than going through Apple.
