Awesome for a multimedia setup!
This 4-gang plate was easy to install and looks great! You can use the four clips behind the drywall and/or the two included long screws with guides to go into the stud. I mounted 2 power outlets, an outlet of speaker connectors for surround sound and another with HDMI, Ethernet, Coax and RCA.

Looks great!
I bought this to add a recessed outlet above my light switch for a tablet that I have hanging in front of it. It was super easy to install, but is very deep! Make sure that it will fit before purchasing. It fit in my wall, but is touching the other wall. Build very well.

Great old work box, worth the $$
So worth the money!! Girlfriend wanted tv over the fireplace, and of course did not want ANY wires showing so off I set to mount television. Mind you there are no outlets or cable or hdmi or anything of the sort up there. I used the four gang edition works well for lots of low voltage jacks and comes with a divider to separate high from low voltage connections for safety and code purposes. it has four old work wings that hold the box in from coming out and then a trim ring with white finished screws to keep the box from pushing into the wall cavity. Our house has plaster, yes plaster not drywall, and there is a a plaster layer over the brick fireplace, so I was able to cut into the plaster and slide the work box in there. I definitely would use this box again and love it.

Plenty of space for a GFCI / AFCI outlet
Used this 1-recessed box to run electricity for a gfci for a small tv in our bathroom. Very easy to install. The 12/2 w/ground conductor was held securely in place. It has plenty of space behind for a gfci and more conductors. It's about the size of a deep single gang box. I cut the hole that was stated and it was a perfect fit. Works as an old work or new work box.

Works exactly as you'd expect
I installed a post-construction, double gang outlet box behind my TV when I hung it on the wall in the bedroom. Problem is, with a regular outlet, the plugs stick out from the wall, making them difficult if not impossible to plug in. This recessed outlet box was EXACTLY what I needed. Now, the plugs can be accessed and plugged/unplugged without un-hanging the TV. Some comments: First, I'd mount the TV and get it where you want it, then see where the best place to have your outlets is. My TV is on the wall with no hutch/credenza/entertainment center, so I don't have a DVD player connected to it. I have an Apple TV and a Firestick (Apple TV sits on top of the top edge of the TV), and both require outlets. For this reason, I put the top of this box almost even with the Top of the TV (maybe 1/2" below). You can't see the outlets unless you stand right in front of the TV and look down behind the top, but I can still access the plugs. Also note that this thing is BIG, but does use a slightly smaller than standard double-gang plate inside of it. It also goes the entire depth of a 2x4 stud wall, so if you cut the big hole required and find there's something behind the sheet rock (diagonal brace or something), you'll have to either remove the obstruction or make mods to the box. Great product.

Mounts in a Standard Depth Stud - Clean Install
I recently purchased and installed this so that I could hide all the cords behind my wall mounted plasma television. Just so everyone knows, this is a gang box only. You will still need to purchase the electrical outlet, HDMI outlet, etc of your choice to install. When the box first arrived it looked like it might be too large to install in a standard wall depth (2X4 studs are generally 3 & 3/4 inches deep). I put a measuring tape on it before cutting into my wall and it fit. The gang box can be used in new construction or old construction applications. My application was an old construction situation where I cut out the drywall and set the box in the new hole. Overall, the installation went well and I am satisfied with the outcome. One thing I must point out is that the gang box relies on a cover piece to pull tension against the sheet rock to stay in place. It is the second piece from the right in the exploded product photo. This piece is not perfectly flush with the wall. It will stick out about 3 or 4 mm (about the thickness of a wall socket cover). This typically is not a big deal, but if you require an absolutely flush application, this might not be the solution for you. The best benefit of this item was that I ended up with an HDMI outlet and a Leviton 47605-ACS J-Box Surge Protective Kit - Single AC Power Module that were both mounted in a recessed manner into the wall. This meant that when I plugged in the television and HDMI cable the plugs did not bump into the television. The television is completely wire free to the eye and does not look as imposing now. Hope this helps. Feel free to comment if you have any questions.

Cleaned up the cabling mess.
This unit did a good job of cleaning up the wiring mess in my home theater. It now holds a 5-speaker wall plate (5.1), four speaker wall plate (outdoor speakers), two HDMI cables (recessed nose plate), and a keystone plate with two video cables and three network cables. That's a lot of stuff in one 4-gang wall plate. It was easy to install, and has a fair amount of working space inside. For those of you doing a home theater install, be aware that a 5-speaker plate has a nonstandard size, and will require some work with a file or Dremel to make it fit properly. I would buy this product again, and would recommend it to a friend.

Lokks awesome.
When we moved into our older home we had a wall outlet that someone cut the hole in the wall too big for a standard wall outlet, plus they cut the hole no where near a stud, so the outlet that was there was just loose and could not be used. It was like that for 15 years because we never knew how to fix it, but then i came across this on amazon. I bought this hoping it would work and it did. I had to make the hole just a little bigger but then we installed it and it is wonderful. After 15 years i am so happy that i have an outlet that works and looks good. It was a little difficult attaching the old wired but we finally figured it out and i am so happy with it. It is very deep so make sure you have room in your wall.

Truly Great Product
1) Very well made 2) Plenty of room for connections. I had 3 12/2 w/grnd wires and this box was able to handle all that wire with ease 3) Easy to install. I had a "old work" installation and the "flippers" were very sturdy, not like the big box store blue box old work flippers 4) The trim plate looks very professional. 5) Single gang specifications 3 3/8" wide, 6" tall, 3 7/8" deep. The deep measurement includes a 1/2" drywall so it will fit any standard 2x4 stud location with 1/8" to spare Just a comment on the packaging. It is a very nicely packaged product. But it looked so big I thought I ordered the wrong product and almost returned it without opening. LOL

Sized for wall wart
The box was used to hang an AmbientWeather WS-2000 display unit - very easy install. The cutout is larger than standard single gang but is hidden behind the WS-2000 display. The outlet mounting box is large enough to accommodate the WS-2000 power supply (wall wart). The screws (pictured) on the outlet mounting box were installed by me, 6/32 machine screws - used a tap to thread the box. The outlet mounting box frame is more than thick enough to allow secure threading.
